I am planning to cook chicken tomorrow and want to try something new. Could you please share your recipes like karahi, nihari, hara masala and others too which you make. Do you know how to make Namkeen Gosht, Mutton Peshawari etc. I make chicken karahi and the usual chicken curry and add chana or potatoe to it sometimes, have already made butter chicken and chicken tikka masala.. so really want to treat myself and family to a new flavor and style. :) Thanx a ton.

Thank you all for your generosity in sharing the recipes. The way my friend described the type of brownies she wants, made me even more eager to try them out; moist, melt-in-the-mouth, chocolatey. mmmm.....:)

Thank you Apricot :-) your tips have been helpful. I have a question when i read about bakers using drinking straws. i am assuming, wont they bend when a cake is placed on them as they are flexible plastic straws. The PVC pipes are sturdy though. Thanx again dear.

In my Nikah contract I included: cannot force me work cannot force me to stay at home cannot force me live in a country I don't want to should he decide to take a second wife, he must offer me the option of a divorce Husbands and wives should discuss everything and make good decisions together about what is best for them, their family and their future. In my case, I am so lucky because my husband is a good man, hard working, honest, and loyal. We discuss everything and our decisions are joint. Thank you mrsb. you are right. and am glad to know that Alhamdolillah you are enjoying a good relationship. and yes whats important is to be : good man, hard working, honest, and loyal as you have mentioned .

Thank you so much Apricot. Really appreciate it and waiting for the website links too. but at your convenience plz. So, should the lady mention her conditions in the contract even if the future husband and inlaws are good people, like the right to get a divorce or conditions of second marriage? etc etc. to be on the safer side. This is the right that Allah has given the lady but what if Im thinking in my mind that what will the future relatives or girl's family think that does she have second thoughts of not giving her fullest to the relationship, lifelong. So what is the best thing to do? Thanx

Javria, PLZ dont use Sinara and Mumtaz. Every rice bag that advertises Long Grain BAsmati , is not :\: They are hopeless, waste of time and resources. Plz try these rice. Long grain and good for pulao or biryani. [b'>Punjabi Altaie[/b'> http://www.arad.ae/rice-items.html [b'>Iqbal Rice[/b'> http://www.khushitrading.com/progallery.html#28 [b'>Qaswa Rice[/b'> Also, if you can go to Ajman there is a famous Hashim Flour Mill (+ 971(6)7423495) which sells Mustafa Rice. This rice is wonderful LONG grain when cooked. I compare it to Noodles they r so long!!! Hope you get the best one. Do let us know

I can understand the sufferings the lovely ladies are going through. I know some beautiful, Strong Women who are tolerating and carrying on with great difficulty. They dont have the option of leaving due to the part of the world they come from. They cannot go for counselling too. Taking the Husband for counselling is out of the question. Like one poster said in the messages below, we dont know what people around us are going through and also all the unheard sufferings in all corners of the world. I have started doing this. PLEASE pray for every Creature of Allah who are suffering in this world, whom we dont know and will never know, for whom we cant do anything :-( Also please keep the ladies, who have shared their experiences with us, and also the ladies I know, in your prayers. Thank you so much.

For a good fesenjoon, you need walnuts to be grinded very, very finely. You might need a new food processor. I have been using my braun for 7 years now and it is still going strong. P.S. if you like Persian recipes with walnuts and would like some more. I have a couple of lovely ones from the north of Iran. Let me know if you would like them. Salam Irooni, Chitoori? Khoobi? I would LOVE to have your recipes. PLEASE. Khayli Mamnoon.

Hi Naiyyar, you could try adding some pink to the icing along with the purple. The wilton instructor at Tavola gave us this idea. Another possibility is to use butter which has less yellow dye added to it. I have tried a few brands here and the Carrefour red packet (unsalted) of butter is almost white, just like American butter. Thank you so much Apricot. I have some frosting will add to it an see. Will look for the C4 butter too. Thanx again.
