We considered Bethany Beyond Jordan, but our guide said it was a waste of time because there is only a very small bit where you can see the water, which is stangnant....If im not wront it's on route to the dead sea, so you could stop in, but I dont think you will be spending much time there. The dead sea is about 45 minutes from Amman, if you ask at your hotel, they should be able to provide a driver, alternatively taxi's are quite cheap.

If you are only going for the weekend, then you wont have enough time to see all that Jordan has to offer. We stayed in the Al Qasr metropole hotel which was clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. From amman you can do day trips to Jerash or the dead see, but I would also recommend a day tip to Petra.

Its unbelievable all the wierd and inventive lengths someone will go to to scam people. Unfortunately there are still quite a few people who fall for it... Glad its been removed. :)

Thats fantastic news! There's not many loast animls that get reunited with their owners. I have another theory on how he may have gotten to Safa though..... One day I was doing the flyover by the police college, and from underneath the car infront of me a cat came rolling out... Luckily he rolled onto the hard shoulder and ran off the road rather than into it. I pulled over as soon as the barrier finished and ran back to find him. After calling a few vets, we found the owner who as it turns out lived by the Jumeirah post office. This poor cat was obviously up in the car somewhere and managed to hang on all the way to Al Barsha before losing his grip/strength and falling out.

I have a friend who lives there, she is very happy. They have a good gym, as well as sauna and steam room (seperate for male and female), of course a swimming pool too. There is a grocery in the building too. HTH

Hello From Dubai :) A friend of mine lives in Doha and she has recently found a kitten who she is hoping to find a home for. As she is relatively new to Qatar she doesnt know where to start. I know how it works here in Dubai, but I don't know about Qatar. Sha has tried with Cats in Qatar, but there already have a very long waiting list. Any information on what she can do would be much appreciated :)

Thanks! Thats more like it! I didn't bother looking at their website as I have looked at so many that don't seem to provide basic info, they all want you to speak to their sales reps who then harass you every day. I will go see them first thing after the weekend....I feel a bit better now :)

Im at my wits end...been trying to open a company bank account, its impossible! It seems the banks in Dubai dont cater to small businesses. ADCB requires a 50,000dhs minimum balance. HSBC wont look at you unless you have a 3 million turn over. If you have a bank account for a small business I would love to hear from you.... TIA

We usually go camping in the desert with a big group of friends. Its definitly the cheapest option, and no one has to worry about how they are going to get home.....we love it! I think all the hotels' events are just a rip off!

Yes, cats definitly prefer moving water, all 3 of mine come running if I even look towards the sink...Have recently bought a water fountain for them, and I find they are drinking a lot more. Also, forgot to mention that cats also prefer to drink away from their food bowl. edited by Sabrina H on 21/11/2011

You definilty wont find anywhere that will do it for free, however they do vary in price, so you could call round the vets and see what each charges. Some vets will do a group discount, around 10-20% Males are cheaper than females of course, however both are equally as important to do. Also, if they are strays, you could try to call some of the cat charities and see if they can autorize their cheaper rates at their preferred vets. Which ever way you decied to go, I would definitly recommend you do it, there are endless benefits for the cats, and for you. If you can't affort to do them all at the same time, then maybe you could do one a month to spread out the cost.

Maybe thats another perk a gold class ticket buys.....the right to do what you want! Unfortunately thats not so uncommon, some people have complete disregards for others, as long as they are happy. You should make an official complaint as it seems strange that the Metro staff are not allowed to say anything, why are they there then?

I believe on the form it says the tick and tapeworm treatment has to be done [u'>[/u'>with in [u'>[/u'> 48 hours, so you can do it one day before too. The only problem is that your vet (not the cargo village vet) has to do the tick and worm treatment, and then sign and stamp the form. If the kennels have a vet that is able to do the deworming and frontline, and give you a health certificate to say the dogs are healthy and fit to travel, then you dont even have to take them to the cargo viallge until they fly.

They are open 24 hours so you can go whenever suits you. I do have a few tips though. you will need an E-dirham card* which you can buy at the main karama post office (there are two types so make sure you get the one without the chip) You will need to charge the card with the amount money before you leave the post office. (not sure how much you will need though, but I believe its 210dhs per animal. * Last time a friend of mine got the wrong card but the vet was happy to accept cash instead, the last time I went, the vet REFUSED to take cash, so if you have nothing better to do, you could go down there with cash and hope that he takes it. Worst case scenario, you will have to make another trip without the dogs) You will aslo need copies of everything, pets vaccination books, you passport and visa. Hope this helps, and good luck :)

Hi Lucky_me To take your dog to France is actually quite simple as there are no quarantine laws. You will need the following: - Vaccinations no more than 11 months old, but at least 30 days old. - A microchip. - Dowload the french/english health certificate which will also need to be signed by the vets at the cargo village. - 10 days before travel you will need to get a health certificate from the vets at the cargo village. At the same time they will give you an export permit. (You will need to apply for the import permit at the same time if you plan to bring her back) - Book the flight and off you go :)

"Rera has not had any complaint in this regard, but tenants who face such demands should head to Rera and submit complaints. Our team will investigate the cases," I would complain to RERA and see what happens, maybe you'll get it back, but if not at least the dodgy agent will get a telling off!

I think finding the owner will be very difficult. If the owner wants him/her back then Im sure they will put up some notices on the supermarket notice boards, vets or dubizzle. I would try looking there, and if you have no luck, then put him up for adoption on dubizzle. HTH

If the paint is not damaged where the bump is, then you could try paintless dent removal. Yellow hat does this. Also, if the scratches are not deep, it might be possible to polish them out. Again, yellow hat can do this. HTH

We go to the beach next to Jebal Ali Hotel, by the Jebal Ali Palm... the water is calm and great for beginners. There isnt a ramp to launch the boat/Jetski, but its easy enough to just drive it into the water, everyone does it. You can rent Jetski's at mamzar I believe, but im not sure if you can wakeboard there.

What about tryig th Mini dealer? I've usually had good experiences with AAA Garage in Al Quoz (round the corner from Max Garage) However since the last manager left it's gone a bit down hill. Can't really go wrong with replacing the window mechanism though.

Past the airport follow signs to Al Kawaneej. You'll go straight at the the Academic Road r/about (still heading to Kawaneej) and see signs for the Vet Section on your right. If you get as far as Mushrif Park you've gone too far! Good luck. Actually they are exactly 1KM [u'>after[/u'> the mushrif park :)

You might want to give them a quick call as they might be closing early for Eid. (Heard the government sector is getting 9 days) Also, I wouldnt go there for anything kind of treatment/diagnosis. Vaccinations are Ok, not too much can go wrong with that!
