If you keep yourself really busy and your mind occupied; you leave less room for hunger anxiety. Sometimes is a mental thing and not that our body needs fuel. I believe it happens to all of us at some point. Drink lots of water wt lime or lemon, a warm tea wt no sugar, green tea and white tea are antioxidants. Go to the gym, join a class, when the weather gets better go for a walk around your neighborhood or park; and maybe jogging for a little bit. It's a matter of getting used to it and train our bodies to healthy habits. Eat only every 3.5 - 4 hours but healthy stuff. No sugar, dough, bread and high carbs food those make you want to eat more and more and they become fat in our system. Drink water wt lime before eating anything so you can get full quicker and don't eat at night specially after 7pm. Have a tea if you get hungry. After a week or so it will become easier. Best of Luck. Thank you, good advice. All common sense too but have got into bad habit of not exercising lately. I must admit I forget to drink water.

I have seen in US they have this glass door panels with the flap at the bottom that just attached on the exisiting sliding door so you don't need to damage the existing door, has anyone ever seen anything like that here?

Dear ladies, you will see more of my posts with lots of different questions as we have just moved to Dubai and I need to build up my network, thanks in advance for your patience :) I am looking for a dentist who could do a good cosmetic job (a piece of my front tooth has broken off, not a great picture!!). It has been done before in Europe but everything has it's expiry date :) Thnx! Hi, Maichka. I would highly recommend Dr Chris Johansson at Dr Michaels, on Al wasl road. He is a real perfectionist, after having my teeth bleached he redid my two front crowns and built up some of my chipped teeth with just filling. Other dentist told me for the chips I need veneers so we very happy to get away with only having fillings. My kids love him too. Good luck :-)

I don't have any children, but a few years ago, my gyne told me I was a good candidate for an IUD. I have used nuvo ring, combo pills, Depo Provera injection, Ortho Evra patch. I had side effects from a few, and a few I am no longer a candidate for. Guess I will see which the doctor suggests based on the barrage of different hormones I have used, what the effects were, and so on. I'll report back on my experience in case it may help someone else in the future. Thanks again, ladies! EW'ers rock! Why do you have side effects from the others? Has your gynie done an ultrasound? You really should not have a coil before you have kids. Get a second opinion. None of the contraceptions worked with me either, I was bleeding with all of them and developed an iron deficiency because of it so I had the coil in the end after having a terrible time with the coil, my gynie only then did an ultrasound and I have fibroids thats why none of the other contraception agreed with me. They had to do surgery to remove it as it had moved. I have children already so it ok. Check it out properly.

Hello ladies! My husband and I were looking for a good pedia dentist here in Dubai. Someone told us about Dr. Sandeep Malhotra, do anyone here tried to bring their child to him? How was it? Is he good? If you can recommend someone good, it will also be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Dr Chantal Kengo at dr Michaels, in umn sequin 1. She is French and so lovely. My kids have seen her for many years, she was previously at dr Nicolas and asp. Very kind and patient with children, knows how talk to them and make them understand. The clinic caters for children and made for kids.

Never drive on your UK license if you could use your UAE one instead - although you can get speeding fines on both, if you're using your UK license you can also get speeding points on it but not on the UAE license. Found this out the hard way... How much was your speeding ticket, if you dont mind me asking? How no idea what I might be in for?

If anyone lives on the ranches and has access to a proper set of instructions on how to use the timer on the wall units for the air conditioning units then I would be very interested in trying to get hold of a copy! We desperately want to be able to set the timer to make the air conditioning come on and then go off again so we can leave our cats in the house while we are away for the summer. I am worried the house will get too hot for them while we're away if we leave the AC off for 10 days. All we have managed to achieve so far is to lock out the control pad and be without AC for 4 days!! Hi, we live in arabian ranches, I know this now for going through the damn same thing, they cant be set on auto or time setter option is there but it can set. My husband also some how locked it and the room got so hot. We have now had our landlord replace two of the mother boards in the motors only upstairs and replaced the panels with new ones that are on auto, so when the temperature rises it goes on automatically and it is great. I have the LG manual if you would like to try for yourself, I can email you the pages on this, if you would like

Unless things have changed in the last few years you need to contact the local Police Force's Fixed Penalty Office in the area where you got the fine and ask to speak to the speed camera department as it is the police who issue them not the DVLA. Then you can go one of two ways... Either way, first of all you need to explain about it being your friends car and that she did return the form but you haven't heard anything since because you live abroad now and your friend put your old UK address on it which is why it has taken so long for you to contact them (what exactly did your friend tell them, they should have just returned the form with your contact details on? Why did she write to them twice? Did she get another Fixed Penalty Notice?). Then you can lie and say you were on your UAE licence and possibly send it to them if they ask and they will return it to you and write off the ticket. Unless they have reason to disbelieve you, they don't start looking into insurance etc, they simply don't have time and that's not their department. The other way is to admit you were driving on your UK licence and feign ignorance. However.... depending on the force, you MAY (and I stress "may" very strongly) end up in court as you were legally driving on an invalid licence and without insurance. Ignorance is NOT a defence (extreme example - but if a foreigner drink-drives and pleads ignorance as their country has a higher level allowed, then they will still be arrested...). On the other hand, if your friend did write to them and explain you lived abroad, they may have already written it off. But your first port of call is the local Police Force's Fixed Penalty Office. Either way, don't stress too much, you won't be arrested entering or even then leaving the country! And even if they do end up wanting to take you to court, I believe they can do it in your absence. Just always remember, no matter who you talk to - be really grovellingly apologetic and don't end up in court like a step-family member of mine did, simply because she was a bolshy so-and-so, so they took her to court because the COULD! :D Thank you so much for your advise and reassurance. I was on my friends insurance and we thought we did everything by the book, I genuinely did not know about not being allowed to used my UK license. She wrote to them twice as she heard nothing back from before. I think I will just be honest and see what happens. Thanks, again

Don't stress about it and I would just deal with it when you get to the UK. Unlike here, you won't be arrested at the airport, lol I think the worst case scenario is that they will have added further penalties for non-payment. DH got a speeding ticket when we were there a few years ago but we didn't know about it until we were back here. We cooperated with the UK police and were quite willing to pay the fine, but in the end they said 'forget it'. I am just worried as I have seen this now that you should not be driving on your UK license now if you have been living out of the country for over one year and should use your UAE license....lol, I was stressing that I would be arrested at the airport ;-/ And, also the address is registered at my mums old address and she is no longer there.....How long had your DH ticket been outstanding before you contacted them? They wont arrest you for a speeding fine Just call them when you get back and explain what has happens feign ignorance regarding not knowing you cannot drive on a UK licence when you are a non resident and tell them your friend wrote to them but did not receive a reply Ok, I will call them when I am home. Thank you x

Not to add more woes, but were you driving on your UK or UAE licence? Be aware you should have been on your UAE one if you were a non EU resident at the time (and they will be able to find out). Otherwise the insurance etc... would have also been invalid, which you don't want added to your list of penalties as well as having an old UK address on your UK licence. Call the DVLA first and explain the situation. Should I be honest and explain that I was driving on my UK license and I have been out of UK for many years?

Hi, I just wanted to get some advise. I borrowed a friends car in Dec last year and she was sent a speeding ticket that I got, she wrote to them as I my address had change and inform then it should be on my license. She wrote to them twice and I still have not heard anything, I am now worried as its been over six months. I am returning to the UK in a few weeks, do anyone know what sort of trouble can you get into for not paying a ticket for so long? And, I never changed my address....all my own fault but stressing about it. I had no points on my license before. I would call the DVLA in the UK Yeah, I did but they said I need to contact the fixed penalty department/court and i cant find their number anywhere on the internet

I found out my partner was being unfaithful (email, texts, photos etc) a fair few months ago and after much deliberation, arguments and walking out on him (he admitted it) etc etc I forgave him, this happened again another 3 times..again I forgave him. I am now a complete an utter emotional wreck as I think its happening again - I am at a loss as to what to do as there seems to be no love there on his part, no caring, nothing and I feel he is just using me for his pleasure (if you see what I mean!) because I am there. I feel very lonely and very insecure all the time and have lost all my confidence. What would you ladies offer as advice? How do I ask him if he is happy with me or not? I know I should leave him and start again but the prospect of being on my own doesnt fill me with joy. You will be happier on your own then feeling like this, this is the worst. I take pieces out of you because your emotions are being control by him. When you not in full control of yourself and your feeling, this is when you start to loose it. Get rid of him, if you had a daughter would you let her put up with this. If you dont want to be on your own get a dog or a cat for company till you find a man. I sorry but these men never ever change. Wish you all the best, sure you deserve it x

Always used Hayber cars, good for if you are going into Central or southwest London and very reasonable. Otherwise can use black cabs but then you are looking at about £50-£60 to get into central London Thanks for the tip. Submitted an online query regarding pick up at Heathrow this Wednesday at 6.25am and received a phone call on my mobile, from London, an hour later and all booked. Very helpful chap who talked me through every detail and gave me the office contact number if the cab driver isn't waiting for us at arrivals. Payment will be cash to driver - £55 Heathrow to Thornton Heath so a big saving from black cabs. Hopefully all will be in order. Thanks, ladies. I will try these people. Good recommendations...

Ladies, what would you do if you found out your teenager had gone out after you went to bed ? I used to sneak out as a teenager in a much more dangerous country than here, my mother stayed awake the one night, hide outside and followed me she caught me in the park smoking but made me look so stupid in front of my friends I never did it again plus no pocket money and grounded for one month did the trick.

Just to add my experience of WSO....my daughter was the only western child in her class. She was left out at break time because the other kids spoke their native language and so she couldn't join in with their games. She went from being a happy outgoing child to being withdrawn and hating school. The SLT couldn't see a problem and refused to move her to a different class. My older son was bored there. He is very bright but he wasn't pushed enough. He used to bring the same library books home as they didn't have enough for all the children. Unfortunately Gems are all about making money. I have friends who work in other gems schools and they are told to 'get bums on seats' . We have since left WSO and I have to say I will never use a gems school again. Having said that I have friends who are very happy with the school. You need to go and have a look and make up your own mind but don't be swayed by the facilities, it's the teachers and pupils that make a good school, not the facilities Oh no, poor thing. Where are you kids now? Can I ask how old your daughter is? What other nationality were the children?

Is there an implantologist working with Dr Eva and Dr Stefan? edited by Loukoum on 11/06/2014 Hi, Loukoum. I was extremely nervous and dont think I made it easy for him at first :-/. Dr Chris at Dr Michaels referred me there and the experience was not a bad as I thought. I would highly recommended them both. Good luck x
