Thanks again everyone! I have been out all day and no luck :( I was looking to go for 7 or 7.5 because I have a small apartment oven..I was worried anything over that would be too big to fit inside. Unfortunately, everywhere I checked throughout the Marina, Jumeirah, and Dubai Mall area did not work. I saw a few that were 9 kilos but I was so worried they would not fit. edited by RubyRed on 20/11/2011

For eight or nine people..has anyone seen any that are more than 5 kilos? Ideally I would like 7 or 7.5..I have checked a few places and they are rather small for that many people.

We were recently in Milos. It's a beautiful island with amazing beaches. It's very quiet and seems like a perfect place to relax. We were only there for a day as it was with a cruise but we rented a car and drove around to all the different beaches. You can also rent dune buggys and scooters. It's an amazing place. It's very quiet as opposed to Santorini and Mikonos. The people were very friendly and it was not to expensive either.

I think the whipped cream cheese has a lighter, fluffy consistency vs the spreadable cream cheese. I tend to to like that whipped. I can't imagine that it would make a difference but I have never made cheese cake. :) edited by RubyRed on 16/09/2011

Finally made it to level 3. I haven't been doing it everyday as I have been traveling. The treadmill has been my friend. Level 3 is tough! I had the same feeling and almost passed out from working this level. I had the same problem when i started ripped in 30. I am a little scared now. I am going to try again tomorrow but maybe not push so hard. She has a new workout coming in Sept. Almost afraid to try it!

Have you tried ACE hardware? I believe I saw CLR or something similar. I have seen the biggest selection of cleaning products there. Mainly in the Festival City branch.

Sorry ladies...I have not been checking in regularly. I have to be honest in that I have found it hard to workout every day straight But I have been doing it. (just not everyday straight) I did the Shred everyday for 30 days but I found this workout challenging. I find it more intense than the shred as the first day I barely made it through and felt as though I would pass out. (not sure if maybe it was illness on my part) So I am still on week one. I have not watched the entire program as I will face it as it comes. Some of the moves are similar. It is different from the shred because there are 4 programs. She recommends 5 to 6 days a week on each set. I am going to keep at it as I do believe in her workouts. I saw great results from the shred.

Windstar cruises. It was amazing! Food was five star and the rooms were excellent. It was a smaller ship for mainly couples. Only about 130 people on the ship. It sailed into the smaller ports, and they were absolutely beautiful. If you are looking to relax, it is the best cruise line. It was by far our best holiday!

I am finally back to the shred. Been traveling a lot lately which has made it very difficult. I started on Day 1 level 1 today followed by some yoga. Using heavier weights this time around...hoping to make a bigger difference this time around. I was pleased last time with results, but looking to go further this time! On another note, I became a fan of the Jillan page on FB (love her tips). If you get a chance, check it out. Happy Shredding everyone!

We usually do that once a year as my family lives in FL. Usually go EK into JFK New York then Jetblue from JFK to Orlando. Once we get into New York, it's usually a couple of hours layover before getting on the flight to Orlando. It's really not that bad because Jetblue has quite a few flights out of New York to Orlando. If you get in early, Jetblue allows you to standby on the earlier flight to Orlando which makes the wait time less. Hope that helps!

Orlando to Miami is about 4 Hours using the Florida Turnpike. However, I-95 will take you down the coastline. You will have more traffic but you will go through cities and have places to stop along the way. Beach towns, NASA, etc.. I prefer it to the turnpike unless you are in a hurry. If you just want to get there, take the turnpike. It will be less crowded but there is not really anyplace to stop other than a few rest areas along the way for small snacks, bathroom breaks, etc. Personally I don't enjoy Miami, but that is just me. I am not a city person. :) I recommend driving all the way to the Florida Keys/Key West. It's a beautiful drive. Hope that helps! Let me know if I can answer anything else. I grew up in Florida. :) So I will do my best. There are some factory outlets in Orlando, if you are up for shopping :) edited by RubyRed on 17/04/2011

We always use Jet Blue from JFK New York to Orlando. They have the best prices, and if you get in early and they have room on the earlier flight they will let you get on. I would rent a car in Orlando from Enterprise (usually the best deals and will upgrade the car) and drive to Miami. Its a very nice drive and there are cities in between that are beautiful. Orlando is great for kids but I'm not sure about Miami. edited by RubyRed on 17/04/2011 edited by RubyRed on 17/04/2011

Hi Emmaglow. Have you thought about buying used on Dubizzle? We found a great second car on there. We were kind of picky about it. Just make sure the previous owner took care of it. We even had it inspected at the dealership before purchasing, and he released all prior maintenance info to us before we committed to buying. We payed for the inspection but it has been great. As far as eyebrows I always go to the nail spa. There are a few locations in Dubai but I have always has great service. I tend to use the one at the Dubai Mall, but I have also been to the Ibn Battuta branch. Where are you from in the US?

We moved from a 3 bedroom apartment. I think it was around 3000 AED for the move. The company came in the morning @ 9 am. There were 6 people who wrapped and packed our whole place in a few hours. They brought it to the new place, took lunch, unpacked everything and were gone by 5 pm. We did not have to pack a thing. I think they preferred it that way. We did carry our own computers, laptops, cameras or anything else that we felt was irreplaceable to us. That was our choice though. They will even hang your pictures and curtains. However, we decided to do that ourselves. I can't think of the company just now..but when DH gets home I will ask him. Good Luck! Just wanted to add that nothing was broken in the move, and they will let you know while they are packing if there are any damages to plates, frames, etc before they actually pack it. Just to make sure you are aware that it did not happen while they were transporting it. edited by RubyRed on 15/04/2011 edited by RubyRed on 15/04/2011

A Hibachi restaurant?? There is one in the Emirates Towers that is very good but expensive. I really enjoyed it though. I have been to Benihana as well in the Bustan Rotana by the airport. We went on a Sunday, and it was all you can eat Hibachi. I believe they opened another Benihana on JBR but I am not sure. Hope that helps. edited by RubyRed on 09/04/2011

I know someone who lives just outside of Va Beach in Chesapeake. I have visited the past two summers. There were some very beautiful neighborhoods in that area. I will say this traffic is very, very busy in the morning and evening. Just keep in mind the commute from wherever you choose. When you choose a neighborhood/ home I would ask what school the kids in that area go to. It is not always the school that is closest to you. Would you be able to visit before actually moving?

Some kicks up the butt please! WHATEVER! Be careful what you ask for. You just might get it ;) Cyclone T, you only have a few days left until you finish the 30 day shred :) how does it feel? Day 29 completed today. I am waiting until day 30 is over before celebrating :) Congrats to you!! That's wonderful! Sadly I missed yesterday as I could barely get out of bed from not feeling well...but I forced myself to do it today. Just finished Level 2 Day 2. I find myself following Anita a little as it's more difficult. Hoping my endurance builds up for this level quickly.

I think most people generally do 10 days each, but I believe in the beginning of level one she just says move on when you are ready. Thank you Ruby Red!! Now is it okay to skip a few days or does that beat the purpose ? Your Welcome :-) I think it works best to do the workout daily, and thats the way Jillian Michaels designed it to be. But I guess it would depend on your goals and what you are trying to accomplish. I think doing it daily helps to build strength and endurance. It also helps to have a routine. I do my best to make sure it gets done everyday. I think I missed one day. My goal is to continue after the 30 days but alternate between the levels or do 2 levels at one time. Hope that helps! Good Luck!
