I dont tend to freeze much here, I go and buy daily, and alot of meat has already been frozen, I urge anyone pregnant to ensure that nothing has been pre frozen and double check with the shop.

Try and pop to the pet shop or vet and pick up kitten milk, im not sure baby formula will be suitable.

I was up that way last weekend visiting a friend, we just couldnt find our way to her, sign posts are random, and it was even worse when the taxi couldnt find me to take me home, he got lost leaving the area. My friends villa is quite big thou, with a lovely spacous garden.

My cats eat Royal canin and Iams, I have it delieved thru Petfood Dubai same price as the vets and pet shops. Basically it can be expensive to have a pet, but all so worth it. I buy their toys from places like Geant.

Moo Moo hasnt gone yet, but If and when she does I will be on a plane to the Channel islands to see her, she wont get rid of me so quickly, ha I know she is still here-was just saying I won't like saying goodbye-all the good ones go home! Me loves Moo Moo I will be very sad to see her go, she's one of the good ones. A forever friend. xx

I do find pet shops here distress me somewhat. We had to alert a petshop in Mirdiff there was a dead rabbit, they didnt batter an eyelid.

Im not one for man handling other people's kids, but on occasion whilst queueing for exmaple I do tend to chat to the LO's in the trolleys, and maybe let them grab my finger whilst trying to talk to them, Is this so wrong!!!! I wouldnt want to offend anyone by doing this.

If its anything like Dubai dont go thru your bank to do it, use a an exchange. Rates arent as good as before, but Ive seen worse. I use UAE Exchange, money gets to the UK within 2 days, they charge about 10 pounds.

I havent been on a Costa, never fancied it really, Ive been on the Carnivals thou, get spoilt rotten. We have been looking at the cruise from Venice, looks good. Not booked yet, Hubby hasnt had his holiday signed off yet.

He has popped out to get his hair cut, and get me a birthday card for a friend, then off a brunch. I love Friday's. Oooh, where are you going for brunch? I'm making it my life's work to brunch round Dubai - starting again when I've lost 10 kilos :( We off to Al Marooj Rotana, sitting indoors thou, to warm for outside. You should try brunching I love it, hate stopping in on a Friday.

Sometimes he wont admit he is wrong!!!!! I booked his car in for service, he rang me tonight to order him a taxi, I asked where in DIP he was, he said there isnt a road name!!!!!!!!!!!! we argued slightly, how on earth can I send a taxi If I dont know exactly where he is!!!!!!!!!! yesterday I did offer to give him the taxi number and asked him to get a map of internet so he could organise the taxi himself. MEN!!!!! a gun would be helpful sometimes, lol

Taking antibiotics for a virus wont make you any better. I agree to many chemists hand them out like sweets. I only take medication as a last resort. Flu will run its course, take flu remedies, rest and drink plenty of fluids. Flue can take upto 10 days to clear.

SalsB the Airmiles are worth almost nothing. i.e u need hundreds of thousands before u can exchange them for an over toaster. I personally use the Emirates NBD Dnata Platinum credit card that gets me Dnata points, one dnata point is worth AED1/ which I can then spend like cash, for tickets on over 135 airlines. Am v happy wid it. I wouldnt say they are worth nothing, over the last 2 years Ive just saved and saved the points, recently I got 2 free return tickets to the UK, not bad going.

I always buy from the UK and change them all the time from Dubai, it costs me 75 quid. Sorry to hijack op but sals how do you book your open ticket? Do you call emirates uk? I want to get singles back to uk then buy a ticket to hk with a stopover in dxb in august then go onto hk maybe in october? Then return to uk next year. Should I be asking for an open ticket and accept I will have to pay 75quid for each change? Or get my butt into gear and sort proper dates so i don't have to change them? Now I always purchase from BHX to DBX. It normally works out half price compared to buying here. My tickets I buy arent open, hence, I pay the 75 quid charge If I need to change the date.

I've got the Emirates Islamic Bank credit card... it's been only a month but it seems to be all good so far *touch wood* I left HSBC for EIB because I wasn't getting much out of the airmiles to be honest. SalsB, where did you get those surveys from? I get the reward points with, www.e-rewards.ae
