I think Mustafawi (not sure of the spelling) on Sheikh Zaied Road is your best bet. Located after the Gold and Diamond Souk. Not sure exactly how far from there. But, they have it.

There is a labor law in place for the UAE. So, that is always the back to document. If the deduction is not in line with the labor law, then it is not legal. That's what i think. You can always contact the labor office and they can confirm.

As mentioned earlier, Zuma is top class. Saffron has the biggest selection available in town! Both are outstanding. I think also Asia Asia in Pier 7 (its quite new) is nice. We had dinner there, but the food is outstanding.

I think you should contact a shipping company in Dubai and get their advise. Or even call a courier company for assistance (DHL, Fedex...etc). They should know.

Try out The Nail Spa in Arabian Ranches. They use good products. But, for deep cleansing facials, you can go to En Vogue Salon on JBR. They use Guinot products and I am in love with them! :)

There are loads of shops for furniture and bed in Dubai. Furniture shops i like: The ONE, Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn and Marina. Bed shops: My favorite is MEROE - The Bed Boutique. They customize headboards in any color, so very convenient. They carry all kinds of linen and pillows too. So, it saves a lot of time. The White company is my second favorite. IKEA of course is a one stop shop, but if you are able to accept the quality of products they offer. Q Home also was good, but don't think they exist anymore.

Al Barsha is a nice new area to live in. It is actually quiter than most of the other areas in Dubai. They have big houses, so space is also a plus. Loads of shops there and also the best mall in town (Mall of The Emirates) Good luck!

I think you need to speak to a private banker for this. They are the guys who are connected to high wealth individuals in the ME. They can get you the cash you need if they believe in the idea. There are also a couple of big venture capital companies in the region and always looking for new ideas! Just google a couple, but make sure that your idea is safe until you have a written NDA.

Its really difficult to find a mix between these two "Real Estate Agents" and "Reliable". It doesn't work here like this. We have dealt with nightmares over the past years. Its purely how lucky you are!! Good luck :)

Bupa is perfect but very pricey! Our friends have been using them here for 10 years and their son did an operation on his eye in the UK free of charge. AXA is what we use at work and it is also good, but less pricey.
