Things that actually work 1) Retinols of all kinds (retin A being the best no longer available in Dubai. I moved on to differin which is a lot more gentle, but not as effective) 2) AHAs and BHAs (these are exfoliants. I prefer BHAs myself) 3) suncreams and antioxidant serums (100% physical sunscreen is better as it doesn't break down) 4) copper peptides. Need to be kept in the fridge Generally I recommend Paula's Choice and Skinactives (they do a great antioxidant serum that's just $25) Other things that work 1) Low sugar, low alcohol diet 2) microneedling 3) fraxel and similar lasers (fractional lasers) 4) RF, but it's a mild effect 5) Ulthera (hurts like a b*tch apparently) 6) chemical peels Can you buy Paula's Choice and Skinactives in Dubai?

Don't stress - don't have first hand experience but it wouldn't concern me as long as the IB school have a good reputation? Sadly the Dreamliner isn't on either my way out or into to London! Annoyingly! Yep SL - I am so sick of EK and their overcharging! Bring on the competition :) Hi. How do you know if it's the Dreamliner or not? Silly me.

Hi, sorry to hear about your injury. Which hospital are you at so can discount specialists there? No first hand experience but past posts have highly recommended: Dr. Moosa Kazim, Orthosports http://www.orthosp.com/index.php?id=72 Dr.Chris Whately http://www.medcareorthopaedics.com/index.php?option=com_doctorview&id=1&Itemid=126 Know it's not ankle but a friend had her knee done by him and highly recommends him. Wishing you a speedy recovery CP.

As a teacher myself I would say that an end of year present is not expected and very much appreciated. The best presents I got were a small box of chocolate truffles- no guilt and too small to share with my children, a pen with my name on it- can't be stolen by kids or other teachers - or anything handmade by the kids themselves- biscuits, picture or a letter/ card. I don't like class gifts as it puts pressure on everyone to give and can make some parents/ kids feel bad- unless it is a photo or a large thank you card. edited by kemsmum on 03/06/2014 How refreshing is this!

Hi,thank you. I don't have those grey buttons. Under the Google logo, there's Arabic. Underneath that is a long rectangle with what looks like a microphone icon on the left. On very top left hand cornerof the page there are 9 tiny grey squares - when I click on those, they are for Youtube, Gmail etc. On the right of those 9 grey squares is Arabic writing, on the right of that is the word "Gmail" and more Arabic on the right of that.

I saw nice quirky but tasteful cufflinks at Dtales Jumeirah. They don't have too many maybe 8 to 9 pairs but nice ones. Just had a look at their website, really lovely things. Will be popping down there to have a look.. Thanks a bunch!

Hi. Am looking for something tasteful for a friend's 40th. He's a very classic dresser but likes a touch of quirkiness - loves cufflinks like VW van etc. If you have time, NOTHS have a brilliant selection - http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/gifts/shop-by-recipient/for-him This is fantastic, saw lots of other things I like - thank you!

Friends from UK were here recently, twice, and bought packets of those instant noodles for her uni kids. Packed them with checked-in luggage, experienced no probs. Oh good, thanks, so they were going from Dubai to the UK with the dried packet food? Yes, they've done it a couple of times now within a space of a few months. They bought something like 6 x 5 packets so a sizeable volume.

Wow again Di@DXB, you've answered most of my questions! Thank you. I must have driven past the Art House thousands of times but never realised it was there. Have you used the Art House's framing service? I have a couple of things that need re-framing and have been sent to Plant St.

Am looking for a new dentist who also specialises in Inman Aligner. Dr Gorton was recommended. Phoned Dr Roze & Associates and am told she has left. She is currently travelling. Does anyone know where she'll be moving to? Understand she was previously with Dr Michaels.

The Fuji X100S, Nikon Coolpix A, Leica X2 and Sigma DP3 are all compact cameras with a sensor size similar to an entry level DSLR. The Canon G1X is marginally smaller and the Sony RX1 is a full frame compact! So if you don't intend on making full use of all the manual features on a DSLR and/or don't intend on investing thousands on lenses then one of these may be an alternative option. Many professional photographers often keep one of these compacts in their bags as backup cameras in any case. Azaiba - As TimTam commented, can't go wrong with Canon or Nikon. A lot of my friends started with the Canon 450 to 650D series and all have been very happy. Most have stayed with that series for years without a need to upgrade. RuthM - very interested in your post. I have a Canon DSLR but looking at a compact back-up so will research your recommendations. Which one would you choose?
