Hi, I know this an old thread but trying my luck to see if you guys are in the UAE and if you still do freelancing work
This ended up being my friend hiring The Boxtones and the venue was Arabian Ranches - Birdie's Bar.

Not for a birth, but I have seen Dr Aryan a few times including having a small procedure done and all went well. She is very pleasant and approachable.

Hubby is from a different country (which I love to visit), but mum and brother are also in two different countries so this year we went to Spain and had a week with my mum and dad and brother and kids and then ten days with hubby's family, Mum, sister, brother-in law and their kids. It was fab, it's very different being 1 of 9 people for three weeks, but it was so worth it. What do family's fight about?

I think it's downright illegal now, you can actually get arrested on the spot according to my friend who was told by a policeman recently...

Yes a Filipino paramedic from Al Ain died from a mers-Corona virus. They have quite a number of people in incubation right now as well. I don't think that it is at panic stage right now, but it is something to be aware of. As for schools closing for rain, well, it is against the law for schools to be open if they lose power, running water or cannot operate in a normal manner with all facilities, plus the chaos on the roads when there is flooding leads me to believe that they did the right thing that day. Rain is not a regular occurrence here. It was SPITTING!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe that there are other people with only one child in Dubai, I thought we were freaks, especially as I was practically lambasted by my child's school for his poor social skills due to no sibling interaction. There is an 11 year gap between myself and my sibling so I was pretty much an only child and I turned out OK *swats imaginary fly

Can I jump in to ask, when do you know that your child has special needs? I have just been told that my son is being assessed by the special ed guy, but I don't think he is anything other than a slightly naughty boy and believe me when I say I do not look at him through rose tinted specs. Any advice?

Have you read The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark? I used to be afraid of the dark (and used to suck my thumb, but it was later than 7 when I stopped...) I used to read that book a lot and I think it helped me. I also used to pretend to be afraid of the dark more than I actually was so my Mum would leave the landing light on and I could still read after lights out. I just didn't need much sleep as a child. In wish it was the same now!!!

How is the breakfast menu? There is nothing on the evening menu that I want to eat, I tried the mackerel and it was horrendous and the crispy fish was only just ok. I didn't fancy anything else. As has been said, the location is glorious, if they would just fix the menu, and maybe add mussels?

The thing is that I have been informed by JAFZA that we actually can. We paid all visa costs for an employee to then resign after less than two weeks for personal reasons unrelated to the job. It seems unfair that we are out of pocket :(

Thanks so much Yorky! I am trying to find the rule that states that an employer in JAFZA can claim visa fees back from an employee who doesn't complete the probation and it's not in there! Can you help with this? TIA!

Me too! in 13 years I have never struggled with allergies here, but now I have a cough and a red itchy eye and a rash all over my palms that I haven't had since I left the UK!!!! Telfast is a blessing. The pollen has been so bad I just had to take my dog for an antihistamine shot as he was sneezing continuously for three days!

My LO went to Wafi with Active Sports - Louise. He is now fearless and I am considering trying to get hold of her for some private lessons. I thought it was worth it.
