Good Luck! I would say that you should call them beforehand a discuss "feedback" it could make your experience better? yeah that's exactly what i would do in 3o mins or something but i don't think it will make any difference... but it will just give me the satisfaction of giving them a hard time in advance :) but thanks for preparing me for the experience coz the last thing i wld have wanted is disappointment...

hahahahahahhaha they refused to cancel them since they r over 7 days of purchase :) seems am going anyhow... wish me luck :D Seriously? I've cancelled vouchers before that have been bought more than seven days ago. If the product is fault, there is false information, or you are just not happy with it, they refund it. I would like to see them try come back to me and say they won't cancel the voucher. i was just over the fone with them... and they just said no... but maybe i'll call rock bottom and give them a hard time :)

Lulu, Geant, Carrefour, Co-op or even Dubizzle...;) thnx roysie, i went to carrefour but they had huge ones very large in size and 1500 DHS minimum. i'll check LuLu for sure... but what's geant and co-op? where i can find them? am new to dubai as u c :) thnx :) Geant is the supermarket at Ibn Battuta Mall (Jebel Ali end of town) and the Co-op is in Al Barsha near Lulu (instead if turning right at lights to go the Lulu you need to carry on at lights and turn left at next lights, just down on the right :) thnxxxxxxxxxxx :D i hope i can find something suitable...

Thnx everybody for their replies. My sister actually ended up going with somebody who ended up going to Oman everyday just to take people for visas. I t was easy and he picked her up along with a few others for 200 dhm. If you a re a group it actaully gets cheaper, but she went alone, so thats why its 200. If you have a family it probably is chea[er to take a cab or rent a car. I went with my husband and kids and we had no issues....it actually is a really simple process. *Munnus-thanks for offering!! really? i'm paying 500 DHS coz am alone, can u give me the contact for that guy urgently plz plz coz am going tonight actually :D thnx a lottttttttt

do u mean that that even for free parking i got to pay??? not for the designated one??? this is for sure?? OMG abt the breaking the contract one yes, it clearly states that i just give him a 2 months notice. but i wonder how can the notice be considered official.... I dont know how is the parking in your cluster but in cluster S (Green Lakes) we have been informed that the dmcc (JLT Freezone) will implement a parking system soon. Nobody knows when but we filled in application forms, incl. Plate number etc to get our reserved parking (our landlord is owning a parking space) and if we requiring a second parking it will costs as 5000 AED per year. So in case that there is no free parking areas around your tower you might be charges for parking if you want to use the parking of the tower. Clarify with your landlord or management company to whom you can send your notice. We forced our LL to give us his PO to avoid any kind of problems in the future. thnx Gege, we will be in cluster D thank u so much for ur support and looking forward to run into u sometimes when i move to JLT :)

mmm... i have his passport copy, but mobile phone number no coz he's hiring a managing company who will sign the contract and he's in the usa. i will get their contacts tomorrow when i sign the contract, but shall i include it in the contract? also a 2 yrs renewal is for my benefit, if i wanna go i will simply notify him [quote'> Are you sure that you can just notify him? RERA Law is not really clear in that point, so it must be very clearly mentioned in the contract that you are allowed to break the lease very easy. Keep in mind the things are happending with other tentants at the moment: Service Charges aren't paid = tenant cant use facilities, JLT will implement the new parking system, you will be charges xxx amount to get access to parking, Palm Cooling Charges will be increased as its happend in Park Island etc. I dont want to negativ but a closed friend is working in real estate and he advice me to sign max 1 years lease with a 1 month penalty to break the lease with a 2 month notice. do u mean that that even for free parking i got to pay??? not for the designated one??? this is for sure?? OMG abt the breaking the contract one yes, it clearly states that i just give him a 2 months notice. but i wonder how can the notice be considered official.... am very worried abt the "Failed to sign issue" to be frank with... may god be with us in this dilemma,.. thanks gege so much for ur support...

hello there :) sorry for intruding but can u plzzz help me with my questions??? my contract states automatic renewal for 2 years, but if i FAILED to sign the new contract i'd be fined for 2 months rental... i feel this is fishy... what do u think??? can they buy time and then fine me with 2 months?? also, do i need to state the agent or the LL's notification address in the contract?? i didn't sign the contract yet so i need ur help urgentlyyyyyyyyyy plz :) thanks for ur support LL's address/PO, passport copy, deep titel and mobil phone number is very important otherwise you can't catch him and need the help of the agent. I wouldn't sign a contract with a 2 years renewal in Dubai. You never know what will happend in the next few months. mmm... i have his passport copy, but mobile phone number no coz he's hiring a managing company who will sign the contract and he's in the usa. i will get their contacts tomorrow when i sign the contract, but shall i include it in the contract? also a 2 yrs renewal is for my benefit, if i wanna go i will simply notify him that's all. the point GeGe is abt this item in the contract concerning the fine... 2 months if i failed to sign,,, if he just played some games so that HE won't sign... would i be fined??? i feel am too much anxious...

We have always used GCEN which involved transferring money to their UAE bank account and they then transfer it to their UK bank account and then to our UK bank account. We bank with HSBC here and would receive a charge of AED 40 to transfer to their UAE account, annoying but not too bad. However GCEN have now changed their bank account for us to transfer to which means we have to transfer directly to their UK account - easy enough but I have done this and by HSBC have been charged AED 150 for the pleasure. We only send small amounts to cover expenses for our house there so getting the best exchange rate isn't a massive concern, I just want to find somewhere that it doesn't cost me a fortune to use. I need to check what HSBC would charge us just to transfer direct to our own UK account - it is also HSBC so may be less than AED 150. So how do you all send money back to the UK? Thanks :) the cheapest and the easiest way is to use an agency like ALANSARI money exchange(they have branches everywhere), they will transfer any amount to ur bank account for 15 DHS.

hello crystal, i hope ur point abt the parking is true in my cluster since we don't have a parking spot in our contract... let's hope for the best :) We have just moved to JLT. Don't have a designated parking slot like we did in Marina but can assure you there is no problem parking at all. Think BIG lessons were learnt over parking in The Marina.... hello jacky... have u got charged for parking outside the tower in the cluster itself or something... i know it shldnt be a problem parking but if they r charging for it it wld be hideous...

hello crystal, i hope ur point abt the parking is true in my cluster since we don't have a parking spot in our contract... let's hope for the best :) Hi again, Munnus, do check with your landlord if he has an assigned parking space, or inquire with the Facilities Management Office in your building. However, even if he does not, there IS ample parking... If there is assigned parking for your apartment, do not agree to be charged extra in case you are being asked to do so. edited by crystalsindubai on 28/01/2012 no he doesnt have an assigned parking spot, but is it possible they wld charge me for parking outside???????????? that will be awful...
