Asked about it in baby shop today in MOE and was toldit has been out of stock for 8 months or so. Did you mean it had a teathered strap which is used instead of isofix in US cars? They had those ones but was advised by guy in shop it wouldn't be suitable for a flight but queried that as said on them FAA approved. Over 1000aed though. Am very interested in the outcome of this as travelling with 8month DD in July.

Go to any coffee shop with wifi in media city/ibn battuta and should be able to download it. We have DU in tecom and its not blocked, just checked. The quality is variable without a VPN, better with and then you can watch UK tv too. And as for being illegal, well yes its true but check any internet cafe across dubai and they all have it. Find msn messenger works better most of the time. edited by nutty on 27/04/2011

I am in springs 15 opp meadows 9 and love this area. The reasons being the community was built with families in mind. Its a 15min walk to shops, they are lovely green areas for the kids to enjoy as well as parks and pools locally, springs 15 has 2 communal pools. Yes the community looks a bit older/established but that is what gives it character and stops it lookinglikie the other generic looking developments in Dubai. I know all my neighbours which is something i very much disliked about living in Umm Sequien 1 for 3 years where i didnt and if the rent hadn't been so cheap we would have been out of there a lot sooner. The fact that we are half way between SHZ road and al khail/emirates road i see as a positive and to be fair will it make that much difference to your life if you have another 3mins in the car? I have beenn in Dubai fopr over 8 years and have lived all over and this is by far my favourite place to live but then this is only my humble oppinion.

Have just done the very cheap at Acacia hotel Ras al khaimah, 250aed/nite or 399aed with waterpark tickets to Iceland waterpark. Hotel on an industrial estate but has very cheap brekkie 19aed and lunch 30aed. Great size pool and free shuttle bus to Al Hamra fort beach hotel. Entertainer vouchers for both hotels make it even better. The waterpark was great and hotel was a great location to explore the surrounding area. 1hour door to door.

Depends on the age, how passionate she is about it or is it just another way of rebelling? If did decide to go ahead would escort her to shoots and ask her to think carefully about what jobs she puts herself forward for so as torespect her backround and beliefs. Think she would respond well to discussion rather than being told whatshe can and cannot do. Work with her to find a solution that suits everyone involved.

If the car seat should be fastened with a shoulder belt then it is not secure to use on aplane. Reason being if their is turbulence etc then the car seat would be at danger of falling forward with your child strapped in it as nothing to hold the back of the seat in place. Being wedged in is not a chance you would take in a car. Think it has to be a 5 point harness for take off and landing or if under 2 then must be on lap. Just read on another site that BA have Britax seats for onboard use so see if you can track down one here. Good luck. edited by nutty on 26/04/2011

Ace had an awesome heavy duty nmber that lasted 2/3 summers, do not buy the cheap canvas like ones as they rot very quickly, get the waterproof trapaulin type. Ours covered an 8 seater and cost around 150aed.

With regards to the dreamfeed i or DH would gently lift DS from crib and hand express some milk onto her lips she would wake up just enough to latch on and feed but without waking up. Alternatively DH would give a bottle of EBM to her and then eventually formula doing it the same way. As she got used to it she would get angry if we didnt get the milk in fast enough, lol! Do not burp baby and dont change nappy unless poo. Keep the lights low and noise free. May take a week or so for baby to get used to it as may wake up more than you would like the first few times but then will become part of the routine as long as you dont talk/stimulate them etc. Try baby rice and cereal as fruit/veg they might not be quite ready for. Best of luck!

Just saw a new one and he is from the only accredited uk FSA company in Dubai? Problem is he is 27 and wants us to put our money into some sort of bond. No problem, but what does concern me is how much experience he could have with a long term bond at 27. Phoned the company and will be managed more from uk and it has tax benefits, just dont ant to be burned again.

Think it would be totally unethical for him to ask you out but if you're getting the vibe then you may have to dig deep and suggest something to him and see what his response is before you go the whole hog and ask him out, ie like where does he hang out on Fri mong? OK maybe see you there.....

Buy the entertainer family book to get BOGOF's and get the timeout kids edition. Just a thought are they bringing their car seats/booster seats with them? You might want to check dubizzle.

Worth every penny towards the last few months, dont like yoga too slow for me normally (cardio freak) but when everything starts to get sore and you start to slow down this is a life saver as i felt like a new woman after doing the classes. I also loved meeting other new mums to be and they are now amongst some of my closest friends and all our children play together. See if the gym offers a monthly package that may save you money.

My DD wouldnt take the aptamil 2 at 6 months (also sick) so continued with the one for a few more weeks then started introducing it once a day etc and now thats whats she on. Midwife i spoke to said there is actually no need to change onto a number 2 (contains more corn syrup which fills them up) and actually better to keep on a numer 1 and give more of.

Try the hungry baby formula if you dont want to start solids just yet you may satisfy him that way or perhaps try increasing the volume of milk you give him at each feed. My DD was on 210ml at 4months even though the cans say wait till 5/6months for this amount but she was one hungry girl. Could also try baby rice/cereal as previosly suggested as it is nearing that time. Dreamfeed helped my dd to sleep through so also worth trying.

Am also not the most demosticated but here's what i do. Buy the ministry of food by jamie oliver(idiots guide to cooking), do a monthly shop (c4)if you like us have a big chest freezer, send DH out with kids for the day and set about cooking up a few meatloafs/lasagnes,chilli/spag bol, curry's and freeze. Put into tuperware in portion sizes or wrap in foil and defrost as you need and serve with frozen/fresh veg boiled or steamed. I also do a weekly shop for the fresh fuit/ bread/milk etc. Actually finds this saves us money than doing it weekly. Also do the same with the baby's purees, make abig batch/freeze and alternate. Prefer to iron when its just been washed and hang rather than leave to build up but to be honest would rather send it out to be done. Always clean up as you go along rather than let it build up most jobs are easier to handle if you do it in small chunks. Dont beat yourself up about this and dont compare yourself to anyone else, we all have different strenths and do you really want your tombstone to read hereith lies the best housewife?

I'm very sorry to hear that this happened to your daughter. It is perhaps worth reporting to the police as maybe he will not be charged btu they do keep a record and if it happens again then a case will be filed. I had a bad experience with a well known desert safari company a few years ago where the driver would only allow me to sit in the front and kept trying to find excuses to touch me IE helping me in and out of the car and touching my arm etc when he spoke. A few days after the trip he kept calling my house number even though had booked it through my mobiule no and was seen outside my apartment building, contacted the police and gave a statement and never heard from him again. These vermin rely on young girls not saying anything and questioning themselves and should be brought to justice.
