No problem... we never get any hassle from DP. The maintanance men are hand 24/7 etc, etc. IMO the finishing (ie bathrooms and kitchens) are the best around in this price bracket.

Come off SZR by Safa Park onto Al Wasl and then take the 1st turning left onto the beach road and I beleive its just there... :-)

Regards to the satellite connection... your assumptions are right. If he told you the 3 beds are 130K then how could they have gone up?? I pay 135K and I have lived here 2 years! I live on B road and they do not back onto the bypass road... they back onto the slip road which go's to Motor City and Arabian Ranches. Road C apparantly is smelly...

I live in Layan (3 bed) Bedroom 1 and 2 run off one a/c controller in main bedroom and Bedroom 3 and top hall/lounge run off of a separate a/c controller. It is a DU only area but you can have OSN fitted... lots of people have :-) I have a washer/dryer which does not require air vent. Regarding rent increases... this is all gossip. I KNOW that they have ONLY increased rent on the 2 bedroom villas. I pay 135K for my 3 bed villa, so anything under that then you have done well :-) Lovely place to live...

Yes.. I think that its down to your age, medical history etc... I just knew the name of the one I had at home before and then the pharmacist matched it as the brand name may not be the same..

Yes, you can get over the counter... depending on what sort you have, you may have to change as they only stock a select few. The one I have is 21 dirhams a pack. Hope that helps

Hi, I am reviving this thread... wondering if any of the ladies that posted on here before or if there are any new suggestions on combatting anxiety and the horrible symptoms that come with it? Keep thinking I have it under control and then bang out the blue it comes back... Hypnotherapy or Accupucture or any other ideas. Thank you

Thanks everyone. Hmmm. it doesn't sound too promising. I thought I had heard about school place problems there. It might only be a short term posting so might be best if my hubby commutes and DD and I stay put for now. My hubby is in the Oil Industry. What are the compound names that they are in? OIl workers can live at PDO if they are employed by them. I'm not sure about sub-contractors. But I would put money on there being more oil workers living out of PDO than there is in - its a huge company and they cant accomodate everyone. When replying to you I did think - this lady should stay put in dubai if she can.

The BSM always has a waiting list but you could be lucky... in my opinion its the best school (my son went there) There is also ABA but that is not british curric. People do not live in gated communities in Muscat apart from the oil workers. Everyone just lives in normal villas in the community. The closest you will get to here is the Wave... but that is quite a way out from the school which are the other end of the city.
