I do not find anything funny about any of those things, [u'>[b'>and if you're as happy as you claim, I sure doubt this thread would have had the term "annoying" and "inconsiderate" as part of its heading.[/b'>[/u'> It's sad that people continue using "culture" as an excuse to so many bullish things. Anyhow, it's your marriage (and doubt you've been married long), so whatever rocks your boat... and of course every mother who ever said her child is annoying or did something annoying is also miserable and unhappy. no need to over-analyze everything dear, it's a light-hearted thread which 95% of us smiled at or laughed at. None of us are debating leaving our husbands because they annoyed us, i promise :)

Myself and DH want to go to New York from Dubai in November, our (as yet unborn) daughter will be 7 months old. Anyone made such a lengthy flight with such a small baby? Is it horrendous? We flew from the UK to the States, only 7 hours, with a 4 month old - it was fine, he slept for a lot of it..worst bit was the return trip when we both fell asleep and I woke up with a wet lap (wasn't me lol) !! Do they give you a bassinet or anything? I saw this once in economy on virgin atlantic, they give the front seats with plenty of legroom to parents and hang a bassinet on the wall for the baby which was fab. but ill be flying with etihad and in business class where the seats are great for one person but don't know how they'll be for me and the baby. and i've never seen bassinets either. Might call the airline and ask them. Doing a trip to UK in september so it'll be good practice, though only half the distance :( what about diaper changes? in those ridiculous small airplane bathrooms? They had a pull-down changing table - it was a challenge but not as bad as changing a baby on a British Rail train... lol..you get used to changing in the tiniest spaces... we had a bassinet which was ok except having to get baby in and out often for various things...then the seatbelt light was on for most of one of the flights due to turbulence so he ended up staying on my lap most of the time anyway... this is my first LO so i'm worrying like crazy about everything. plus my mom is saying the long flight/pressure won't be good for her :( but she changed her tune when i told her i'll cancel my trip home in that case :D

[b'>Those who don't like the post: why keep coming back to read it? :) it's just for fun, no need to get politically correct about every thing. And my husband is aware what i've wrote and gave me his blessing :) on the other hand, i ask him almost on a weekly basis if there is anything i could be/should be doing to make him happier and our marriage better to which he replies "no, you're perfect. you're the best wife i could have ever imagined and i hope you never change." [u'>then he goes and tells his friends being married sucks! he's afraid if he tells them how good it is and how happy he is they'll give him '3ayn' or evil eye and then our marriage will start to go sour[/u'> :D and i know he does this, and i don't mind. C'est la vie. And if you don't like it, get a life :p[/b'> Very sad that someone would actually believe this and actually find it "sweet", "loving" or whatever else they want to call it. To me, it is a clear indication that something is not right. I certainly never said i find it sweet or loving! that's part of his culture and i don't care. we have a fantastic marriage alhamdulillah :) sharing something stupid that he did doesn't make me want to re-assess my marriage. LOL. If every lady re-evaluated her marriage based on something stupid her husband did, i guess we'd all be divorced :D

First off: good luck! :) I can't give any advice personally, but there have been a lot of threads about this in the past. Perhaps give the EW search engine a try? It might throw up some good ideas for you. Will do! thanks a bunch

UPDATE: I always do all the laundry/ironing/etc. Last night i wasn't available to iron my husband's head dress so he had to do it himself. He's now mad at me because he burned it :) not because i wasn't available to do it, but "next time when you finish the ironing, turn down the heat on the iron :( i burned my sifrah :(" I said "why didn't you bl00dy check before you started!!!!" to which he replied "it's your fault, who irons with the iron on full heat!" Em, everyone ! :) LOOOOOL as i write this he's asking what i'm laughing at. you my darling :D

My husband recently bought me a Fitbit pedometer thing. For our anniversary. Three weeks after I had a baby. He gave it to me with the words 'now don't take this the wrong way'. The fool. Not surprisingly, I very much took it the wrong way. Is he now undergoing surgery to have it removed ?? LOOOOOL :D :D :D

Thanks all! Pinkbutterfly, it's a good thing you lost the plug though! Since reading about you losing yours i'm checking like a maniac every time i go to the bathroom hahahaha! I would take it as a sign of progress at least - i wish anything would happen for me now just so i know things are moving along. i feel like my bump has been the same size for the past 6 weeks also! no changes at all :( except more milk. i woke up a few nights ago to use the bathroom and got a fright when i felt the bed was wet :O was just milk :( anyone else having this issue? I've been having drops for the past 11 weeks but this past week or 2 it's quite heavy. needless to say i've stocked up on the breast pads :D my hubby isn't really the hands-on type when it comes to infants, forget feeds and diaper changes! it's his culture though, he said if i need any help he'll get me a maid but he's oh so manly to do things besides hold the baby! lol. I definitely don't want a maid though, and look forward to being hands on myself. The reason i plan to not use a bottle is because i won't be leaving the baby with anyone. I know this sounds awful but my own family are not here and i've seen my MIL and SIL with new borns and their way is very different to my way. I asked my husband if i left the baby with them and asked them NOT to do such and such would they listen and he said honestly, no, they will do what they feel is right. Many things really, like i personally hate swaddling babies, there are pros and cons i know but its my choice not to swaddle. My MIL swaddles babies so tight they look like they're in pain and then places a pillow on top of their legs so they can't move at all :s this to me is awful. plus they don't believe in picking up crying babies, unless they're sure it's time for a feed or change. I couldn't bear to be out knowing my baby might be crying and they would just leave her lying there :( i make my in laws sound awful i know - they're so kind honestly but i wouldn't like to leave my baby with them. LOL sorry for all that ranting! :) Lyndy, thanks so much for the offer. *hugs* have u ever tried expressing with your hand? does it take forever? my SIL told me to buy a double electric pump but my mother is kind of old fashioned and reminds me daily how she used to work 2 jobs, pump milk by hand, hitch-hike to work at 8 and half months pregnant etc :) lol so she insists pumping by hand is just as good. i don't know really, this is the first baby so i have no experience. I didn't know they will ask me to express in hospital :( just wondering - did your cup size go up during pregnancy or after your milk came in? my size is the same since before i was pregnant :s thought i'd have huge boobs by now but i dont :( Honestly im pretty comfortable considering how far along i am. My pregnancy has been really great thank God. Never vomited since day 1, no back pain, no stretch marks until now (fingers crossed). the swelling is gone down a little. My MIL is insisting i drink things to bring on the labour (i have refused until now) and i thought "why should i? she'll come when she's ready! it's not like im overdue or something". I've accepted that i have 12 days left and may go over and that's ok i guess, as long as the little one is healthy :)

Pinkbutterfly : Don't despair! I feel like i'll probably go past my due date because i haven't felt any different at all! I've not had any braxton hicks until now, no period like pains, nothing :( Wishing you all the best inshAllah! <3 All Ladies: can i ask your advice? i haven't bought a breast pump. I don't see the need as i plan on feeding without expressing the milk, im a full time SAHM (to be :D) . My sis in law is telling me i'll have to buy one but my mom said they're a waste of money and she used to express by hand when needed. Can anyone guide me on this? I really don't wanna give a bottle at all if i can help it. But my sis in law is telling me i'll have too much milk (she thinks this because i've been leaking since im 6 months pregnant and to her that means i have too much milk :) ) lol

Mrs Abdalla, just wanted to share a couple of things that work for me, maybe you try them out, even if no positive result, it will not hurt! Me, i often find my belly square especially in middle of night when up for pee (which makes sense as too much laying down passively not so nice for baby correct positioning)- and i don't like this square belly, as it hints baby turned or trying to, and not the way i want him to be!! :) then i am doing pelvic tilts that was taught at prenatal yoga, on your fours you inhale with head up- don't arch back, keep it neutral., exhale with arched up back, a cat like pose - with head going down. I am sure there will be better descriptions of pelvic tilts if you google it :) If i am not up to tilts, lazy or sleepy, just standing on all fours swaying a bit gives space to baby to relocate and makes the belly nice and round again :) Another thing i do for ribs when it gets really uncomfortable- baby feet playing there or just no space for a good deep breath, you stand in the door opening your arms 90 degrees bent and at your shoulders level, you basically hang forward in this opening a bit, both lifting your ribs up and opening chest, all with the help of your body weight and gravity. But that is a "lonely" option, if you have someone around who can be your partner - it is much nicer just sit on the floor comfortably leg crossed arms up and bent and fingers locked behind your head, have your partner stand behind you and push you by the elbows upwards and backwards same time with his knee between your shoulder blades helping you open up. I hope it is descriptive enough - really simple things but make big difference in how you feel.. Good luck ! Thanks so much for the tips! I was so positive and loving the pregnancy until this final 4 weeks, i just feel miserable and lazy and awkward and im absolutely DYING to see my daughter's face. i know we're all in the same boat though! and like i said i was doing great and taking it easy but now, i feel the past 2 weeks have dragged and can't imagine how long the next 2 will be. it makes it worse that my hubby tries to help but he seems very uncomfortable and awkward about my pregnancy LOL you would think he was 16 or 17, far from it, i can see in his eyes he looks at my belly like it's an alien sometimes and he never knows what to do or say. poor thing :) it's funny really. Today i told him in floods of tears "just hug me and tell me im beautiful" and he started laughing calling me skinny girl hahahaha. i feel very emotional all of a sudden :s

MrsAbdalla - Sorry this is TMI. I went to pee, as I was wiping myself down there I looked at the tissue and there was blood! So I had to inspect as I was panicking! It's like mucus from the nose but tinged with fresh blood. I called my dr right away, she said it's my plug and I shouldn't worry because it's normal but I shouldn't get too excited either unless I was having contractions. Which I had last night then stopped around 3am. Ugh! I know what you mean by swollen feet and hands! Omg. I can't even bear to look at myself in the mirror sometimes from all the swelling. But my MIL said, swelling means labor is coming soon. So let's look at the bright side. Drink plenty of water, as ironic as it may sound it helps with fluid retention! Take it easy and let's all just pray that everything will happen at the right time. :) I'm sorry about your knees, try swimming it's good exercise without putting pressure on your knees. I'm actually off now for a swim hehe! Talk to you ladies later, hopefully with good news. Ta xxx No not TMI! I really appreciate it! i'm so nervous i'll miss it when it comes. I know it doesnt mean you're in labour but it's a good sign so i'll be happy to see it (if i do!) when it comes. I have another 2 weeks to go but i really can't imagine i'll last that long, I don't know why! lol. Or maybe im just hoping :p Enjoy your swim and thanks so much for the info xxx

False alarm, last night I lost my mucus plug.. Had a few contractions and back pain then stopped around 3am. My dr said labor could start anytime soon to a WEEK. Well at least I know something is going on down there. :D Alenka - Ohh same here, I remember reading your due date but too lazy to scroll down. So we're both guilty for that haha. It won't be long for us, then we'll be like the other ladies. Too busy to check the forums! :) I know what you mean by the big feet right under the ribs, ohhh boys are so naughty!!! It's good that you're keeping yourself busy by shopping bit by bit. I got everything already, so nothing left to do sigh. I walk around RAK mall during the afternoon, then at night I walk with DH around the neighborhood to the community pool, playground back and forth. So it's good light exercise for both of us. You know what, I packed the same bag!!! Haha. I have my small luggage which I usually take with me as hand carry when I go for vacation. I feel better knowing that I have everything. Good luck to you too, hopefully your LO will decide to come out when your DH is back. xx MrsAbdalla - Ohhh yea! You're having a little girl too. Congrats! I'm sure you're very excited. Congrats. I was honestly wishing for a little girl :D all those cute pink dresses and hair clips/bands. Ooohhh!!! There's always a next time, inshAllah next pregnancy. "Try and try until you succeed" :) Good luck to everyone still waiting. Wishing we will all have an easy and fast delivery :D xxx Oh PinkButterfly you're so lucky! I'm checking everyday hoping something will start down below but until now nothing, and i started to feel so terrible i just want it all to be over :( think i have a cracked rib, im in total agony but apparently no one can or will do anything for that. My stomach started to look and feel more square and less round (dont know why!), my hands and feet are sooooo swollen i can't bear to look at them and my knees are hurting from all the extra weight i guess :( I also have a small carry-on size suitcase packed, along with the diaper bag. I want to ask about losing your mucus plug - how did you know? Since i entered the 3rd trimester i can't bear to wear underwear (up or down!) and my SIL told me it's a bad idea because ill be none the wise if anything comes out :( but it's so uncomfortable because im unbelievably hot all the time and everything irritates me! lol. Best of luck with your (imminent) delivery inshAllah!

my MIL is just fantastic, and i adore her. But now my due date is fast approaching for the birth of my first child, i feel things are getting tricky. We are from different countries, continents, cultures - and my MIL gives the impression that only people here know how to raise kids and birth babies. She has been 'offering' lots of advice which i find to be completely absurd and ridiculous, and rather than saying NO to her face, i just smile and say inshAllah. But she doesn't seem to be taking the hint :s When i first found out i was pregnant, she told me to drink fresh UNPASTEURIZED cows milk to make the baby strong, when i checked all the medical/pregnancy/baby websites ALL of them said this causes miscarriages. When i told her, she said "RUBBISH! All the bedouins here do it and we have fine strong healthy babies." My husband doesn't like to get in the middle and asked me if i would be willing to compromise on certain things but why should i? She had all her kids, raised them as she wanted, this is my baby and ill raise her as i want also. Especially when the advice i'm being offered is not only junk but dangerous! We've never had unkind words or any arguments or falling outs, but i don't know what will happen when the baby is born. Bear in mind we all live together! i try to be as respectful as i can, i've never refused anything, just say inshAllah and hope she'll take the hint. So we'll see :) BUT apart from all that, she's just fantastic. Always takes my side against anything or anyone else, makes all the food i love, sends her maid to help me if she thought i looked tired, always buys me gifts, gold, clothes, etc. We get on famously! Just dreading the birth and how it will be afterwards! Prayers please :)

I went yesterday to Patchi and they sold these little money boxes for 55 dirham, they would wrap them in a plastic box and add 2 chocolates for 14 dirham extra so that was almost 70 dirham per piece, and we needed at least 30. That was crazy! over 2000 dirham. Went today to Daiso Arabian Centre, bought little money boxes of a pink bear beside a post box for 7 aed each, and plastic lidded boxes with hearts to put them in, also 7aed each, and went to Chocolala and bought 2 kg of chocolate. Total spent, 600 dirham and honestly what i bought is way nicer and more unique.

Has it replaced your iron? What brand is it? Thinking of buying one. Share your experiences please Thanks i have a princess steamer, gold colour, paid 600AED for it in carrefour. it's fantastic for doing abayas and sheylas but it could never replace my iron for stronger/heavier fabrics. great for light things, silks, etc. I love it though and wouldn't be without it but you definitely still need a good iron.

We have the same seat and it fits the same in our cars. Our installation was checked in the States by a certified car safety technician and she said it was installed incorrectly. It is completely safe for the base to extend beyond the front edge of the seat. Your major safety concern should be that when installed the base cannot shift left to right and has a tight fit. Put your knee on the base as you tighten the strap for the isofix anchors. If you have a good, tight fit and no movement, stretching out beyond the front of the seat is no problem. Just be sure that the front of the seat has a bit of clearance from the back of the front car seat as this seat isn't supposed to be forceably braced against the front car seats. Thanks very much Meagle. I was so worried! I'll go now to check the tightness and let hubby make any adjustments. Really appreciate it xxx

I'll be giving birth at the Garhoud Private Hospital Im due on 27th and also going to deliver in Al Garhoud :) i chose them for the fantastic reviews i read about them, i had original planned on NMC but after my visit to Garhoud i can't imagine going anywhere else. I second SkyExpress - used them last week to pick up my medication which I had left at my sons villa in Abu Dhabi and deliver to me in Dubai - excellent service 40Dhs. I might try these then. I used Aramex yesterday and it cost aed 150. Thought that was a bit steep! As far as i remember last year in our company they used to charge 12/15 dirham for delivery in dubai! They were fantastic really. never had any problems with them. The rate might depend on how many shipments you send per month but it's still wayyyyy cheaper than all the others

Hi ladies, today DH installed our car seat into my FJ Cruiser. however, the FJ back seats are not huge and the base of the car seat actually comes out past the seat a little bit. I went over the manual but it doesn't say anything about it. I feel it's not safe at all, it just doesn't look right to me. Can anyone advise about this? The car seat is Graco SnugRide 30.

Same here, can't stand bras when I'm pregnant or breastfeeding. Like kiwispiers I wore vest tops with built in support. There are loads of different ones and Marks and Spencers. Many styles have the added bonus of extra thickness or padding in the bust area so you can sometimes get away with not wearing breast pads. They are supportive enough for me but I've got small boobs, not sure if they would be enough if bigger up top. Thanks Daza, will definitely check out Marks then :)

Yes I was exactly the same for my first pregnancy, could not stand the pressure of a bra strap on my rib cage so didn't wear a bra for months. I didn't leak milkl fortunately and just used to wear singlets with built in shelves or just tight singlets. I also had terrible reflux which was completely gone the second my baby popped put, quite a relief! Ya im having the reflux as well :( gaviscon is my new best friend :) so all of this will be gone immediately after delivery? I was worried it might take a while! Thank God for that!

Only a month to go inshAllah :) i can't wait. Anyone else feel like they've been pregnant for 3 years? I've had the most amazing pregnancy alhamdulillah, the first 8 months were bliss, no morning sickness, no anything really. Now i've entered the final month my feet and ankles, wrists and hands have ballooned, i started waddling, i feel like a ***, sick of the smell of my own milk leaking everywhere (bought breast pads but can't use them as i haven't been able to wear a bra for a month now, it's agony pressing on my uterus, even the non-wired ones :( ) I'm sick of everyone offering (crappy) advice, i.e. my in laws telling me to drink Castor Oil to bring on the labour and make the baby "come out quickly" though i've read castor oil gives you diarrhoea and nothing more :) HELP. I wanna see my baby already :( it's actually pretty amazing how much i dream of her, maybe 3 times a week i see her in my dreams. First pregnancy so i'm a bit........you know :D

Ladies, if any of you have been pregnant back home, do the doctors there normally prescribe ALL these vitamins without first confirming if you need them or not via blood/urine test? My mother said back home they will only ever give you folic acid and if you have deficiency in any vitamin after checking blood/urine they will prescribe for the same. But here i was given everything even though my blood/urine tests showed everything was fine, i had plenty of everything! also my mom said Duphaston is only given to ladies who have a history of miscarriage back home. I was wondering why i was prescribed it in my first pregnancy? I feel they are happy to dish out pills here whether you need them or not :/

So sorry to hear about your losses. Im 35 weeks pregnant with my first and because it's my first I worried so much throughout the entire pregnancy and only feel ok now that I know my baby would probably be ok if i had her now. Honestly i remember having menstrual-like cramps through the whole first trimester and even in the second sometimes. I used to panic thinking i was miscarrying for sure but i didn't thank God. I can't say what's normal and what's not as it's my first pregnancy but i definitely got plenty of cramping in my 2nd trimester, so i hope that helps. But as you've already suffered 2 losses i would be extremely cautious and keeping a watchful eye. I do hope everything will be ok for you :(

I had my first scan at 4 weeks pregnant, it was a tummy scan and there was absolutely nothing to be seen except the amniotic sac which confirmed the pregnancy. Next time a couple of weeks later there was a tiny dot, now at 35 weeks they show me her hair and fingernails and it's so miraculous when you think back to the first when there was nothing :') never had a scan done vaginally even though i had some issues along the way and thought they would but they didn't. HTH xxx

A couple of months back when I was returning from my home country, I tried to get an egate card and I was being told by the guy that I cant get an egate card because my name is "similar" to someone in the black-list. I was being told to go through the loooong immigration line....and I had no problem at the immigration. Today I thought I'll try to get it through Dnata and they said the same thing :( she said I can never get an egate. This is so frustrating! They know the one in the blacklist is not me....my only fault is that my name is similar to that person. Has anyone been in a similar situation? edited by smileys on 17/03/2013 My husband has the same problem! And he's local! They told him his name is too common and if they do issue him an egate card he has to inform the airport 3 days before travelling so they can be aware! It's totally ridiculous!

I always clean mine twice, first with Jif spray then when domestos bleach and a sponge. I feel the domestos kills the shine a bit but does get it extremely white. I also felt that no matter how hard i scrubbed it never came up white anymore so the domestos does the trick for me! They sell a product called Cillit Bang back home which was fantastic but they dont sell it here :(

I had my first baby scheduled c-section with combined epidural spinal block. It did not really hurt getting the epidural and I had no pain afterwards apart from where the tape holding the catheter was. It really stuck to my skin and when they removed it it left me with a rash :( Its very unlikely you would have complication from the epidural itself. There is a chance of paralysis but it is minute. The most common "side effect" is called an epidural headache. This happens when they push the needle in sightly too far and it goes beneath the spinal dura. The result is an incredibly severe headache for around 24 hours. They treat this with a "blood patch" where they inject some of your own blood into your spine. The headache is reasonably common, I think around 10% of epidurals, possibly more or less depending on the anaesthetists skill. You can also get an all over itc The real reason to not get an epidural is that it increases your chances of ending up with a failed labour. Getting an epidural too early on can slow down or even halt your contractions. Once you have an epidural you are stuck in bed. You can't get up to wee so you have a urinary catheter, increasing your chances of developing a urinary infection and needing antibiotics post birth. You can''t really change position, which means you can't really help if the baby is a bit stuck. You can't push very effectively (or at all depending on the strength of the epidural) so you are more likely to need an assisted birth, i.e ventouse (the plunger :) ) or forceps. These can slightly injure your babies head and will pretty much guarantee you will have a wide episiotomy. These are all reasons why you might want to try an avoid an epidural. There is of course an obvious reason why you might decide you want an epidural, childbirth generally involves a level of pain. There is no point in listening to other women's stories about needing or not needing an epidural. The birth process is very different for each woman and each baby. A big baby will not necessarily be a difficult birth and a small baby will not necessarily be easy. I gave birth last year to my second baby. I did not want another c-section (although I will say that my first c-section was not nearly as bad as I had thought it would be, certainly less intensely painful than giving birth naturally, but the recovery time was uncomfortable and it was annoying to not be able to lift things). I wanted to avoid an epidural for all the reasons I mentioned above, but I kept an open mind and decided I would see how I felt at the time. When my contraction started at 6am they were not very painful, really just like menstrual cramps and I was able to go out and about for the whole day (take my toddler to softplay, do a supermarket shop etc). Basically I kept moving and kept busy until they started to become quite sore and went to the hospital at around 8pm, by that stage I found it difficult to talk during a contraction but it was not excruciating and when I was examined I was already 7cm. Some women are in a lot of pain and having harder contractions at only 3cm. Because I was so far along already and not really in that much pain I decided not to have the epidural. I was not really in much pain until I was around 9cm, by that stage it wouldn't have been worth having an epidural as by the time they put it in and it took effect my baby would already have been born. I did like being able to move, change position and walk though. I did not have an episiotomy but I did tear naturally, I did not feel that really, only a slight burning feeling and I imagine had they given me an episiotomy at that point I wouldn't have felt that either. I won't lie, I had about 45 minutes of fairly intense pain at the end of my labour however my labour was fast, I only pushed for a few minutes at the end and my baby was never in distress, it was do-able. I was given a local anaesthetic for my stitches afterwards and I healed quickly, faster than if I'd had an episiotomy (according to my obgyn) in my instance I am glad I didn't take the epidural however mine was technically a very easy labour (in hospital around 9pm, baby out just after midnight). The only thing I would change is that my doctor did break my waters at 9cm, in retrospect I think she was trying to hurry things up so she could go to bed herself, I was in a lot more pain after that and I wonder if it would have been easier if she hadn't. Some women have much longer labours, or much more painful contractions and I can totally see why they have an epidural, I think just go in with an open mind and try and follow your bodies cues, if you feel like moving, move, if you feel like sitting, or squatting, or kneeling then do that. If you are in too much pain then ask for an epidural, but first try heat compresses, moving around, a hot shower and the gas & air, they might be enough. Just let it be YOUR experience and don't put yourself under any pressure with the idea that there is a "right" way to do it, so long as you understand the risks and benefits to any intervention offered to you then you won't feel mislead or disappointed afterwards. Likewise be mentally prepared for a c-section, you have around a 30% chance of ending up with one so its better that you have a plan in place for that eventuality. Its hard not to stress about the birth towards the end of your pregnancy but ultimately its one day of your life and you will get through it. Your answer is amazing! It's actually made me re-consider wanting one! I didn't realise all those additional complications it can bring. I want to do what's best for baby but i'm such a wimp, i imagine labour to be like in the movies, you know how it is, endless screaming and stuff and i just get so nervous, but then certain women in my life are making me feel guilty for wanting it. I guess you're totally right, i'll go in with an open mind and try my best. I just always thought you have to get it the second your labour starts or u can't have it at all and that worried me a lot. Thanks again so much for your well informed and practical answer. I really needed to hear it laid out like that *hugs*

I just delivered in Dec 2012. Thank advanced science for the miracle of epidural. I did feel a little uncomfortable a few minutes after it was administered to me...my one leg felt number than the other and it bothered me to no end.....but an hour later, I was fine. I was reading "The Life Of Pi" and whatsapping away with friends till about half an hour before my baby arrived. Thanks to the epidural, I did not even realize the pain of the episiotomy that I had. Thankfully, there have been no side effects as well (so far). I would vouch for it. Good Luck!!! Wow :) Sounds ideal to me! Thanks so much for the reply <3
