with reference to this Does anyone know if people with tickets can go straight to the concert or whether they have to enter the race first and get a wristband??? My DD has a ticket to the concert and was leaving after school but it now seems they may have to leave earlier. Any info gratefully reveived.

We are in a 3 bed in Saheel with a pool and our bills av between 2,500 and 3,500 dhs a month. We are a family of 4 but all out all day. HTH

There is usually parking adjacent to the Yas Arena. There was for Madonna. It was well organised and quite quick to get out at the end.

Thanks Gorobattie.They aren't quoting that much. About 150 dhs for each new track - it's just that it seems such a waste when there's nothing wrong with the rails and hooks. It's just the cord that's broken. I guess I could remove the cords and keep the old rails for some lighter curtains that don't need a pull cord but I've got enough junk in my garage already!

I think pretty much all the Beitish Curriculum schools, apart from DESS and Jebel Ali, start at Nursery/FS1. This includes JESS, KIngs, JPS, Wellington International, English College Primary Schhol, Horizon, Safa etc.

Some schools the IB certificate, which is easier than the IB Diploma. I think it includes a vocational component. Look at Deira International School and JESS at the Ranches. Also check out the Aviation College as I believe they offer some courses that might be of interest.

Do you have a Facebook page? Social media marketing seems to work really well here. Ask you existing clients to 'like' your page and then offer them an incentive to 'share' an article or ad on your page (say 10% off their next treatment or whatever). That way all their friends will get to see your page too. Maybe offer monthly 'special' treatments at a discounted rate.

I would contact 'Up and Running', a specialist clinic on the Al Wasl Rd, almos t opposite Umm Suqeim Choithrams. They do bio-mechanical gait analysis, look at you running style, running shoes etc. I have had quite few friends who swear by them. I'm booked in next week. HTH

There are several bridges though. The first one goes over Al Khail Rd. the second one goes over a new junction. After this stay in the right hand lane (as you pass the petrol station on your right), then go left at the junction(Saudi german hospital is n your right) Regent School is the several blocks up on your right. You can't miss it.

There is an agreement between UAE and Oman, to promote tourism, that there is no fee for tourists to enter Oman within something like 10 days of them entering the UAE. This applied to my sister and her family when they came last Xmas. We took them to Oman (via Hatta) within a few days of their arrival and their Omani visas were free. They were on British passports. I know things always change here but this is how it was.

I agree with Debliz, the border will be extremely busy this Wednesday afternoon/evening and on Thursday morning. Go earlier if you can. If you are campers you could leave it really late on Wednesday evening (i.e leave Dubai 11.30pm onwards). The border should have really quietened down by then. Head through the border and then just head off to the left behind the trees/bushes and camp anywhere along that bit of road down to the coast. We have done this several times without any issues. You could then stay somewhere nicer after that if you wanted to.

Get on to Emirates Rd and head towards Sharjah. Arabian Centre is on Khawaneej Rd which is the exit after Mirdif City Centre. I think you will have to go along past the Arabian Centre (on your left) to the next roundabout and come back. There is a way in round the back but probably too hard to explain.

More info: It is called the Dubai Early Childhood Development Centre and offers services for children from birth to 6 years. If the child is older than this they would probably still be helpful in pointing them in the right direction.

How old is the child? There is a child development centre based at Zayed University which offers assessment and intervention services for locals. It is a bilingual service. I am sure they will be able to advise the family. I will look up the contact details and post.

Dr Sue Norton at the Dubai Physiotherapy and Family Medicine Centre is excellent. She removed a couple of my moles and sent them for testing. Very thorough.

A paediatric physiotherapist would be able to give you some ideas and strategies to encourage your child's gross motor development and would also be able to spot if there was a problem. You could try the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre on 04 340 0005. The senior physiotherapist is called Krista. RPTC is between Lulu's and MOE. HTH
