If you are looking for a new skinny pizza - I love the ones from nonno in Business Bay This! So pleased to have discovered it next to my home ...isn't it fab? Rossovivo is decent too..probably better eaten in. Has been slightly soggy the last couple times at home but has good authentic ingredients and flavour

Hello, I am on the hunt for a cleaning company that come in to do a pre - move deep clean in an apartment that has had refurbs done, so needs people who can come in with some professional equipment and their own supplies. Any recommendations please? The only non - ridiculously expensive quote I have so far is from this Smart touch. Oh and Tool time has no slots available for all of Sept :/

You could get one of the purifier style hoods...which don't need the outlet duct etc. Not sure how effective but I will find out very soon as bought an indesit one recently from ikea

Hi..no we just used whoever was there at the time of our appointment. It was a guy called Rachid. If you want to email me on [email protected] maybe I could give you details of my tiling guy who is handling our work so far.

Kalkoul..wow is that 80-100 just to supervise the ikea kitchen fit out? Sounds excessive to me although i don't have a direct comparison as we are just using these individuals with dh supervising (lucky that he is able to at the moment) Our ikea designer offered contractor contacts if we were interested ...why don't u just go along to ikea, go through their process to see how much the actual kitchen would cost (you're only in for the 500 dh you pay them for measuring up...and then phone one of their contractors to see how much the rest of it might come to. Maybe you've already done the ikea bit..so ignore me in that case edited by nnair on 10/08/2014

Hi Kalkoul 99, sorry I don't have a kitchen contractor (gulp)..We just have a tiling guy and a plumbing guy from all the other renovation we have on at the moment. The tiling guy is helping us rip out the old kitchen and do granite counter once ikea has fitted the new kitchen in. Try Jason at big fit out who gets recommended a lot, or Merritt (contact info should be on EW) who a friend was very happy with. I would have liked to use them but they were fully booked until Sept so may be an option for you if you don't have to start right away. Good luck!

The spa at park hyatt is lovely..I asked for a couples room for the massage and what we got was a fab "suite" with attached private jacuzzi, steam room, showers etc...I'd assumed we'd be charged extra for this amazing room but was delighted to find out when paying.. we were only charged for massages. I thought the massage itself was good too.

A lot of the newer buildings in Business Bay will rent direct to you...saving going through an agent (sorry but I have yet to come across a helpful one!) Your budget should get you a 3 bed in Business Bay easy, and the road situation looks worse than it actually is. We are in Ubora tower (same side of Business Bay as Windsor) and can get onto Al Khail in under 2 mins. The building is fab! Also road works are on in full swing now so here's hoping they will be finished soon too :)

Not much help with driving directions but it is on the service road next to the DIFC Metro station...sort of between the station and the Dusit Thani hotel. You can see it on Google maps. Don't know if that helps though

Hah never imagined I would have anything to contribute to such a thread For the banoffee this link says about 40-50 mins. http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Dulce-De-Leche#In_a_Pressure_Cooker I used a saucapan for it last time and it took close to 4 hours(!!) for a still soft caramel...so will definitely be going the pressure cooker route next time!

Hi Not sure about your specific need but a nutritionist called Dr Shefali Verma has come recommended on here in the past. She is helping DH work out a diet based on a lot of food intolerance testing etc. May be she would suit your purpose too? http://www.dhcc.ae/specialist/232/Verma-Shefali/

Hi Lady Brit, Hope your preps for the move are going well. We have just moved from London few weeks ago and deciding on where to live (and then finding an apartment to our liking) has been tough! Don't know as much about either area as the ladies who have already commented..but just thought I should mention that these areas are not nearly on the same sort of price range are they? If you are looking for a 2 bed you would struggle to find anything in the Greens for less than 80k and that is in the ones on the older(?) side. The area does have a lovely feel though.

Don't panic...I know it's worrying if you've never had spotting before. I certainly freaked out the first time. Never had spotting before or since but for a couple of months last year would spot for several days before my period. Just sit tight until the 7th. Highly unlikely based on your dates that you have anything to worry about.

thanks ladies! Goldilocks - I was hoping you would get on the thread...had seen an earlier post from you re. driving directions :) Good to know about the taxis and food deliveries...it is the kind of thing we were worried about! Couple of doubts after reading your post - - We must have missed the crapness of the finish...could you give me an example so I can be on the look out at the second viewing? We actually thought the finish was the good part because the ones we saw were not very large tbh. - Is the "chiller"/AC not a separate thing from the DEWA bill? It is what we were given to believe. Thanks a ton again...my DH learnt about EW yesterday as I was reading these responses and was amazed at how helpful this forum is. You ladies rock! xx

not sure about the rule on licences...but we usually stick with National/Europcar for the rentals. The cheaper options on carhire3000 work out to more if you want the excess waiver thingy(is that what its called?) for the insurance. we found out the painful way last month :P
