I really need to find a drawing board with a parallel motion ruler attached and an architect's stencil. Can anybody point me in the right direction as to who sells these? TIA

I have emailed. Do you think I should call them too? I had my 2 young kids in the car who I needed to get home and no battery on my phone so didn't know what to do. I shouted at him, it took him a while to stop what he was doing and then he just froze until I drove away. I then stopped the car to go and check the area in case anything else was going on or there were any kids around and he'd run away pretty quickly. I am worried about the kids in the area playing unattended so wanted to make people aware of it.

Hi, strange request but I have terrible phobia of having smear tests done and am due one. I used to go to Dr Fischer's nurse - Marian at the Coopers Clinic and she was absolutely amazing and so gentle that you didn't even know you were having it done. I've just found out she left so wondered if anybody knew if she was working anywhere else or whether you could recommend a nurse who was also good and gentle for smear tests.....

We're looking to move to Al Furjan and our only concern is the traffic in the mornings by Discovery Gardens. I understand a new access road from Al Furjan is being built. Is that correct? Does anybody have any information on this - ie it's been started / when it's due to open etc? Thank you!

It's very easy straight past polo club then right at 3rd roundabout straight again and stay right at the turn for bab al shams. I seem a sign for the stables when I was at Emerates equestrian the other day which is on that road too Thank you. I found it easily and it really is lovely there.

We used a company in the UK to come here called Bishops Move. The gave a shared container. Very good service at both ends too and the container arrived early :) OK thanks for the recommendation, I will check them out. I'm running out of time a bit though..

Thanks for all of your responses. We registered DEWA when we moved in in October but the villa tax is never added to the bill, which is why I thought I must have to inform somewhere else... I've also googled but can't find where. I have heard that they can issue a fine for not paying though. Now... should I remind DEWA or not......

Thanks for the tips ladies. I think the problem with mine is more the positioning than the scar. I've found moroccan argan oil is very good for scaring, prob similar to bio oil but I think it will need corrective surgery for the positioning.

I mean basically re-done. My scar is awful and in the wrong place and I would like to have it re-done. I know of people who have had another ceserean and had the old scars cut out and replaced with new better ones so I wondered if anybody had had their scar made better without giving birth again! When you google it comes up more as a tummy tuck, which is something I really do not want....

Ah, OK. So the cooling charge listed on the bill is for communal cooling, which is payable by the owner - not tenant? Is the villa cooling charge under the electricity breakdown on the bill then? Who pays the villa tax - the owner or the tenant? I thought it was the tenant?

Everyone I've asked before - ie estate agent / owner said it was all under DEWA.... Have no idea where to begin finding out the supplier if it's not DEWA.

Choithram on Al Wasl - I just got my son a Ben10 one from there. They had a few other options too. btw - it's not the massive Choithram but the smaller one before Coopers Clinic <em>edited by Mushroom on 27/11/2011</em>

Thanks Kelly_C. You are lucky as there aren't many 8-3 jobs out there especially ones that would probably even cover the costs of all the childcare! JoannaS, getting them a license is a good idea - if you have the time. I'd be happy to hire them a car though so definitely something to bear in mind.

Thanks 4princesses. I thought I had them but realised they don't seem to fit so I have a feeling I have ones for the bugaboo and not the bee. I probably wouldn't use them anyway as the minute I move the car seat from the car my little one wakes up so I tend to just leave it there (not the baby). Thanks anyway.

I'm pretty sure they are the right ones. Where abouts are you? Feel free to come and collect them. Let me know if you want to and I'll post my email address http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/250931326122?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar These are the same, I think.... I have also just realised that the buagaboo bee adapter for the cabriofix is different than the buagaboo adapter. Anybody know anything about that or want to swap? <em>edited by Mushroom on 21/11/2011</em>

If you can get an alternative to Medcare, then do. I had my little girl there in April and the whole experience was horrific. It doesn't seem to matter what you agree with them beforehand, they will tell you that you stay with the baby after etc etc and then they will just do whatever they want. I had to wait 3 hours after the birth until they let me see the baby. They rushed her off to incubator - there was nothing wrong with her - it's standard practice in Medcare and they left me in a children's recovery ward, because, as it turns out, there was no room for me upstairs with the baby. They wouldn't let me see my husband either until I screamed so loudly they had to. There was no reason for this btw. As for the birth - it was a planned c-section - my second and it was nothing short of barbaric. They messed up my drugs so I could still feel everything and wouldn't listen to a word I was saying, just shoving me back onto the bed until I passed out. I'm sure it must make a difference who you have on the day but be on alert at all times there. On a positive I found the aftercare pretty good. Sorry I really don't mean to worry anybody who is due to give birth there but I wish I had more insight before i had gone there and that I had been warned. I just also wanted to add that the experiences I write of above are only a few of huge amount of complaints I have about Medcare and their lack of care. <em>edited by Mushroom on 02/11/2011</em>

Have you tried the original place where you got it? They should be able to provide another copy without a problem.
