Of course it matters. If you are trying to borrow money for a loan and have a high DBR then the chances are, you will fail to repay your loan

They are really awful. In the U.K. They work for you as well as the company, in Dubai they just don't seem to care or try. I'm moving out in a April, starting with the Dubai office of my company and have to recruit, god knows how I'm going to manage it! I'm looking for a new job ;-) Maybe I am suitable for something

Britt delivered both of my kids. She is incredible. She is slightly standoffish to begin with but once you get to know her, she is kind, thoughtful, caring and amazing at her job. She saved my son's life. He turned at the last minute and had the cord around his neck, not only did she keep me calm during the birth, but she got him out safely with little fuss and no panic. She was a real pro, and then, once they whisked my very blue boy to get him on oxygen, she stayed with me and explained everything that happened, and what they were doing to my boy so I knew what to expect once I was up and moving and able to get to his ward.

Hi ladies, I have a fabulous lady to recommend as a maid. We lived in Dubai two years ago (now in Singapore) and our wonderful helper Julie left temporarily at the same time as us. She is now back in Dubai and looking for a role. I can't recommend Julie highly enough - she is hard-working, honest, resourceful, positive and a great person to have as part of your household. I work full time, with a husband who travels and we have two young daughters - Julie helped run our home with great efficiency and good humour. She is a good cook and an excellent cleaner who can multi task. For me above all, she was wonderful with our children and extremely reliable. Prior to this she worked for another European family. You can contact Julie on . Please feel free to message me if you need further information. I would love her details please....just dont know how to get them from you lol Could you post in the classifieds?

I transferred yesterday and got 4.84 to the £. I am going to transfer more this week, I am watching the markets like a hawk! I mad a LOT of money back in 2008/2009 when I transferred money to the UAE as we were looking to buy a property. I got about 7.35 back then. Soon after, things started turning and in March 2009 I sent the money back and the rate was 5.1 or 5.2 something!

Hello ladies, I have a pack of balloons that I specially ordered online for a baby shower that I'm throwing and would like to get them filled with helium. However, they're about 40 balloons and I was wondering if anyone knows where and if I can rent a helium tank for cheap? I know I can take them to party zone and get them blown for 5-6 dhs a piece, but is there anywhere cheaper anyone knows of ?thank you in advance! Balloon.ae charge 4 per balloon I believe

Hi, We have just found out we are expecting our 1st child and I have an appointment to see Dr Britt Clausson at City Hospital in a few weeks. Is anyone else seeing her? As I say this is our 1st, can anyone tell me what to expect at the first appointment? Thank you She delivered both of my kids, and neither baby was straight forward. She was amazing, especially in a crisis She is a little "cold" at first but once you get to know her a bit she is kind, warm and funny. She is extremely knowledge and I would not hesitate to recommend her. She even let me text in the middle of the night with things if I needed her (I was in active labour for 3 days with my first)

I believe (and I could be wrong) that nurseries can only take kids from 4 months due to the vaccinations they need to have first to be among all the other kids

My almost 3 year old would like her ears pierced. I was talking to one of the staff at my kid's nursery and they do not allow kids with earrings in at nursery. They said they have had so many cases of little ones ripping the earrings out, earrings poking them behind the ear, losing earrings and parents accusing staff of stealing them.....they just say no. I have my ears pierced and my mum gave me the choice when I was old enough to decide. I was about 9 I think. I decided I would wait until my daughter is sensible enough to ask me to have them done (or not if she changes her mind later on) FYI - my holes (I had 4 when I was younger) are still visible even thought I cant get anything in them. Just saying

you think thats bad - I bought the kids 2016 in November (they had a promotion that if you buy 2016 book you get the 2015 free) and I looked to use something yesterday and it said I didnt have the book. My purchase history says I bought 2015 (which I had already bought in Jan 2015) so Apparently, I bought 2 for 2015 even though I know I didnt and the promotion was giving 2015 free at the time of buying 2016!

Depends totally on how you were asked to leave. Do you have something in writing stating that you have to leave? I would knock on the door of the old place, explain to them what happened and ask for a copy of their Ejari. That is all you need - proof he told you that you had to leave as he was selling or family was moving in, and the Ejari proves he let it straight back out again

I don't know the Ranches well at all but my concern would be about my child. What if you needed to go to the hospital urgently (I dont know where the nearest one is) How would you get there? I got a car as soon as I had a child. I never needed one before as I could get taxis wherever I needed to go

Easiest thing to do - get married. You dont have to tell anyone, just a piece of paper and when you are ready for a wedding etc (if thats what you want) then you can do it properly and nobody would ever know. Just makes your lives in Dubai much less complicated and risky.

I dont know where you have been getting the price for an email (maybe overseas but it is certainly not $1000 to send an email. Lawyers charge per hour and even the best lawyers in the field wont charge that per hour. If the issue is in the UAE - just go to the police, they will help you open a case and direct you from there

Sorry if I upset someone,I had no idea my simple question of whether it is more frequent here than anywhere else due to the weather conditions might upset people. Before coming here we had tests done and both my husband and I are fertile, but we started trying only here in Dubai and it doesn't seem to be working. Sorry again, will not post here anymore. You didnt conceive before coming here so not sure why you would think it was Dubai stopping you..... sometimes these things just take time. Sometimes it is down to diet and health, or stress, or a number of things. Sometimes people just cannot conceive together but can with other people. Just be patient, make sure you are both healthy and relax

Hmmm I pay 100 for a cut. I dont ask for it blow dried but they do that anyway. I have long hair too which is normally more expensive. The cut is nice and I am happy with it. Before there, I would go to Hair works and paid 200 for a cut and dry. My mum has a British lady who comes to the house and charges 150. I am seeing her myself tonight so don't know how good she is but my mums hair always looks nice. Im not sure why you all think hair cuts are so expensive here, maybe I just find good cuts in cheaper salons somehow

So, so sad for the children loosing their lives. It is always the innocent who loose out in the end. The crisis in the European Countries is a difficult situation to solve. Sadly, I don't believe that all of those people are true refugees. I feel that some are opportunists using the situation to try to get a better life or better place to live, they are increasing the numbers and making it worse for the refugees to get the help they need. And whats wrong with people trying to get a better place to live or life? Isn't that what we are all trying to do really? Of course we all are, but we are not literally depriving people with NOTHING of a chance by doing so

I feel that some are opportunists using the situation to try to get a better life or better place to live, they are increasing the numbers and making it worse for the refugees to get the help they need. I don't know your situation but I know that I am in no position to judge anyone. Today I am very grateful that my family is together and safe. That we have a home with cupboards full of food. That my children are happy, enjoying their childhood and receiving a good education. How can I ever be in a position to judge when someone else's life moves from difficult to intolerable? I can't imagine the dangerous journeys and the uncertainty being faced by so many are taken lightly. This video is hard to watch but worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBQ-IoHfimQ&feature=youtu.be I dont think Chrissy is judging - I think her point is valid. There is a different between refugees and migrants. Some people truly need help and saving from certain death. Some people do not, they just want better.

If someone transfers over from the UK (for example) at our request then we pay flights and schooling for the whole family because otherwise, there is no reason for that person to come over, they will just be in a far worse position financially than if they just stayed in the UK If we fly a single person over, then of course, they don't need the schooling and extra flights as they will be in the same financial position as they left the UK

Try and get a job before coming. You cant get a home without a Visa, you cant really open a bank account without a visa, you cant buy a car without a visa and, unless you have a fair bit of money behind you and a strong chance of getting a job, it can be slow. Oh and dont even think about coming without health insurance

Hi Zoey Jane Congratulations! As its come up, I thought I'd mention that you absolutely don't need a blood test to confirm your pregnancy. False positives are extremely rare in home pregnancy tests so that is all the confirmation you need. Unless you have complications a blood test is totally unnecessary (but chargeable and therefore popular with doctors....). Correct, however a home test will not tell how approximately how far gone you are

We are not registered but we (friends and I ) support a school in India which have 200 kids, some orphans but all live there as their parents cant afford them. I am assuming you have already seen a Dr who has given you a blood test to confirm that you are 4 weeks pregnant (or you wouldn't know you are 4 weeks pregnant) so they should have given you a prescription for folic acid and for pregnacare so you can claim them back on the insurance. if they did not advice this, go see another Dr. If it makes no difference as you do not have insurance to cover these costs then go and buy them and take immediately Congratulations and don't panic - there is no reason to see a specialist until, like the others have said, there is a reason. There is no heartbeat or anything yet and nothing to see. I know the frustration, I knew I was pregnant the week I fell pregnant on holiday, had to wait 2 weeks for the blood test to confirm that I was around 3 weeks pregnant then waited over a month to check the heartbeat!

Bubble babies was a waste of time IMO for my then 2 year old. I wanted her to learn to swim and they taught her nothing in 6 weeks other than how to hold the side of the pool and go round it. Thats it. They also demanded a specific style of swim wear which was hard to find and costly but we bought and paid for and then nobody else was wearing it in the class. I was furious

one month all in one go and at the time of our convenience (not that there is a good time but we all settle on December as our helper gets to share a special time with her family and we cna arrange the kids ok in December) You book her holiday when it suits you, not the other way around (unless of course there is a very special reason she would like to go at a certain time )
