Harrington Gardens - very posh! Not sure which zoo you've heard about? When I was younger we used to go to Chessington Zoo alot, it was great but then that was over 25 years ago! It's still open so have a look at their website to see if is somewhere you would fancy Sorry I haven't been to Peppa P*g park so no idea if it's worth the journey Oh wow thanks I had no idea :)) Tks a million Sabrina!

London is nice in september. You get some warm-ish days and you get some rainy days. But like GE said don't let it stop you. Get a good sturdy umbrella and enjoy the rain I say. It's a place you're going to for the first time so as you would just be careful with your things, don't leave anything lying around on tables in restaurants etc I say that because here people tend to do that in London I think you should be more careful. Otherwise its pretty safe. Like anywhere else in the world have some common sense and be vigilant. Try and use both bus and underground if you can. They're both part of the london experience. Just to let you know though most underground stations dont have easy access for strollers/wheelchairs etc all the way through the station, I don't know if your DD is still in a stroller but anyway people are generally nice and will help if they see you standing there or trying to go up/down. Taxis are expensive in general I would say about 3 times more than here. That's very approximate. My 45min trip from the airport to home in a black cab costs about 360dhs. Here that would be what, dhs100? Im not sure but it ia more expensive. Shops close at about 8pm or 9pm, later on the weekends maybe till 10pm or 11pm. It depends where you are, which shop/supermarket etc. Some little grocery stores are open 24h. HTH Thank u :)

I would like to update anyone searching for apartments in JLT. I have lived in Goldcrest Views 2 since February. Since moving in I have had maintenance constantly in and out of the apartment as the A/C is disgusting. Bad smells in our daughters room and the apartment. The tower A/C is useless. You can put the A/C on the coolest setting possible, which believe me isn't cold and even if you have it on all day it still isnt cold enough. All the while your bills to Palm District Cooling just keep going up and up. The tower is lovely, the pool is lovely, the lobby is very nice and good security. But the A/C lets the whole tower down. Please please take my advice. Go elsewhere and save money. A/C is a must in this country. It might seem like a bargain but you'll be paying for it. edited by debbieiw on 01/09/2014 I know! I lived there for a year and suffered They can't fix it so dnt bother If u can't stand it like I did move out There's a problem with the design of the building and they have no solution, Tht was told to me by a top mgt individual after I called the police cos it was extremely hot and I had a baby infant. Which floor r u? It's not in all floors though

Hi mrssak, It is meant to be less painful as it doesn't pull at the skin, only the hair. Great for sensitive areas like underarms etc. It also means hair can be shorted then when you use normal hot wax. I'm not a beautician so have very limited knowledge, but for me personally it's my preferred type of wax :)It's worth googling it as it is a bit hard to explain what it looks like when it goes on and when it's removed. Thank u meggsy :) I usually do my nails at sisters at moe so I'll def check it out next time.

It depends on their nationality and experience. Most of my friends have Filipino first timers so they pay them the min wage 1500 (live in and excluding Food and toiletries). I've heard of 2000 and 3000 but they must provide references and have experience.

We went to Bandos resort with our 3 year old last year and i would thoroughly recommend it. That resort is very easily accessible, mainstream enough to have all the facilities you want and not too expensive. I'm interested to hear if anyone has resorts in Bali that they recommend for our next holiday! Kupa kupa barong and Laguna resort Both r excellent

Also we have 2 LO, is Alexandria good for It's very rainy and windy in Alexandria during December. I Wudnt advise visiting during dec or jan or February. Sharm el sheikh wud b much better, lovely weather and lots of activities for children Check out hurghada too esp elgouna..it's lovely How abt Luxor and Aswan? But might me a bit boring for the children Cairo is now much safer but sharm wud b much Safer.

Hi I posted this before but my thread has disappeared - sorry to renew this query. I am moving to Dubai in a couple of weeks and won't have a car to start with. Can you recommend a reliable taxi company that can help me with school rounds/pick up/ supermarket trips until I buy a car and start driving? Also wanted to get a couple of hours of driving lessons as I am not the most confident of drivers and the road system and the way people drive scare me a bit. Can someone recommend a good driving school who could pick me up and assist? Many thanks for your help K Careem

Rainforest Cafe is dire. The food is overpriced and tasteless. The music is so loud you cannot hear yourself think. Can you go to the Aquarium and then lunch at Cheescake Factory? I have't eaten at Cheescake Factory but DH said it is good. Cheese cake has excellent food but it Wudnt be fun for the children.

Dear Red, how much does your husband earn? I have an offer on 40 000 AED per year and I'm not sure if that would be enough, it seems like a lot of money but when you put it like this... I'd have to pay for schooling and rent by myself as well. Wht abt medical insurance? Airline tickets? We live on half of tht and we have one child but we r struggling (no school fees yet) I think it's too low as Uve mentioned u have 3 kids and have to pay for their schooling It wud b okay if u get a job and mayb live in Ajman
