Hi Joos, 4G on mobile phones is not available yet unless you're using a mobile broadband SIM card on your phone. As for your experience with their 3G, you can try posting it on Ooredoo's Facebook page or Twitter feed. They can be quite responsive there. Hope this helps. edited by RDT on 07/08/2013

My guess would be to check pharmacy/drug stores as they normally carry hair products (hair straightener, curler, etc.). I recall seeing some at Boots at Villaggio, but can't remember the brands. You can also try checking Sephora (also at Villaggio). Hope this helps!

Hi Picklz, I just had my hair cut & colored by Roger this week. I also tried him based on the recommendations of the EW ladies and can confirm that he is really, really good! I never looked back since trying him the first time back in August last year ;) He is fantastic with short haircuts- I have one myself, and he's always managed to make my hair style look better after every session with him. He's gone back to Lebanon but visits Sheraton every month for a week or so. He is visiting this week so perfect time to make an appointment with him!

Hi kimmc3, did you register to request, receive & get the car plate on the same day or did you need to request the car plate in advance? Thanks!

Hi, Theodore06- try dropping by Qatar Tennis Federation and ask the reception to refer you to tennis coaches that provide private lessons (or you can reach them at 4409666). They might also be able to point you to tennis clubs near your area.

Hi everyone, I'm planning to take the driver's test soon too but without taking any of the driving classes (as I drive back home). Just a few questions- how do I register/ schedule a driver's test? Also, any idea where I can read the driving manual online? I know I need to study all the road signs...

I go to Glow salon- unfortunately, I've yet to try their haircuts myself :-) I've tried Fanck Provost at the 4 Seasons Hotel (for cut and color service), and am thoroughly satisfied with my experience. Really friendly staff and my stylist was super friendly and did a fantastic job with my hair! edited by RDT on 18/07/2012

We are also going to Maldives and have booked our flights and resort separately. A friend of ours told us about the Maldives packages that QA is currently offering and upon our review, it seems like these packages will greatly benefit those who are traveling as individuals (e.g. group of friends who pay individually), and not for couples since there is very little difference in the cost offered by QA (if traveling as a couple and cost is considered double). At the same time, while there are indeed nice resorts included in the QA packages, our preferred resort was not included in their selection so we decided to forego and do separate bookings. I think it would also depend on your level of comfort when it comes to planning your holiday- in our case, we decided to book ourselves as we've been reading up so much about Maldives the past year that we felt comfortable going ahead with the bookings ourselves :-) However, I've also read about couples who decided to go through travel agents for various reasons - e.g. they want their vacation to be really special so they decide to entrust those who are more "knowledgeable" to arrange everything for them, etc. Also, I think that if you are pressed for time- it would be more beneficial to go through a travel agent as they normally have deals in place with resorts and can quickly put together a package that suits your requirements/preferences.

You can buy a wireless repeater to extend your wireless range without requiring any additional wiring. I believe Linksys, D-link et al carry this type of product. Hope this helps!

My husband and I had dinner there last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We arrived around 9:30 and were also told that we had to wait 30-40 mins. to be seated but were actually seated in 20 mins. We ordered lobster bisque, lobster nachos, North Pacific king crab legs and lobster - and they were all excellent. I particularly loved the lobster-- and for its size and price (QR 110) -- was also very reasonably priced. We personally did not experience bad service but we could see that the waiting staff was trying to keep up with the volume of diners. This is a good problem for any restaurant to have- though if it continues on, I hope the restaurant looks into hiring more servers for improved server-table ratio. Anyway, it's now one of our favorite new restaurants and will be going back soon with friends ;)

I also asked my husband the same thing- has any expat won anything from these supermarket draws and he told me that yes, there has been instances in the past. Also, I may sound naive but draws are draws, right? :-) Anyone can win. Anyway, just like in JillMV's case, we spend a lot on Megamart so we make sure to fill out all those draw tickets and hope that our loyalty rewards us somehow :-D edited by RDT on 20/06/2012
