Have you come across this situation where you purchased a new gas cooking range and needed someone from SEWA to come and remove the pipe from the existing appliance to the new one in the same kitchen , same flat, same meter. Iv been told that a person from the outsourced company will come and do the job and charge AED 300/- !!!!!!!!! :cry: Is this true? but this is too much. where can i call and inquire about this. Im calling the SEWA helpline but no one is responding.

Thanks ladies . She gets married in a month, has completed her education from a prestigious university and is happy with the family and the guy she is marrying. but as the days are nearing she is having these thoughts. Pre-wedding jitters? She is close to me so is asking me to help her with these feelings. Just the fear of the unknown future. I am talking her through it but still would like some inputs from here too. Just recalling that quite a few of the brides-to - be I met before their wedding felt the same. wanting not to go ahead with the wedding , fear of leaving her house, how will the in-laws be, etc. But after their wedding day, they are pretty relaxed then.

Thank you lovely ladies for all your beneficial suggestions. Will surely check them out. When I was hunting for foundation, the MAC lady was the only one who gave me the best shade that matched my dark brown skin tone. The other brand that was recommended to me was just a waste of money. I looked so weird in it. Yes, lipstick shades like Plum, Wine, Cinnamon suit me. So was wondering if there are other blended shades that I can try. Few more days till the sale at lifestyle ends so will check them out. Thank you once again.

Hi all, I am really blessed to have this forum to seek advice, so here is one more question. I have twin boys on the autistic spectrum (7 yr old). One of them is getting more and more difficult to manage. I am a full time working woman and the kids are taken care of by their nanny and a little help from my inlaws. However, his biting is getting severe and in blocking that, its either my son or those managing him who are getting injured. I would like to ask what should be done here? On weekends I take care and I too can see that it is getting difficult to physically handle him. What are the options? Do we have agencies that provide support for taking care so may be there can be some respite or should I be checking for a therapist on my visa though I was not too comfortable with getting someone on my visa. We need the money to educate the children and manage finances, so leaving my job is not an option. Additionally my nanny will be going for 5 weeks to her home town early next year, will need help again. Please let me know what options are available in such a case or how do other special needs' parents manage. Thank you ladies. Yes Apricot, that was the only famous dessert we had growing up other than the usual kheer, firni and gulab jamuns. Mom used to layer the cake, vanilla custard and mixed tin fruits, cover with nestle cream and decorate with the reserved halved cherries from the mixed fruit tin. :-)

Thank a ton lovely ladies. Sorry I just saw this as dint get a chance earlier. But I did see a few recipes online one of which was chef osama recipes. Its the same as u have mentioned :-) The koshary came out very well. Im in love with this dish. Simple yet so comforting. Yes Apricot I used masoor daal with its whole brown skin on. Is it the correct daal or should i use Arhar (tuur) daal next time? I also added fresh grinded tomatoes for the salsa, and the cut slightly thick vermicilli and chick peas for the koshary. Im going make this dish again. I can eat it for all meals. Thanks again for sharing the recipe Gege_DXB and Apricot &lt;3

I bought quite a few from DM. But i wouldn't recommend to get it if it's for the "Halal aspect" reason, apparently it is only breathable if you apply one thin layer. If you apply a thick layer or more than one layer, it is not breathable anymore. Hi Carambar, Do you have a link for this nail polish not being halal as in cant make the ablution with this on? as some ladies still think its 'Halal' TIA

Sisters Could you please share your Ramadhan Plans here with respect to the Ibadah. Five times salah, Recitation of Quran, Taraweeh, Tahajjud, Sadaqah. What else can be included to make this Ramadhan the best yet, In sha Allah? There was a thread here which i cant locate where the sisters mentioned they cook food and send to the masjid too. Also with regards to food preparation what do you do? Any recipes that require less time to prepare yet healthy for the whole day? TIA

Thank you sarahlou123. I followed these directions: If you take sheikh rayed road then keep driving towards Jebel Ali and take exit 29. The sign reads Jumeirah lake towers, Jumeirah Islands, etc. The exit forks into two. You have to take the right most exit and the road will take you to the other side of Sheikh Zayed Road on left. Keep driving straight and turn left at the end. You will see yellow sign boards saying Jumeirah Island. As you turn left keep in the right lane and get into the service road where it says Jumeirah Island. A little ahead is the Masjid Bani Hashim.

Aameen. @Apricot: Yes i was there both the days and all the talks /workshops were so nice i had a hard time choosing. But I did attend Sister Aisha's workshop she did on Dawah for Muslim Women. Very Knowledgeable and motivating. Even the talks by Bros. Tim Humble, Yusha Evans, Ismail Bullock, Abu Musa'ab, ma sha Allah Amazing!!!! @marrosh: Mabroook !!!!!! :D . Brother Sajid is really very gifted. I had attended his worskhop of Surah Yusuf Tafseer: The Unfolding Dream , when he was here last year. It really gives you a whole dimension of understanding of so many things. Im waiting for the recordings of this workshop from Kalemah. They are still under process. Happy typing :-)
