Im not saying my parents did a bad job, but I did feel I wanted my children to be able to come to me with any problem, my one DD has always shared everything with me, my other was more shy, but when she fell pregnant she knew she could turn to me. Ive always been around to listen to the kids. All teenagers have some issues and I felt abit let down as I was growing up, I suppose I wanted the opposite for my kids.

I am fully aware alot labourers are away from family, this does not give the excuse to go out and rape a poor innocent woman. These type of people are mentally impaired, obviously they dont think and feel like normal human beings, no excuses for their disgusting behaviour. For the people that do rotten cruel things to children, well thats a different ball game. I say Off with their heads!!!

I can't say I see british meat here. Maybe due to people have the long term memories of mad cows. I find scottish beef lovely, and always loved Australia meat great too. Not sure about English meat thou. I just done find found bk in the UK temping at all, everytime I go back I kinda starve. Maybe its because ive become spoilt here.

If a westerner then just call Sir, HRH or Sheik. LOL I was told by a friend who use to work for Sheikh Mo and family, that it should be Your Highness, with no "Royal". I have never seen any of them, only the white merc with the no.1 plate crusing around. Hoping it will happen one day. Sh Mo sold his No1 plate for charity.

I complained to a hotel lifeguard about a thong wearing woman at the pool. I'm not Muslim and I'm not a prude, but I was offended as was a Muslim woman at the pool with her two kids. The lifeguard told me he wouldn't say anything to the young woman because she was Iranian. Huh? Don't understand that response, but I do understand that she'd be in a heck of a lot of trouble if news (or heaven forbid a pic) of her attire ever got back to Iran! I wonder how anyone would know what nationality someone is by looking at them!!!! maybe the lifeguard knew her personally. He did after he'd seen her in a thong!!! I had my fingers smacked on here recently because I said someone looked foreign!!!!!!!! make sure I dont make the same mistake again!!!!!! lol

As we are here for a few months and still renting a car on a monthly basis, we are thinking about longterm SUV Lease or buying... but as we don't have enough cash here in Dubai, we are thinking about a car loan. But when reading your post regarding frozen accounts .... I am thinking, why are so many expats take out a car loan here instead of leasing? Sure the money is gone, but isn't it safer? I mean you don't have to sell a car, when you finish your contract here or loose your job. You don't have to sell a car possibly for a low price... Is it really so often that banks freeze accounts? Sometimes it seems without good reason... Leasing is expensive and like many of us took out loans as our jobs seemed so secure till the crash in late 2008.

Do not use gum or patches instead of smoking. They will still release nicotine into your body and thus hinder the blood flow into the placenta. Your baby will not get enough flood, nutrients etc. They might work for people who just mind the smelly smoke. But if you're pregnant, it's actually the nicotine that is harmful for the baby, not so much the smoke!!! Hope you'll see the embryo and the heartbeat on ultrasound and that it helps you to give up the cigaretts completely! Cheer the OP up why dont ya!!!!!!!!!!

I told my mum about the dirty old man down stairs from grans, ( I was about 11 at the time ) she waved the conversation away, later in life I re told the story and she couldnt even remember me even mentioning it. So No I didnt really confide. My dad was always away working, or having his couple of pints.

A friend of mine found her husband had joined a dating site, so she made a profile with a drop dead gorgeous photo she found online and chatted him up. Convinced him to fly from Brisbane to Perth for a hot weekend. She watched as her pathetic excuse of a husband made excuses about having to travel for work over the weekend and he got on a plane to Perth, only of course there was no one at the airport to meet him like he expected. She was too busy at home reporting his atm cards as stolen so he had no access to any money for a hotel room etc. He is now her ex. Revenge can be so sweet!!!!!!!!! good on your friend, around of applause to her!!!!!!!!!

Its a very sad state but we cant blame the banks. It was only 2 weeks ago I was told of a chap that jumped ship as he was offered a job outside the UAE, he max'd his card and applied for aloan and got it, he withdrew all the money and did a runner. Alot of money I may add. As this was pre meditated, shocking, how does this chap sleep at night.

If she is prepaid you can send her credit via SMS or if you buy a vouchers she can enter it as usual but using +971 first and both will top up immediately. If you buy it from the Etisalat machines it can take a day or so for it to transfer. HTH She pay as you go!!!! does this make a difference??

Resolution for New Year: No alcohol. Still going. Was a social drinker - roughly 3-4 units per week. But decided to actually give it up. And feeling really great. I wouldnt think 3-4 units aweek would have a massive effect, you dont really have anything to give up. ;)

I know a young lady that went for an interview, she got the job, but she is very slim attractive and fits their criteria. All the other ladies that work in the office are all slim, attractive etc.
