Ive just completed an application myself and as we are overseas I had to use form C1, as I understand the forms are sent to Germany, but our passports are still processed in the UK and sent to Germany then onto us. ON the C1 form it does say that if you want to apply in the UK you need to you form SE1.

Thanks SalsB. What's the Gratis card? And how do you get it? I made a slight error, its Gratzia!!! ive looked on the internet, asked DD to ask her mate at work as she has one, will let you know as soon as. Apparently you apply for the card online. A discount card that gives 20% off all clothes, sounds good to me.

How awful, it must have really hurt. Some poeople really are stupid/selfish. Initially It did not hurt, but when I was able to have a better look at the hospital It made me feel quite sick. But Im a brave little soldier!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you at least get an apology? That's so dangerous and careless if you'd come to my house I'd be apologizing profusely and paying the 1600. Well she kind of said sorry, but very half hearted!!!! I will just put it down to a very bad experience. I did threaten to charge the maid, and would of given the money to charity.

I did say to Maam, that the maid should pay the 1600dhs bill, she stood there and said she is on minimum wage. The building Manager is aware of the problem, but he isnt that bothered either. I had my tetanus today. I was that annoyed I picked the bag up and threw it down the chute, an after thought my friend went back and got the other bags, which contained broken glass bowl and wine glasses. I am so angry, really put me out as I was off to FF at the open day and I knew they were short staffed. If anything I'm so glad it wasn't a child hurt today.

My dear gran had her op in her late eighties, they make you get out of bed and start mobilizing asap. Hope all goes well and you get the care required. As for who is paying for the operation itself it's not our business to ask, the OP was purely asking for advise.

I wouldn't tolerate this at all. You have a right to piece and quiet as everyone else. Kids shouldnt be playing in the corridors, how inconsiderate of your neighbours to think this is ok. Make a complaint to the building manager.

It's only 7 hours between your first and last post SalsB - perhaps the OP isn't monitoring the responses as often as you are? Passport needs to be issued on renewal and new ID's, typing centres dont do the typing there and then, so they need to keep it, even thou they have no rights, and you can argue your corner. If by change you get everything done on the day, you dont need to leave your passport with them.

Not sure if you plan to pay cash or get a mortgage, but you wont be able to leave Dubai in the future without paying your debts off, If you cant then its a trip to Dubai Hilton. You also dont get automatic rights to abode here either. My hubby is in construction and has said they arent built to last, you have no guarantees if there are major faults to, unlike the UK where you have a 10 year warranty. I know the maintenance fees are very expensive. This my opinion, there has been many posts this this before, have a look thru, I know people have purchased properties here, some have had no problems but others have.

My Hubby went to Al Barsha to renew, and they said he had to do the finger printing again and his photo's. Im not sure if they are doing the ID process on renewing the visa, Hubby's company PRO is excellent and they never mentioned about renewing ID. I looked at the website last week and the page hadn't been updated since last October, how are we suppose to keep upto date with Government charges. Oh no, so we have to go through the whole process again? Our company arranged everything and we had the VIP service but it still took the whole morning with travelling etc. I didnt realise they did the VIP for ID, I know they do it for Visa renewal!!!

I was at work and my Hubby rang me to say the towers had collapsed, he didnt know anything else at the time, I couldnt wait to rush home, turned the TV on, couldnt believe what I was seeing, it was something from a movie. Reality sunk in, and cried and cried, probably one of the most saddess moments ever.
