Miscarriages: painful, unfair and unexplained :( I am so sorry this has happened to you gingercat, and like many others - i feel your pain and i know your pain! Dealing with a miscarriage is like going through the "5 stages of loss and grief" - Denial (did this really happen to me), Anger (why did this have to happen to me), Bargaining (if only i did this, if only i did that), Depression (sadness and isolation) and the one that comes at the very last - Acceptance (when the dust has settled and calm takes over)! Take your time, cry when you need to, talk when you want to and don't let anybody rush you in getting over this! Everyone heals on their own time, in their own way. Remember your DH and lean on him, support him and talk to him! I shut my DH out for a very long time when i had my miscarriage, forgetting that he was suffering too :( They need us as much as we need them too! Sending our lots of {{{CYBER HUGS}}} and know that you will heal an you will get through this xxx

Buddy1 - I would highly recommend Cecile De Scally! DD is also 10 weeks old and we have been with her for 3 weeks now! Since then we have seen some major improvement with her sleeping habits, with the odd off day! She went from having no naps during the day, to having at least 2 good naps during the day! And sleeping from 7 - 7 with one feed during the night! Hard work, but at least you know if you are having a bad day - you can call Cecile and she will help you through it! You can contact her on: zero five zero six nine four seven nine three eight Good luck x

I am wondering is Cecile advised Plumie to give it after the feed b/c she is breast feeding? Thats what I had to do after DD BF. edited by Mrs Laughan on 14/02/2011 Yes - you are right MrsL, DD is breastfed! In saying that, I just gave her 1ml, 15 minutes after her feed, and she threw up most of her feed again :( She hates the taste, gags and boom - it's all over the place! **SIGH**

thanks How often are you using it a day? We have only started using it today! Will be giving it to DD after every feed, so that will be 5 times a day.

LD - just came back from seeing Cecile and she advises best to give it to her in between feeds! DD seems to be suffering from silent reflux, so we will be giving her 2ml after every feed. The Gaviscon acts as a barrier and "seals" in the feed. HTH

Muslin Cloth for me! The bigger the better :) DD has had some major throwing up sessions and the Muslin Cloth has always mopped up well ;) Unfortunately I am not a fan of the ones which you have mentioned below, so not much help on that front!

It's always best to check out any form of spotting during pregnancy. However, saying that, implantation spotting is very common in the early weeks! But best let a Dr confirm this! Good luck and hope it is nothing serious x

haha Plumie - we are sounding rather similar, I am a massive shoe addict too - I got 2 x Louboutins for a pressie after DS was born .. love them - although I have barely worn them as I am not working yet, but I love to take them out and admire them every now and then... it is a bit of a joke with my friends as they are inside shoes as you can't replace the patent red leather soles once they are scuffed on hard surfaces... hehehe TanyaR - i have not built up the courage to open up my shoe closet yet! Just could not bear the thought of looking at all my beauties and not being able to wear them :( *SIGH**

My wedding ring goes as far as my knuckle! DH even took it to the jeweler to see if they can make it bigger, but unfortunately not :( I just miss wearing it, as it has been like forever since i have had it on - 8 months to be exact! 8 months Shellly?!?! :\: I have a timeline with the feet - DH has promised me Louboutins in April, so they MUST shrink back as i refuse to buy a size bigger! **Right, off to google "diets for feet" :D edited by plumie on 08/02/2011

It took ages for my fingers to go back to anything resembling their pre-Will size. And I mean AGES. Even when all the water retention from the pre-eclampsia went, when I'd lost 20kgs in 8 weeks, my rings still wouldn't fit. And the weirdest thing was that it felt like they wouldn't fit over the bone, not that my finger was too puffy! Okay - define "[i'>ages[/i'>" DC??? A girl needs to have a timeline to get her through this "living in hope" phase! :D

**trying to pretend that i did not read TanyaR's reply :\:** I've google'd and google'd but 80% of my searches came back with the same answer - it probably won't shrink back!!! One lady even said that if you wear tighter shoes and squeeze your feet in them everyday, eventually they will get the "picture" and snap back to original size ;) So, if you see a lady in the malls with shoes which are too small for her and it looks like the life is being squeezed out of her feet - that will be me!!! :) Signed by: LIH (Living in Hope...my own little acronym too :D )

Oh dear. I've just spent the last hour trying to reassure her :(. But I guess they're all different - does anyone else have any idea if 5.68kgs is OK for 17 weeks? edited by DubaiCat on 07/02/2011 DD is in the 75th percentile for her age, when we were last at Dr Hamzeh (the same day we were at Cecile's) so not sure if that helps you? Saying that, another baby who is 4 days younger than her, is minute compared to her - in weight and size, so maybe i just have a "big boned" baby ;)

I’m the opposite too honest about my feelings and frustrations, if I wasn’t I would have lost my mind raising three little ones and having to pretend I'm in picture perfect Norman Rockwell painting, when it comes to kids you have to be pragmatic. Have you read this? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-397672/Sorry-children-bore-death.html She definitely gets a medal for being brutally honest! ;)

My DD is not as old as yours, only 9 weeks and we started sleep training at 7 weeks with Cecile! It's hard, very hard - but we know if we bite the bullet now, we will have a much more settled and content baby soon (at least that is our hope :) )! DD also went from not sleeping during the day (and wanting to be on my arm for most of it), to having at least 2 naps, sometimes 3 naps if she is in a good mood (all settling by herself)! We went from rocking/patting/shushing for 2/3hrs in the evening to [i'>max[/i'> 1hr of patting and shushing whilst she lies [i'>in[/i'> her cot! It was not easy when we started, however seeing the results makes it all worth it! We are following the EASY routine (Tracey Hogg - The Baby Whisperer) which is very flexible. We are also following a "self settle" routine with Cecile which I found to be the hardest bit, but the most rewarding! Many tears over her cot whilst I watched her cry, but also many smiles in the morning as she is well rested :D I am determined to stick by my guns "A little bit of tough love, goes a long way, a very long way!" I don't believe it is too late Poppy82, it's taking the first step which will be the hardest, but will pay huge dividends!

Nope - not a reaction, but it's your skin stretching to prepare for your new body :D Try not to scratch, instead apply the Bio Oil every time you have the urge! Should'nt last long though, but be prepared for the appearance of stretch marks! My tummy itched for a bit, I moisturized as much as I could and not a single stretch mark! My b**bs itched as well, I moisturized and unfortunately I have stretch marks so bad they look like train tracks :\:

The best cut jeans for backside definition has to be True Religion jeans. I haven't seen them in stores here, but the quality of denim and the cut are fabulous. I'm with you there, I love True Religion and wear men's, best jeans ever. They are in Galleries Lafayette men's section. Have you tried Ai Zone & Boutique One (both in MOE)? Even, possibly Bloomingdales?

Hiya, ok so called ped last week as DD was in so much pain and straining. he said she is just got a build up of gasses, prescribed suppositories for 3 days. Some says she pooed others she didnt. I have still a bit of an unsettled baby. Will call ped again today as she hasnt pooped again since thurs and that was from the suppository. Very unsettled yesterday crying and straining. I actualy think this could be linked to the diflucan i have been taking. So hard to know. Argghh i am pulling my hair out. Glad your bub is all sorted Plumie. :) Was she constipated Leshell? Was her tummy hard? I contemplated giving DD the suppositories as well, but as her tummy was soft and she was not straining much, I decided to wait it out as it was still in the "normal" range for not pooping! For your and her sake, I hope relief comes soon!

Snowflake12 - I went through exactly the same thing last week!!! And my DD is now 9 weeks today! I definitely put it down to a growth spurt. I know there is a "[i'>mini[/i'>" one coming up at 9 weeks and a big one at 12 weeks, however I am convinced - hers either started last week or she is going through one at the moment! She is 9 weeks today and currently has been sleeping since 12 o'clock and had a mini nap in the morning as well! If she had one nap during the day last week, it would've been a miracle ;) Hang in there, am hoping for your sake - it's a growth spurt as well x
