All airlines have to have wheelchair accesable seats in every cabin including those with non moveable armrests, ask for those if no wheelchair person prebooked already.

Am a former flight attendant and this is very common. I have even seen the lightning go right through the cabin (not so common bvut very impressive!) and there is nothing to worry about. Planes are designed with this in mind, as in can and does happen frequently. Should see it when it speckles off the cockpit window and follows your hand with a slight pink tinge, amazing!

I had a sweep at 11am and the contractions started at 12pm. I had a show after the sweep and when i got to the hospital at 3pm was 6cm dilated. Think it will push things along if nature had intended it to happen if not ready will have to let nature takes its course. My waters breaking was a tidal wave and i was quite shocked at just how much liquid there was as i had been told to expect a gentle wave. If you think it was your waters then i would get checked out. Best of luck.

I did the blooming fit classes when pregnant with DD, they were quite new at the time and the classes quite small so was great, all the excercises were tailored to how far along in your pregnancy you were and the instructor had children so knew what it was like to be preggars! Highly recommend!

My DD suffered with the cramps for a week or so during the night and also messed with her daytime sleeps when we started her on solids at 6 months. We choose to persevere and introduced new foods slowly for this reason. The poo's would wake her up and she would be upset. We started with rice/cereal at 11am, giving 40ml or so of her milk first then a teaspoon or two of the rice and then the rest of her bottle. We did this for about a week then we moved the rice to the morning feed again with her bottle, gave the 11am milk and then lunch at 12.30pm of carrot puree for a week. Then we introduced dinner after the 3/4th week of the carrot and for B/f we would introduce a new food ie apple/pear/sweet potatoe so that we had all day to watch for a reaction. Then once passed we would move it to lunch or dinner. Good luck, it is tough. X

Depending on what the repair is they may not be able to do it, we had this experience with mulberry. Instead we had the bag repaired at Nstitch opp LuLu supermarket near MOE. Great job and cost 40aed.

A gym that has a crèche/nursery/babysitting service attached to it so that post pregnancy Mums can drop their babies off whilst getting in a much needed work out! A lovely snack/salad bar attached to it would be a bonus ;) Yes! Babysitters at the gym! Not everyone has a maid. Best idea on here! Even the local authority gyms back home have a creche.

Am returning to work and need to find a nursery or day care near the Emirates hills area or in Media city, so far i have tried raffles and jebel ali nursery but cant take DD until she is 18months. Grrr! Would anyone recommend leaving their kids from 9-6pm with a nanny/maid? edited by nutty on 03/05/2011

You can buy all the bits you need in a curtain making shop, Satwa is the best place to try, can get roman blind kit for around 10aed. I like Feshwari star but i hear that the dragon mart is the cheapest in town.

If you can remember where the shop was go in and ask if they remember you. We did this when my silk curtains magically shrunk once hang. Also couldn'd find receipt but told the owner roughly when had purchased and they looked up their invoices and we ended up getting them to mend the curtains free of charge. Worth a go.

DrSalihi at healthbay polyclinic is an advocate of all things natural. I delivered at American hospital where there was a great team of midwives who supported my doctor throughout the birth. In response to my questions about an epidural she asked why on earth i would want one? I ended up having an assisted birth as my DD was quite happy to stay in the birth canal but highly recommend Dr Salihi as she gave it her best to get her out without interferance.

I woke in the middle of the night with a period like cramp and the runs, thought nothing of it and went back to sleep. Mentioned it to DH in the morn and said not to worry as we had a doctors appt at 10am. At appt, doc checked me and told me i was starting to dilate but could be days yet. At 11am i had my first contraction, at 2pm couldn't stand up due to very strong contractions every few seconds but not consistent, some lasted a few seconds and others lasting longer. My DD was born not long afterwards. I had no bllody show, waters broke whilst being checked at the hospital. I told my Doctor in front of witnesses that i wanted a natural birth unless either of us was in mortal danger, don't be rail roaded into something you don't want or need. Tell you Dh what your wishes are and inform doc all descions have to go by him first. Good luck, i enjoyed this magical experience and im sure you will too.

Depends on the colour of tan IE is it a cool or warm tan and is the dress a cool or warm grey? Both should either be a cool or both a warm. For the bag and hat would defo go for a splash of colour.

CW think thats about right. Comforters/duvet's should not be used in a cot until theyare 1 year of age. Have you tried a sleeping bag? My DD also 8 months loves hers as she cant kick it off in the night. We use a 1 tog with the AC on 23/24. White company at the outlet mall does pink/blue gingham sheets for around 80aed.

Thats a basic cot size, check mothercare and M&p's. M&P's at the outlet mall sometimes have them too. What age is your bub? We put matress protector first, then fitted sheet and then use sleeping bag but if not would then be flat sheet and comforter.

Agree with Dubai cat, talk to Cecile. Breastfed babies can and do sleep through the night with sleep training from as early as a few weeks, i speak from experience. Formula will not make baby sleep through, good sleep habits will! You've done the hardest part now get some help. Good luck!

Wouldn't bother about bedding/towels etc, the White Company have a sale on every 5 mins and plus the bed sizes over here are far bigger than most back home so would buy here and just bring enough to do. I made the mistake of only bringing summer clothes here and as its heading for summer i would bring cardies for the malls and plus when you go home for a visit you dont want to get off the plane in flip flops. Huge summer sales starting in june for all the other household pieces and for furniture would always check www dot dubizzle dot com as lots of people move on from Dubai in the summer.

They have Zumba (dance) on tuesday morn 10.15am at the Asagna spa in dubai marina, they have mummy bootcamp at the lakes on a thursday morn etc, is this the timetable you were looking at? They also do lots of buggy fit classes.
