As a former hostie i used to get free tickets for my my other half to come away with me several times a year, only thing was he was petrified of flying. Booked 2 sessions at a hypnotherapist and no longer felt apprehensive about travelling and on the flight was alot calmer, although i wouldn't say his fear was gone it certainly made travelling less of a nightmare.

Have had my fingers burnt so many times with this! Now i always take one member of party to supermarket with me and if they dont get the hint, disappear to get something when ringing through groceries. Same in coffee shops, stand back a bit and take them up on it when they do offer. As for sightseeing offer to arrange but let them pay on arrival when they get there. Sounds tight but we get too many visitors....

Thanks, i too have the pink but the sun has faded both the orange and the pink along the hood rod creating two faded lines so i was thinking to dye them black in order to get some use out of them. Have also read that they are coated in something so are quite difficult to dye but may just give it a go and they are sitting unused in the cupboard!

Have used the bugaboo travel bag on Emirates, BA, Easy jet and did not count towards baggage allowance on any of them. Emirates did manage to slash the bag on its first use and would not compensate as they deemed the bag still useable. Had to hire a bigger car to accomodate travel bag plus luggage and didn't really protect chameleon much would pad out with bubble wrap. On the plus side none of the afrore mentioned airlines weighed the travel bag and since it was Xmas and 30kg doesn't quite cover all the extras we loaded up the travel bag and got an extra 10kg. Buy the mclaren and the travel bag if you need the xtra allowance like us if not stick to the mclaren.

The street where i live (in new Dubai) is very friendly, walk round the neighbourhood between 4 and 6pm and you will see lots of people walking dogs/children etc. When people move in for a whole day normally there is a big truck outside stop by and say hi.

Think along the lines of turning night into day and thats pretty much it. Alot of people observing Ramadan will sleep the day away (after working their reduced hours)and then have big family get togethers that go on late into the night, complete with fireworks, bangers and general noise you would expect in the day not night. Trying to get anything officail done can be a challenge as reduced working hours. Driving before sunset is not recommended.

Try the outlet mall, a lot of people slate it but if you are going for wardrobe staples and not fashion then it may be your place. They have a monsoon, banana republic and gap, good for buying the basics in good quality fabrics and from monsoon you may just get those funky accessories. There is a shop called lily there which also has well cut garments at a fraction of the UK price. They also have a Mango and a Massimo Dutti. There is a shop call Allied that does Geox/Todds etc for great prices but as with any outlet mall its a hit or a miss.

I was diagnosed with this a few years ago and found out when i discovered dark hairs in a place woman should defo not get them! Found it relatively easy to control through diet, i noticed that i would crave carbs/chocolate and when i watched my diet the symptoms would halve. I had a ruptured cycst in the August and recieved treatment and then concieved my daughter in the November so it doesn't necessarrily have to effect your fertility its best to be aware of it and read up.

Hi Emma, Start with the basics, linen trousers bootcut tends to be the most flattering for most shapes, spend a little bit of money on them and get them in a few colours then find a good quality vest top with or without sleeves and buy in the colours which suit you best. Mix and match with funky accessories. Buy flattering dresses/skirts and mix with the above. Look up your body shape on the net to find out what cuts will work best for your body shape and really highly recommend having your colours done professionally. For shops try Monsoon, Banna Republic, Debenhams, Reiss, vero moda. There are a few stylist here in Dubai that wont break the bank if you feel thats a better place to start. Good luck!

Steralise the bottles normally 6 at a time, read the formula instructions for water amount for the baby's age. Fill the 6 bottles with required amount of low salt boiled water such as ARWA. Place steralised teats and tops on and store them in the fridge for up to 24hrs, then use as required heating to room temperature either in the microwave or bottle warmer etc. For trips out warm bottle to very hot and you can get from Tommee Tippee little individual formula containers that you steralise and place IN the bottle with the steralised water and simply take it out and pour it in. Keep hot by buying bottle bags or most nappy bags have a compartment for this. Also buy bottle brush and steralising tablets.

You need to transfer the money before the end of the financial year and declare it but then you move back in the next financial year IE after April to get it tax free. This is the simplified answer ask a FA, try Mondial.

I know how you feel, when i was pregnant with DD i had 2 x severe bleeding and was worried sick all the time. You could invest in a doppler to listen to the heartbeat but i have heard that they are quite hard to use and as soon as you feel the first kick you will never use it again. Hang tight it's a little miracle being formed inside you. Watch your diet and take long walks, time will pass.

Travelled with DD at 10weeks and found it pretty easy to keep her in her sleep routine throughout the flight. Wouldn't do it without a bassinet seat under any circumstance though. When we arrived there was a 4hour time difference so we gave her an exta feed, activity and sleep cycle before putting her down for the night anf then dreamfeed her and she woke up at the adjusted time.

Ha funny how the ones defending dubai and their amazing lives are the ones with the highest posts. Cant be that fun here if all you do is post on EW all day every day. Think you'll find love it's the people with the high posts that communicate with their fellow expats and therefore dont need to find fault with everything around them as they have feel involved and related to.

Rude, yes! Honest, yes! I have seen so many people come and go, it's as if the moment they decide to leave Dubai they slag it off. I truly think its a low self esteem issue or perhaps a resentment that they have tried and failed at something and want others to blame. Failure to make friends or as much money as you think you should have...... Lets face it back home has just as much faults and maybe more if we are honest but it is our comfort zone and for most an easier option. So yes good riddance and thank you for your contribution or lack of.

Buy all your shampoo etc over there as so much cheaper and then dump before you come back, more space for shopping! Karon very quiet but a short taxi to busier resorts depending on your likes and dislikes. Take boat tour to PHI PHI but not the one that stops on a deserted island for thew afternoon. Go see the lady boys in Patong at night, worth a giggle. Make sure you try the thai facials and massage but ask for oil or be black and blue. Have a great holiday!

I wouldn't touch any American carrier for an International flight. The service is aweful. Too right! Would prefer to fly with a local airline such as Emirates or Qatar although Emirates JFK flight is a hit or a miss with your fellow passengers as most come from sub continent and leave the aircraft smelling of curry with all their special meals being ordered. Not joking!

Always stock up on my Geox from Allied, got a cracking pair of knee highs for 180aed, crocs are cheaper, buy all my sports gear from there. Mamas and papas is a hit or a miss as is any outlet. R&R jeans for less than 200aed. Bought all my stuff for hikking in peru from outlet mall for a fraction of the price. Not great for everything but it is after all an outlet mall.

Always electric. I used Madela mini although they dont have a great write up i liked it as it wass small and discreet. If pupming to return to work better with Madela swing as faster. Expressing is not easy to begin with its something you have to do every day until you fill a bottle in 5 mins instead of the 45mins it may take you the first week or so.

Express every day at the same times so that the body know how much to supply and when. Gradually you will see an increse in supply with the pumping but it has to be learned. Keep a picture of the baby close by when expressing. Drink plenty of water, non alcoholic beer, eat oats, almonds to increase quality. Do lots of skin to skin whilst feeding LO to encourage BF. Remamber BF takes 60 muscles and bottle takes 4 so you know it will exhaust LO.
