What about strawberrynet.com, free shipping worldwide? :) I use Strawberrynet for all my hair products, but they don't stock the make-up brands I want! And I can get "2 for 3" on some of the brands I want from Boots! Gggrrr... <em>edited by plumie on 26/09/2012</em>

If it's liquid, gel or cream then no. S&S verified with me that they wouldn't ship items I wanted when I wanted to order cream eyeshadows and mascaras. Thanks SD that answers my question! Off to empty my basket :(

My DD also went through a bout of constipation when I moved her from breast milk to formula at 6 weeks old. I alternated between 10ml cool boiled water and a few drops of olive oil in her morning bottle. I did this from about 6 weeks to 8 weeks old and now she has regulated herself and goes every 3 days. Nice soft mash potato consistency :D As long as it is natural and given in moderation then it should be fine.

I had DS in a co-sleeper up until the age of 3 months and then moved him into a cotbed sized cot with full surround bumpers. People have been using cot bumpers for years so I don't see the harm in them as long as they are used and fitted correctly !!!! Pregnant mothers smoke and drank 20-30yrs ago...likewise did kids ride in cars without being strapped in or put in car seats. Did it make it safe? Times have changed and so has RESEARCH! Airwrao without a doubt!

Yay..i can now stop beating myself for not buying when the last big sale was on. Also if it helps anyone here, H n M have a nice sale going on , alot of baby and children clothes for only 10 20 dirhams. Great! I popped into the H&M kids section randomly and noticed how lovely their baby clothes are, really nice quality too so will definitely be making a visit! If anyone goes to the Babyshop sale please let us know what sort of items are discounted and by how much. Specifically have my eye on the Quinny Buzz 3! Thanks! H&M Kids clothing is awesome!!! Cheap, cheerful and good quality! And if you're in the UK - stock up! The prices are half price and the range much bigger than what we have here! I go to the UK annually just to shop for DD's clothing, and clear out the shelves in H&M :D

My neighbor used Emirates Home Nursing when she had her twins! She had someone come in the evenings to help with the night feeds and then once the twins were a bit older, she had someone come during the days, and she would take her older DD out for a bit. She had no complaints and the nurses were lovely! Worth a try... http://www.emirateshomenursing.ae/baby_care.php

You and me both Ayda247!!! Today was my day too!!! I am the heaviest I have EVER been in my whole entire life! I do have 2 healthy beautiful baby daughters to show for the extra baggage I am carrying ;) So my plan starts tomorrow... Mornings - hot water+lemon+ginger Greek yoghurt with nuts, flaxseed and honey Lunch - Ryvita with something or a salad Dinner - Protein with loads of veg! I've also signed up for a 6 week course with Pure Fitness which starts on Monday! It's core straining for post natal mums, concentrating on the tummy area! I've done some of their classes before and have thoroughly enjoyed it and have seen results! Wednesday mornings - Body Pump at Fitness First and Saturday mornings I do Aqua Circuit, also at the Fitness First! I've taken my "before pictures" tonight and will look at them daily to motivate me! I also have a closet full of clothing which I cannot wear, not to mention shoes too, and it pains me! Feel like I am being held hostage in my own body:/: I feel good about my "resolutions" and KNOW that I can shift at least 10kgs! I'm 70kg now, pre-pre-pregnancy I was 55kg, I'll settle for 60kg, but would be very happy with 58kg :D Good luck everyone, I know I'm going to need it ;)

Maybe this will give you some ideas: http://www.mealsmatter.org I've looked at this one, but something just did not appeal to me?! Maybe I should have another browse through! WW has proven results, but DH feels it is too restrictive! I've manged to get us to loose between 5-10kgs each before our wedding, just by eating healthy and having packed lunches! But feel I need more guidance this time as we both have loads more to shift post pregnancy (and that's both of us) ;)

I'm actually really worried about you (gathering by your frantic/desperate threads on EW). Re: the expired Woodwards - I would not use it. Oh Hun, I can hear the pain and desperation in your words :( And it takes me back to when I had my first born! She was colic, reflux and very high maintenance! I too felt exactly the same way that you do "this is meant to be the happiest time of our lives"...but instead we were at our wits end! There is so much in your post that is "normal behavior" for newborn and then there is the fact that he may have a physical barrier which is causing him all this distress. You are doing absolutely nothing wrong, babies unfortunately do not come with manuals, and 80% of babies do not follow the text book! Please, get some help and support. I can, out of personal experience recommend Cecile De Scally! She was a lifeline to me at the 7 week mark where I felt I was about to lose the plot :\: Unfortunetly, like many services there are mothers that are pro-Cecile and anti-Cecile. Do a search on the forum and you can draw your own conclusion! Her number is 0555886298. She does home visits for newborns, so if that works best for you, she is able to accommodate you! Another midwife that can recommend from personal experience is Andrea @ Lifeworks! She only does home visits and is not as busy as Cecile, so I'm sure she could possibly pay you a visit tomorrow! http://www.counsellingdubai.com/lifeworks-development-dubai.html I would also consider taking him to a specialist!? Dr Loubser is one of the best Peadiatricians in Dubai. Again, do a search on the forum, and you will only read praises from Mums! Both my girls are with him, and I am 100% confident we are in the right hands! http://www.ihcdubai.com/doctors/michael-loubser/ With the right amount of help and support, you will be on the right path to forming a wonderful relationship with your baby! The first few weeks are possibly the hardest, but know that it will pass and you will gain your confidence as a parent x

not my thread, but I remember the thread and responded to it. Severe constipation is one of the many symptoms of celiac disease, so that may be an area to explore. edited by Purple on 23/08/2012 edited by Purple on 23/08/2012 Purple - that I very reassuring, as it means I have not lost any marbles ;) I'm specifically looking for the Dr's who were involved!? I have a suspicion her little girl may have Celiac disease and have recommended Dr Loubser as a start. But it also seems like she may need therapy, and with that she is also introverted and extremely shy! We are not sure if it's all linked?!

Hi There, we've had a search too but don't really know which thread you are looking for- if you could tell us more details it might help us to have a look- any of the names, anything that would make the thread stand out? When it was? Thanks in advance! EW Admin Admin - thank you for responding! I'm beginning to believe that I imagined the thread :\: as I've searched too, but with no luck! It was about a Mum who's daughter had a "fear of doing Nr 2's" on the toilet ad kept it in. They eventually got to the root cause after many many tests, and also ended up taking the child for therapy to help her overcome the fear! I've searched "constipation, constipated, intolerance, celiac" but not found the one I am looking for :( And I'm almost certain it was in this year! I struck a cord, as it was a very painful ordeal for all involved, hence me remembering it so well! I'll keep on searching, and thanks for you help this far!

Oh poor baby :( No tips of tricks though! My DD1 also had reflux and we chose not to medicate, she outgrew it at around 16/19 weeks! Who diagnosed her, who is your Dr? Are you using the liquid or sachets? I think the sachets you can mix in a bottle of milk, not sure, but I have some downstairs and can check for you?! Surely this must be easier than the syringe! Let me know if you are up for a visit and we can pop around, maybe next week sometime? X

Am a HUGE Storksak fan, and totally love mine! No flowers and frills so very unisex, excellent quality, most of the bags I have seen in their range are very spacious and practical, and they do not look like a baby/changing bag, which is a bonus :) I bought mine in John Lewis in the UK, I don't think you can get it here though?! Pricey, but well worth every cent!

I have never ever breastfed my DD in a toilet nor changing room nor baby room and I never will! Eating is the most natural thing in the world and as Mothers we should not be ashamed to feed our babies when they are hungry, and nobody should make you feel awkward about it! If anyone dare to tell me that "it is not allowed", they will hear some profanities coming out of my mouth :/: This is something I feel very strongly about! The first few times as a new Mother can be daunting, but you will soon gain your confidence and things will go smoothly! Get yourself a nursing cover, and get on and do your thing and feel proud! I have BF'ed DD2 just the other day in a Dr's waiting room, just took my breast out, latched my DD and threw a muslin cloth over my shoulder! The waiting room was full, and nobody batted an eye lid :)

All is still well with us, DD on track with feeding/sleeping & weight gain! I'm finding I need to get out of the house every few days though, as cabin fever starts to sink in and I became a lunatic ;) Not sure how we are going to get through the summer though, but somehow need to figure something out! Does anyone know of a book store that regularly stocks the Baby Whisperer book? Baby is due on monday and suddenly realised that getting this book was on my to-do list and completely forgot about it! Oops! Kinokoniya almost always has it stock! If all else fails, I have it, and you are more than welcome to pop over and borrow it! I put DD1 on the EASY routine from about 9 weeks old and with DD2...literally whilst we were still in hospital :) So far, it's working really really well, but I also think partially because I know how to implement the routine! Hey - how are all the new arrivals doing? And how are the Mumma's coping with Motherhood? Hope all is well and healthy with everyone! Good luck to all the upcoming births next week! I was discharged on Wednesday morning, there was no way I was going to lay another day in that bed! My recovery went well and DD2 was healthy as a bean, so there was not much reason for looking at those 4 walls anymore ;) My milk also came in fast & string on wednesday and boy oh boy - did I forget how painful it can be!!! Touch wood BF'ing is going really really well and DD2 took to it like a pro! Little Missy literally sleeps and eats the whole day, probably 18hrs out of a 24hr day at the moment! We are indeed counting our blessings, as we know how rough it can be, DD1 was no walk in the park from the minute she was born! Hope to read some lovely updates from the rest of the new Mums :P

The bra's at Mothercare, M&S and Destination Maternity have worked well for me when I was breastfeeding DD1! It's a "1 time use item" and hence I could not justify spending 200aed+ on one bra alone :/: All my BF'ing bra's got milk stained, so once I was done BF'ing they went straight into the bin! Pure cotton, comfy (which is the main thing as the size of your breast change constantly during bf'ing) and washes well ticked all my boxes!
