The best thing majority of cars on the road are driven by expats arent they!!!!!!!!!!!! Indeed. The BMW guy was a westerner The Nissan Armada was a western woman The Honda was Filapino Porsche didn't get a good look but highly doubt he was Indian or Filapino and would have noticed if he was a local so that doesn't leave much else except a westerner. Ive spoken to friends and their moto is "If you cant beat them join em" not sure its the way to go, this is why I wont drive here.

I hear car breaking all the time, cant believe what goes on out there, cars driving up the wrong way, doing U turns on dual carriage ways, motorbikes mounting curbs so they do have to drive down to the next exit. The list can go on!!!!!!!!!!! The best thing majority of cars on the road are driven by expats arent they!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks ladies. Yup, all this groundwork is so that I can do everything the legal way. Don't wish to get into anything fishy. I'm wondering how freelance writers and photographers work - the lagal ones. I'm looking at taking some freelance design consultation projects, as I've been approached for these but like I said, don't want to start anything till I am allowed to and have all the licenses etc in place. SalsB, do you have TashaB's email id? Or do you know her personally so maybe you can tell her about this thread? I'm sure she'll have some valuable info. Can I ask!!! why do maids sit in coffee shops with their employer and never have a drink in front of them, its the same in restaurants, I just couldnt sit and see my maid ( if I had one )have nothing, really does puzzle me. Can anyone tell me why. <em>edited by salsB on 24/01/2011</em>

I wonder if you get the same type of heat like Dubai, I would imagine so. Here in Dubai its not so much the heat, but humidity, we see tempatures forcast at 46degrees, but our car temp has been higher. I tend to stay indoor in the daytime and go shopping at night, Ive been known to get my OH to take me in the car. The only way I can describe is, we cant wait to get the air con running. As for when the heat kicks in, I wished I did montor it, but always forget, I know im May here it did reach over 40, no humidity thou. Best months are from November to April. Hope this helps. Edited, I had my little ones over in August, spend alot of time at the pool, especially in the shade, they did say all the time why is it hot, plenty of ice lollies and ice cream did the trick. <em>edited by salsB on 23/01/2011</em>

I always found 1st mum's to be always buy far to much, its not till you have your second baby you cut back. I just love baby clothes, so I would buy my kiddies loads.

I havent changed in personality, ok maybe we are slightly spoilt, what with all the great places to eat out on a weekend, instead of lazing abut on a sofa watching TV ( in UK I mean). I've always loathed shopping, dont do pedi's and mani's much, dont go for massages, found that no one can cut my hair. I do think we live the simple life, similar to bk home, but we have a completely different approach to life when the weekends come around. If anything we dont go on holiday like we used to. Only had one holiday in 2.5 years, whereas back home we would of been away at least 6 times by now. I havent changed and people back home would say the same. I have met the odd person that sits and talks with a plum in its mouth, once afew drinks have past the mouth, out comes the kippers and curtains, lol

Check under the sale sticker as you may find the price was already lower beofre the sale began, happened to me a few times. I was in Mothercare to buy my grand daughter's clothes ready for her to come over next month, a pair of skinny jeans 130dhs, What!!!!!!!!!! decided to buy her clothes in the UK, Next are better quality and alot cheaper, Dubai is just a rip off!!!!!!!!!! full stop.

I sit my mum on the balcony give her a drink and her cigarettes, check on her often to make sure she hasnt over heated, feed her sometimes and throw her into bed at night. She's happy. lol

My wardrobe is full of clothes that dont fit me, but I really dont want a clear out, always praying that I will get back into them. Funny enough today I thought I would be brave and try on some stuff I havent worn in a long time, and found jeans to fit. I am on a diet, so it must be working. Maybe just take a good look at your clothes see if you want to recylce some to make room for some new ones.

Ive spent the last 3 years in open toes slip on and flip flops most of the time, and whenever I put a pair of shoes on to go out on an evening my feet kill me, I have blisters etc, I do think our feet change shape. I swear by Clark shoes, you cant go wrong.

Rotana Al Murooj is great, 199 includes alcohol! my favorite... I second this brunch too, do love it there, sitting out on the patio, very good in supplying the beverages, food is very good, brilliant value.

Sorry ladies for taking so long!! The kitten is fully white with blue eyes. I still didnt get a picture of him/her. We are trying to get the kitten from the owners as they don't need him/her. The kitten lives outside since 1 moths old. They dont want this poor baby and at the same time they dont want someone to have it. The kitten is around 2-3 months old. A bit lean. Hopefully they will agree to give him away or we will ask to sell him to us. The kitten is very friendly to people and other animals. I would keep him/her myself but right now I have 8 cats. Why would they want paying for a cat they dont want, and I thought it was illegal to sell pets privately.
