I thought this was another argon oil thread... Lol! No, I'm being vague on purpose because my question was more about what seemed to be a confusing business process in Dubai. But now, it's quite clear and easy. I just needed to find the right people to help clear things up, and by accident I did. I'll not be doing any advertising here other than the correct ways if and when needed,

N.Kaye i admire your persistence how much would you plan to sell i am interested... and no you have not driven customers away i have always been the brunt of cattiness and i wont stand for women treating other women as such... lets be positive, you can get any message across and still be polite and not come across as negative... lets lift each other up instead ladies! Thank you. It's a natural product with hardly any 'processing' which keeps the cost low and retails for $22 dollars else where. Dubai price will be determined after I get in all the additional costs added from shipping and importing. I'm pretty hopeful for something similar in price. Thanks for your kind message again.

Look, I'm 26, I know the inside and outside of forum trolls and attention seekers and if you want to continue making a show of yourself, go ahead. It all boils down to lack of attention in real life. Can't be dealing with women that clearly fit the 'mature' categorery but act so immature.

Awww thanks summerdream. Yep, sure will do :D I now have the solution. My neighbor and dear friend is the CFO of a large hotel/spa chain who will sort out everything for me, just like that. Last night, caught him and his wife at the front gate, chatted casually and boom......amazing what can happen when you talk to people. Al Quwatain - I would have sold one to you, but seeing as you need to re-educate yourself on the word grumpy, I wont now.

If I knew the ins and outs of how to set up a business would I be asking questions on this forum? No idea, if I need one I will, if I dont I won't. Judgmental women like you get on my bad side, I ask a genuine question. Give a genuine thank you, YOU then try and make this seem like I'm trolling. Gosh, wish women would encourage other women sometimes and not twiddle their thumbs waiting for an opportunity to pounce.

I really want to know how all these 'cake' ladies and 'photographers' have their small business from home. I swear each day I receive event invites on Facebook or emails about another cake baking, photography, beauty or baby business. If someone knows one of these home business ladies please ask and post back here. I'm so interested too.

Thank you all very very much. The "official" advice was just the same as mentioned by you amazing mama's. Lots of skin to skin, keep offering, and keep up calcium via yogurt and cheeses as my daughter won't touch formula and isn't ready for cows milk. Also - doc said it 'may' be self weaning if lasts longer than four consecutive days, rare but not unheard of. Well it's day 2 and will keep trying. I'm giving her yogurt but can't help feel anxious about her not getting enough nutritians etc. Her nappies are wet as her thirst for water has increased. Can't believe after 10 months of smooth sailing breast feeding this happens. Her ears, nose and throat are fine, must be teething. I'm pumping but wow my supply has dropped :s

Some tips please ladies... My baby has suddenly stopped nursing. It's been a full 24 hours since her last feed. I'm so worried. She's fine, not down or upset, everything seems the same health wise, she just isn't nursing. She was exclusively breastfed till 8 months old, then from 8 months I introduced solids and is now 10 months old. She has regular meals and breastfed too. Is there anyone I can get help from in Dubai? will see doc tomorrow but Im desperate for some answers now. Thanks

I know this was an august thread - sorry but anymore information on this? I mean what are the rough outlines / guidelines to the necessary steps. Obviously I'm just requesting vague information so it might be more appropriate to ask for contact details of any organisations that help with this sort of thing apart from the one listed. Thanks

Why didn't you report it? Why assume it's cultural? What culture? Dodgy blokes taking pics of kids is NOT cultural. Report the buggers but still feel maybe should have been done at the time. One more thing.....in general.....and cultural....take note. please - enough with the assumptions that your child gets attention because of your colour. My kid isn't blonde and we get lots of attention. Don't think I've ever been anywhere and not had it. Always women or families. Never men!! Babies are seen as a wonderful blessing and the attention you get is out of love and they genuinely like babies. All babies. We've been conditioned in the west to fear any adult that comes near your baby. So yep - sure this incident was/is unacceptable. Quite frankly any men taking pics is. It would just be nice not to assume you get attention because you're white and that all bad behavior is 'someone' elese culture. Nope, it's they love kids. Side note - just back from the shops (England) and two White girls/teenagers burpt in my face. One dared the other to do it. I'm not going to start saying that this kind of bad manners must be a 'cultural' acceptable action. No excuses! Nasty people everywhere.

I hope none of us ever have to work for pennies in a boiling **** like car park and need to run after a dirham. I also feel quite upset and sad that this post was written by an expat who's privileges are in a league of their own compared to such workers. I'll also add, it's quite depressing to think humanity is forgotten so easily. Walk a mile in someone elses shoes and all that. Very sad :(

I too have had horrendous experience in heathrow (not with people though, with delays and the rush) I spefically chose Birmingham this time. Always had a pleasant experience there. Gulp - here goes nothing :D Thanks

Thanks guys. I've managed from the time I wrote this post to now, to bring her bedtime to 11pm. It's been incredibly difficult and I've had to just set her wind down back in 10 min increments. Sllllllloooowly getting there. This is the only way it's working for her/me. Secondly!!! Nooo luck or progress with cups/straws/sippy cups nada, nothing. Still ebf. I'm hoping she'll be ready for some solids soon, tried already but she went mad at the spoon. Blimey! One step at a time eh! I have a flight to catch - and now she won't accept the nursing cover lol. Guess I'll be flashing on my flight :s edited by N.Kaye on 28/08/2011 edited by N.Kaye on 29/08/2011

I probably should have explained better. I did this last time, created a group all nicely done, came back here and the righteous mods deleted all my efforts. So I don't how to get around it. If you all join a thread on the ww forum, say the uk one, look out for the title, we'll take it from there. Surely this post can stay as I haven't mentioned anything!

and while we're all agreeing with each other, I also agree with a much earlier bedtime, (and with lights off, no playtime after that time, regardless of how often she wakes up.) DS (12 months) is also in bed by 6:30, up by 7am Personally I would tackle one issue at a time, get sleeping sorted, then battle weaning from the boob, a tired LO is not going to be all that co-operative with sippy cups etc. 6.30 to 7 - I am green with envy! edited by N.Kaye on 21/08/2011

This all started 1 week after I got back here. It didn't register until a few days ago, that although this happened a week after we returned from England - it must be it. She naps during the day fine. About 40 mins nap 3 times a day. She just took a sip of water - all be it a tiny one from a baby cup!!!!!!!! Should I stick with water fir a while before I attempt formula?? I guess so right :s Oh and till 2am, every night were together in the bedroom and she happily rolls around the covers, will coo and Ahh, giggle for ages. All while Im ignoring her. I think I'll need forget the kiddie light and just turn the lights right off. She will scream the roof down though.

I've tried (and failed) with sippy cups. I tried a soft tip one from Just Kidding and a regular one from tommee tippie. I will try again as today was a nightmare and couldn't get it past her lips without her bulking :s So I'll try again :( Another question - how do I go from her random 2am bedtime to a much earlier one? Where do I start? Thank you, thank you
