Cecile is now based in Health Care City, where exactly I an not sure! She has also change numbers and can now be reached on zero five five five eight eight six two nine eight We used her for post natal help from when DD was 6 weeks old, and took out the package until she was 6 months old (when she started solids basically) Will be doing the same when the next baby comes, without a doubt! I can't wait to get my hands on our City Select when I go over to the UK to buy it!!! After much research this stroller has not one bad review and all the Mums who I have spoken to who have it, can't fault it at all! Sleek looking and the bonus - 9 different options of how to seat the kids :) The Bugaboo Donkey was my first choice, but the reviews have put me off :( Cumbersome to load in the car and heavy!!! I now know of 2 Mums who have sold theirs and bought second hand City Selects! Such a shame and the Bee and Chameleon are awesome strollers!

Congrats on joining Team Pink sourskittleleash! Looks like July bubba's are all turning out to be little ladies ;) KiranB - how scary that must've been! Are you okay now? Rest, rest, rest as much as you can! Megs79 - DD was a section baby so fire away with any questions you may have! The nausea also seems to come and go with me, but way more bearable than in the 1st trimester! I am feeling good and sometimes have to pinch myself that I am pregnant?! I guess having a toddler to entertain is a huge distraction ;) Have the occasional back ache, but again - it's bearable! I can feel when I have over-did it, so just need to remind myself to take it easy the next day or two! Can't believe I have 16 more weeks to go!!! But first an exodus to the UK is on the cards and then when I am back - little Missy can make her appearance!

Can only hope and wish that things turn around for you and the little one and fingers crossed you can make it to 32 weeks! Miracles have happened before, so keep the faith! Are you in City? Am visiting a friend who gave birth today, so please let me know if there is anything I can do as I will be at the hospital tomorrow! Keeping all 3 of you in my thoughts and prayers xxx

I am amazed at how many women have gone through this and have successfully dealt with it. This feeling of being out of control is terrible and I am waiting to get back my original self. Hiccup - I know this feeling far to well!!! And my heart really goes out to you! It's the most isolated, helpless, fearful feeling :( How do I know Helen - she is my therapist, how do I know Norma - she is our couples therapist, and how do I know Dr Eather Eade - she basically put the life back in me when things were looking very, very gloomy! So you see, many of us have been there, are there and continue to work on facing our everyday struggles and challenges! Dubai is not known as a "hardship country" for nothing! Most of the times it's the wives who bear the nasty brunt :( All the best and know that there is hope x

I am back from the therapist. I am not sure whether it has helped me. Am I supposed to feel happy the instance I leave? I am feeling indifferent. I have another session scheduled next week. Hoping it would get better. The therapist has not prescribed any drugs yet, she said she won't rush into it until the next session. . Therapy is not a quick fix unfortunately :( And make take a few sessions before you start feeling in control again! It's probably the first time you verbalized your feeling to a stranger, so if you are feeling a bit over-whelmed then give it time and your emotions and thoughts will settle! Please do consider accupuncture for sleep, I can't tell you how much it has helped me! Along with vitamins (vitamin deficiency can also leave someone feeling the way which you are) and a really potent fruit & veg drink which I make in the morning has done wonders to restoring things for me! Be proud of yourself for taking this first step, am sure there are quite a few ladies on this thread who are very proud of you for taking charge and speaking to someone today x

Hiccup, a huge pat on the back for taking this first step!!! Helen Williams @ Lifeworks is one of the most compassionate poeple I have ever met & spoken to - she has a long waiting list, but worth her weight in gold! I can also recommend Dr Norma, who is much easier to get an appointment with, and just as good! Remember, it takes a very brave and strong woman to admit she needs help, so this is by no means defeat! God bless you and sending you much love & support! Let us know how things progress x

Hiccup - please, please make an appointment to speak to a proffessional! I can HIGHLY recommend Dr Heather Eade @ The Dubai Mall Clinic. I have just completed treatment with her and things have turned 360 for me! She is a nutropath so will try to restore the balance by using a natural approach - vitamins, F&V power drinks and accupuncture! I was not a believer in accupuncture but am a true convert now! Like you - I had horrendous dreams, nightmares, graphic and disturbing dreams - accupuncture calmed my thoughts and I now have good quality sleep! I feel and hear your pain and you will be so relieved once you make that first step! I cried so much during our first session, it was like a weight was lifted and I can truly say - she is a gem and so empathetic and brilliant at what she does! Sending you big hugs from someone who has been there x

Ladies - I am very happy to report that we had ROAST POTATO's!!! Proper crispy roast potato's :D DH preferred the Charlotte potato, I prefered the bigger roast potato! It is actually a South African potato that said "For baking and roasting" on the bag! Next time will try a local potato with the SA potato. Needless to say I have a huge grin on my face tonight and DH is very pleased that he did not have to bear the brunt of a potato gone wrong ;) Roast Day Sunday's are back on in our house! Thanks again for all the tips x

Right - bought fresh potatoes, Charlotte and a local potato! Did the par boiling, then tossed them around in the pot with salt (could not find Semolina in Spinneys as per Nigella's recipe) and some oil, pre-heated my duck fat and mixed some vegetable oil and olive oil in (as per DC's tip) and they have just gone in the oven!!! I swear, if after all of today's effort they still do not crisp up - then @&$&@¥£€£¥¥!!! Thanks for all the tips ladies

is your oven actually at the temp you set it at? Hhhmm...how else would i know other than what it says on the dial? You ladies are making it sound so simple and easy, i almost feel like i have been depriving my family of these wonderfully crispy roast potato's and serving them my "experimented useless ones" :\: So it seems the par boiling, roughing it up and right oil is the secret? These pregnancy hormones aren't helping either as i think i will have a mental melt down if they do not come out right tonight!!!

Try Nigella Lawson's recipe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/nigella-lawson/perfect-roast-potatoes-recipe/index.html works every time! This looks worth a try, but what is semolina? And which potato are you ladies using? Maybe i am using the wrong d*rn potato?

Hey July Mumma's! Wonderful to read all the updates and also to see a few new members! Looks like July is going to be a very busy month (now we all know wheat everyone was doing 9 months ago LOL!!!) Going to be weird when we all meet up with our babies one day - going to be a room full of pink :D Saw Dr Elsa today! All's well, feeling heaps of kicks - looks like i am going to have one very busy Missy once she is born judging by all her movements and kicks! Some back ache already, but that is due to having a toddler who i am constantly running after and wants cuddles and to be picked up all the time! Dr says she probably senses something is going on with Mamma so am off to search for a maternity support belt as it's not fun when i have to say "Mommy can't pick you up now" :( So far the stats are...feel free to add in/update if i have left anyone out! [u'>Team Pink[/u'> Plumie LMAO-DXB KiranB Niggly pancakemum LJB2010 [u'>Team Blue[/u'> ??? Or did i miss a bubba out? And best of luck for all the upcoming 20 week scans! Very exciting moments :)

Welcome to the July Mamma's Adooli :) If i may ask - what have you "read" about the anomaly scan not being healthy for baby? There will always be "pro camps" and "con camps" on anything. And i guess we will always find evidence to support which ever camp we are sitting in...IYKWIM? I'm just looking at my scan results and am very pleased to read... Heart action present Fetal movements visible Presentation breech Amniotic Fluid normal Cord: 3 vessels, insertion central Placenta normal Heart: 4 chamber view normal, vessels normal The following were visual and appear normal: [i'>Head, brain, face, neck and skin, chest, abdominal wall, gastro-intestinal tract, kidneys and bladder, extremeties, skeleton[/i'> Diagnosis: No obvious defect After enduring a 40min scan, having everything inch of the baby checked over, i am happy to say that i am so relieved to hear and see my baby is normal and healthy and there will be no surprises when she is born :) And now i can sit back and relax and enjoy my pregnancy! Hope you find the answers you are looking for x [b'>Congrats[/b'> on your news LJB2010!!! Sami - wonderful relief to have found a Dr that you are happy and comfortable with! Yes, it is a pity that Dr M does not deliver, but i guess that is the reason why she specializes - so that she can concentrate 100% on fertility and conception!

Have you scheduled another appointment just to check the gender again? So sorry to hear about the hypertension! Anything apart from salt that keeps it under control?

Yes with Dr H @ Meadows clinic. Really trust him, not quick to throw antibiotics at her and hope for the best likesome we have encountered. Fed up with this reoccurring cough though. Said on Sunday should be better within a few days and its not so off we go back again. Hope its not gone further into her chest as she had pnemonia in October. I called in a panic today to try and get an appointment by Dr is over-booked and wants to give it until Saturday to see if the new anti-biotics have kicked in! DD has been waking at 3am for the past few nights - crying, coughing, just totally unsettled and only going back down around 5ish! I just don't know what to do anymore :( I know it seems harsh, but I can't sand the crying and whinging anymore, especially when I have it during the day and then again in the dark hours of the morning!!! I'm worried she is getting worse not better and so afraid it might develop into something more serious?! She had ear infection last week and when Dr saw her on Sunday, he noted that the ears had gotten worse but wants to treat the bronchitis first. She's on Fenistil, Ventolin and Augmentin on top of the squirting and suctioning of the nose! Fed up - I so hear you nutty!!!

My DD 18months old started coughing at night, then the runny nose started and now hacking cough during the day. Took her to the DR. and was toldit was brocilitus which is very common in babies. Its a lower respiotory tract infection.Left untreated can lead to complications. DR.prescribed ventolin and fenistil.I dontlike to give DD medicine either but would rather avoid it getting any worse. Sadly my DD has also developed bronchitis :( Have never seen her this sick and just breaks my heart! On the same meds as your DD, including Augmentin! Are you with Dr H @ the Meadows Clinic nutty? Says he is seeing quite a few cases of bronchitis as the moment, so it seems to be doing its nasty rounds :/: Be careful Mums and trust your instincts if the cough does not sounds right or does not clear within 2/3 days!

Oh thanks Plumie :) I have Frost and The Wedding Dress Shop on my list but I didnt know about Saks. I'm getting all excited now :D One shop I called in the UK said some girls are ordering 18 months ahead - I almost passed out. I know its kind of short notice but its the way its done here, but I'm not so worried now. :D No - 6 months will do! My dress took 3 months to make, then fittings once it arrived, then alterations and i picked it up a week before flying off to get hitched :D Such an exciting time and how lucky your daughter is to have a Mother who can share and be involved in the "choosing the dress journey" and not too mention stress! ;) SAKS has a huge selection of high end American designers. You need to make an appointment for a viewing though, so best to call ahead! Pronovias, works on appointment as well! ENJOY!

My wedding dress is an Elie Saab dress from Pronovias! I cannot fault the service and experience i received, however that was back in 2009. Everything happened according to a time-line - appointments, fittings, meeting with the seamstress, and the final fitting! My dress also had to be altered and i could not fault the service nor the work done. Also cleaning afterwards was handled very professionally! Other places i visited before making my choice was: SAKS 5th Avenue Bridal Room @ Burjuman Centre The Bridal Room The Wedding Dress Shop FROST Boutique HTH

Is your DS only coughing? My DD was only coughing at night (no coughing during the day) for the past couple of nights on and off! She also had a high temp this morning so took her to the Dr and it so happens she has an ear and throat infection :( However, if it is only a cough, then Prospan is herbal cough syrup for kids which you can get over the counter here. Its made from Ivy Leaf. Have used it on my DD before and within days the cough cleared up! HTH

Hellooooo July Mamma's!!! How is everyone doing? For the 3rd time this pregnancy i have come down with Tonsillitis :/: Not a happy chappy at all!!! And DD with an ear and throat infection :( And of course - DH IS AWAY!!! Aaarrrggghhh why do these things always happen when you are flying solo!?!? Is anyone else's immune system totally **** with a second pregnancy? Dr advised me to have them removed as soon as baby is born as once you have Tonsillitis consecutively, its best to take them out! Apart from that - i'm getting loads of kicks and it is simply wonderful (bet i wont be saying that in a few months time ;) )! Anyone else felt their first kicks yet? Its one of the most significant milestones during pregnancy and for a while only you will be able to feel it! Whenever DH tried to feel DD kicking in the early stages, she would go all still - was really funny but also very frustrating for him! Welcome gem6065! Home Births are a no-no here unfortunately :( Think there have been a few threads on that topic before, so just do a search on the forum, and i'm sure you will find out the exact reason as to why it is not performed here! Check your in-boxes soon ladies for the next meet up! Break the silence and please update everyone :D

Thank you ladies! This week was pretty stressful for both her and me :( Have spoken to a couple of friends and teachers and advised me to give it until the 4 week mark to see if any changes! Also this week has been half term so a few of the extra mural acvtivities were on hold and her teacher was also covering another position, so in and out of the class throughout the day! All in all, one too many changes for her this week :( Lots of crying and just generally unsettled! Lost of deep breathes for Mummy though!

DD's crib is also in our bedroom. what time do you put him to bed? do you still give him the dream feed? toys yeah, toys but not the ones he play with..more of to snuggle with.. He went to bed last night at 10pm so I was expecting a good night. The toys I gave him were all cuddly, actually. . If he goes to bed at 10pm...what time is he waking up? If he is sleeping until 9/10am in the morning then I guess it is fine as he is getting at least 11/12hrs sleep, but waking up earlier than that could mean he is not getting enough night time sleep in!? Have to agree with shjbelle though, 10pm is very late for such a young bubba :( It could also be developmental...which means riding it out until the "novelty" wears off :(

DC_Diva - whilst I think your head and your heart may be in the right place, this unfortunately is something i would not be comfortable with :( As TanyaR so eloquently put it, BM is like liquid gold and should be handled with the utmost precision and "respect". How can I trust that the next person will give it the value that I would...when handling and transporting it? Hygiene - another thing that should be a main priority when dealing with BM as contaminated milk can make a baby very sick! I would not trust a stranger handling my liquid gold! Temperature fluctuations - from Mum, to the car, in the car, to the door - in 40+ temps with 90% humidity? This would not bode well with me either! Safety - it is well known that certain products are not manufactured in the UAE due to the low levels of safety measures in place. An example - all the pool companies which I have contacted for a pool cover - none of the covers are manufactured in the UAE due to safety levels not on par with world guidelines. Handling BM incorrectly can mess with someone's life - not a risk I am willing to take either. Hope my comments have made some sense and were of help to you!

Thanks Carol! Their day is actually very structured ( which I love) and works well as I've always tried to keep our day and activities as "routine-like" as possible, pre-nursery! It's the "imitating-others" phase which I was wondering about?! Today on a playmate DD tried to snatch a pram from another girl and threw a hissy fit, feet stomping and all when she did not want to give it to her. This something which she never ever did before and has only started since nursery.

Welcome KiranB and congrats on the pregnancy :) I think a one of two of the girls are at American and a few others at City! Both hospitals have good reviews so either way you are in good hands! The food aversions are pretty normal, I had it really bad during my first pregnancy, and YES is does make it very difficult to eat anything! I remember ordering food in restuarants, sounds nice on the menu and then when it arrives - NOPE can't eat it and poor hubby would have to swap meals ;) How far long are you? If you are 16+ weeks you could well be feeling those first kicks! Very much feels like butterflies or popcorn popping :) And yes - the uterus expanding can ne confused for kicks and vice versa! I'm 18 weeks and have felt a few kicks already! But this is my second pregnancy so I can distinguish between wind, tightening of the uterus and feet kicking away! Lying down, drinking something hot, eating something sweet or drinking something really cold could get baby moving and you could well feel your first kick! Aside from that I am feeling really good and seemed to have gotten over the worst of the flu bug! Acupuncture has been helping with my sleep tremendously and the nightmares seems to have calm down...to an extent! Hope everyone else is well x
