We've been 2 times to Latitudes at the Jumeriah Beach hotel with our 2 year old DD, and she enjoyed it very much. If it's a nice day, you can sit outside.

We bought our crib and changing table/dresser at pottery barn kids on a sale. My DD is 2 years old and the crib is convertible to a toddler bed. It has held up very well. I absolutely love it! We looked many places before buying but they had the best quality to us. Good Luck!

While I was pregnant my doctor recommended tea tree oil. I diluted it first. It worked wonders. Now I use suki skincare, and it's organic and all natural. Good luck!

I had a similar problem. Horrible hormonal acne! I started using the suki skincare products and an organic probiotic which I take everyday. It has shown a great improvement. Occasionally I get a spot or two around that time of the month but the suki line has really helped clear. I use a cleanser, toner, spot treatment, day lotion and night lotion. It's kind of pricy but it really works and it's all organic and the bottles seem to last a long time. I tried proactiv and retina but never really liked the results. Good Luck!

Agree. It's normal. My DD was the same during growth spurts. Just go with it as best you can. Try to eat more and drink lots of water. I wouldn't try to lengthen the time. That said maybe if you have a pump you could pass a feed on to someone to help get some rest. Hang in there and Good Luck!!

We bought ours from Pottery Barn kids on a sale. The crib converts to a toddler bed with rails so we can keep her from falling off the bed. Pottery Barn mattress has two sides one for baby and one for toddler. The toddler side is a little softer. My DD is 18 months old and has slept very well on both sides. Good Luck! Just wanted to add that it depends on what you are comfortable with for buying used. My DD has had diapers that leaked so I would not have been comfortable buying a used mattress. I do have a mattress pad below the sheet however I know not everyone does. edited by RubyRed on 02/06/2014

I have a petunia pickle bottom abundance boxy backpack. I only have one DD but I am always over packing. It's been great for traveling as we've taken on 3 or 4 trips. It's easy to clean and has a changing pad attached. I love it! They are pricy but it's been well worth it for me. After 8 months not a scratch or a tear or problem. I think pottery barn kids has a few of the smaller bags. It was a gift from my mother in law and she ordered mine online. I chose the pattern I liked as well as the glazed bag as its easy to clean. ETA There are two kinds the boxy and the abundance boxy. A friend has the boxy, and I'm not sure it would be big enough for 3. The abundance boxy would be better. Good luck! edited by RubyRed on 06/08/2013

I used ginger ale, saltines, and preggie pops. I think I found the preggie pops from blush and bloom. Any hard sweet or sour candy would probably work. I found that mine went away by the 14th week. Hope you feel better soon!

I've been using Purex Baby detergent, and my baby is 7 months old. I've never had a problem but I've just bought a new one called Purity. I'm looking for something more natural and less chemical. I've tried it on our clothes but have yet to try it on my daughter. It's worked well for ours so I will try hers next. Both are in Spinneys. I have seen Purex in Geant as well.

We also use cooled boiled water in the baby bottles. I prepared the water into the baby bottle so that I only had to add formula powder when I was ready to use it. I never had an issue carrying the formula or the bottles. I'm not sure of the exact regulations but I'm pretty sure baby formula is fine. I was never asked to taste it. However, when traveling within the US, they did check using some sort of laser machine as I went through security. He checked each bottle in the machine but the bottles were never opened. Good Luck! I must add that I wasn't overly concerned about it as I mostly breastfeed and use formula as a supplement. Also, everyone was very understanding as they knew it was for the baby. edited by RubyRed on 23/06/2013

I was looking for one also. I am not sure if this helps but a couple of weeks ago I found a summer infant super seat in Babies r us In Times Square. It is similar to a bumbo. It also comes with a tray. The seat seems a little bigger than a bumbo.

Bumping this thread as Joseph made and installed our curtains last year, and we have moved to a villa. The number I have is not working. Curious if anyone has purchased curtains from him recently as I would like to have our curtains altered.

Dear Ladies, can someone please explain this fascination with Butterball turkeys? I've always been under the impression this brand is, shall we say, not the healthiest? Clue in name. Am I alone in this? It does not have to be Butterball. It's just that it's the only brand of turkey I have seen available here until this year. I have seen fresh French turkeys in Waitrose in the past, however I am not willing to pay the price. Spinney's in the Meadows/Springs has Jennie-O this year. Don't forget to thaw your turkey! I will be taking ours down tonight for Thursday! :)

You can come along to one of our many Bumps & Babes Coffee Mornings..... great to meet other ladies in the same situation and get some great tips and advice http://www.expatwoman.com/dubai/monthly_events_whats_on.aspx Check under the Mums Groups tab. Look forward to seeing you all there. Hi ladies! I hope you all are feeling well. It's been a while since I have had a chance to post. I would love to meet up at an event when the holidays have past. I know many are still away. Ruby_A I believe City does maternity tours on Fridays if you want to check it out. We were planning on going even though my doctor is already going to deliver there. I'm not sure about the other hospitals as I have always used City. :) edited by RubyRed on 15/08/2012

sorry Lala but you must thing that we all live in Lalaland.... Be honest. Don't know who Lala :) is but it's not me we just have similar names, I go to London Style and Class after a personal recommendation from a friend, Louise used to do my hair, but when she was off on sick leave Helen started doing my hair. I have not used anyone else since. Didn't know Louise had left, but will ask Helen about the next time I go. Please don't assume an over enthusiastic poster is a member of staff and therefore think the salon and indeed Helen needs to stoop to such levels. Helen's work speaks for its self I certainly have no hesitation in recommending her. Thank you for posting. I only revived the thread because I was genuinely interested in trying the salon after reading others recommendations for Louise on various threads. I tried calling the 04 landline but it wasn't working nor was the email as it was returned to me. Maybe I will try again to see if I can get through.

Congrats!! I would say it really depends in where you are traveling and how much you would like to spend. We usually use JetBlue or Southwest as they fly into where our families live. However, we have used other airlines as well due to our destination.

I believe it is..but you do have to watch what you eat as said before. I wish someone had told me on day one to measure myself as I saw the loss in inches as opposed to just the scale. I felt more tone than anything. I have not done the workout in awhile due to an injury but can't wait to get back to it. Also love ripped in 30. Good Luck! edited by RubyRed on 12/04/2012

I believe if you are using the olive oil for dipping bread or as a dressing it makes a big difference. We have tried some of the store and less expensive brands and the taste is not good. We always use extra virgin olive oil. We use an organic brand called Minerva from Greece. It tastes so much better than the others. They sell it now in Geant. Also have tried another brand called Iliada (not sure of the spelling). I believe it is Greek as well. Both are amazing! The taste is much better than Bertolli which is what we use to buy before we visited Greece. :)

We went to Knowledge Village for our IDs. I had to wait in the typing center but if you go early it is pretty quick. I was sent immediately upstairs to get the rest done (which I was not expecting). There is a ladies line, and I was in and out in 10 minutes. However, my husband had to wait for about an hour or so because the men's line was a little longer. I'm not sure about the fast track but honestly it was pretty quick so I wouldn't worry about. Good Luck!

hi there never been and am considering hols end march beg. april. wheres the best place to go on the coast and which hotel, many thanks(.if we havent left it too late.) Langkawi, Berjaya Resort. Agree :) We were there a few years ago and stayed in a water villa....very relaxing! Although snorkeling was the one thing we missed out on because they were day trips from the resort. There is not much snorkeling around the resort. There were other sports. We did rent a scooter and drive around the island which was great as there were some amazing views. edited by RubyRed on 15/02/2012

Have you looked at staying on Disney property? It could be an option as they have shuttle buses and boats to every park and shopping area within Disney property, I know they also have cabins that sleep 6. Disney has so many resorts for every price range. I agree with Spongemonkey about renting a car. The Orlando/ Kissimmee/Buena Vista area is wide spread so it would help. Also would be worth it to take a day trip to the beach. Be sure to check out the outlet shopping in Orlando as it is great!! They have amazing deals! Good Luck with your search. Hope you enjoy Florida! :)

My favorite is Medzo but it is in Wafi. There is also a great Italian restaurant in the Emirates Towers..I can't remember the name at the moment. Mosaico is the name of the Italian one at Emirates Towers. Thanks, PMD...forgot to come back and add the name..it's been a long time since we have been there but it was very good. I believe they used to have a brunch or some sort of deal on weekends..not sure if they still do. The food was excellent.

I was in Houston last Christmas. We went to Shula's steakhouse for Christmas Eve dinner. It's an upscale steakhouse in the Hyatt. I believe it's pretty close to the Hilton or a short taxi ride away. It was very good. I am not sure if they are open for Christmas Day but you could try as it was inside the hotel. We left Houston on Christmas Day in the evening but had lunch at Benihana..I know they are always open for holidays in the US. Good Luck and Enjoy!
