Agree, takemyjunk - I used them the other week and they were fantastic. As for selling things here, I find so many people disrespectful - I was so fed up with people that I gave a second lot of furniture, golf clubs, hi-fi's, plasma tv's to our removal men, absolutely free of charge. Once again Dubai breeds awful people here.....

Since my dog was imported into DKC, I have used them for the past 4 years - they are extremely "hands on", always a buzz about the place, its no problems, they will even take photos of your dog while on vacation (if you ask them) and post them onto their website! I will be using Urban Tails for weekends away as it more closer to me and I think it will be a nice change of scenery for my dog AND the fact I haven't yet used them - its nice to see some really great comments about Urban Tails.

Hi Ladies, I am looking for a short term rent - it would seem that furnished villas are sky high in rent and I would like to pay a lot less then I am currently paying. I am coming up to the last 6 months of my years lease contract and I can still leave now and get the next 6 months refunded from my current landlord - I am paying 20k a month. Ideally, I would like to cut this by half. Do you know of any ground floor serviced apartments available? I also have a dog - no children. I'm asking a lot but just wondered if you have any ideas or if you have personally done this yourself? Thank you.

Thank you Di@DXB - this is very helpful. Mrs Orchid, unfortunately I cannot say anything at this early stage - all I can say is that my DH's job has been compromised, now warning, nothing - has always given 100%.

I am on eLife (fibre optic) and we have 8mbps as this is the package we chose but faster is available. If your street has fibre optics, then you will be fine. If not, it could be a struggle. The only people in Etisalat who seem to have this information are the Surveyors and they are only available at the service centres (no access to them by phone). If you give them the address and they can identify the property on their street plans, they can tell you for sure. If you talk to the sales staff, they may try to offer you the products regardless of whether they can deliver or not. and what area are living in? thanks for the advice.

O this can be a crazy site to try and recharge - a year ago I figured I could only use Internet explorer to recharge but I had terrible trouble last month and I tried 3 different Internet browsers. Finally my DH said to use "compatibility mode" which then worked - I would not use your iPad for entering your credit card details, use your computer. Good luck!

Wow, these costs you are quoting are ludicrous. I live in Jumeirah Islands, 4 bed plus maids (pretty large villas - if you know them) I have an irrigation system & pool - included on the DEWA bill is my housing which is 1,084 and I my bill this month is 2,600 includes housing fee. In the winter it can be around 1,500 a 1,600 a month. It's just the two of us and our dog. We are very sensible with the A/C like turning it off when not in certain rooms etc. and our irrigation comes on 3 times a day. My DH and me for that matter would not think that 5,000 a month is fair price to pay!

Hi, my parents booked a flight to visit for 2 weeks in over Christmas but its likely that they can't come now. Is there any way that they can sell this ticket on to someone - if so, how do they go about doing this - is it simple? really would appreciate any suggestions as its a shame they will lose the money. This is not an insurance thing so they can't claim on that. look forward to your ideas please!

So, can anyone recommend any cheaper resorts in the Maldives which are great for young families (DH, DD 7.5 mo and me)? Apologies for hijacking your thread Shellly. The Irufushi is pretty great value, child friendly. Check them out - you won't be dissapointed. Sure it's not on the same level if luxury compared to Soneva etc. but it's great value for a beautiful island.

I have lost a lot of weight now and really need to tone up - really would like some recommendations for lady trainers who come to my home. If you are already training with someone, what are you paying and if you have booked a batch of sessions, how man and what price was it? Also what be interested to know how many times a week you exercise, for how long and what kind if exercises.
