I have 2 booster seats for when the kids come over, and the age on them is from 3 years old!!!! now im confused, are they safe?????? Personally I wouldn't use a booster for a 3 year old. My 2 grand children are 4 and 6, so the seat should be ok, do you think. Grand daughter coming soon, yippee. Yay for the grand kids coming! But for the boosters, it's more about how tall they are (not their age). They should sit in booster seats until the top of the seatbelt (shoulder belt) is laying directly across their bodies (like on adults) -- opposed to across their necks or under their armpits. Hope that makes sense. THe booster will def be fine for my grand daughter, she turns 7 just before she comes, cannot wait.

What we believe to be normal wear & tear doesnt mean the LL has the same view. Anything to get money from us. I would personalyl leave the villa the same as when I moved in. A previous LL made some comments when we moved out, all I said to him was when I moved in it was s*** hole, the fridge even had stale molding food in there, milk carton dated back 4 months, the place was filthy. I just stuck to my guns, he had to give in.

@Adviseseeker, Ok we are all entitled to our opinion, but we dont run to a newspaper everytime something negative is posted. As for maid's yes they do get some bad press, but some of it is well deserved.

Hubby has relented, and I am now allowed to foster :D Criteria would be pups only as we have a household of other animals (and children) and we'd have a better chance of socializing small pups than grown dogs. It has to be on a temporary basis while forever homes are found, this is a non negotiable from hubby ( i do hope to wear him down eventually, but for now I had better not abuse his good faith) So there you go, let me know when I'm needed Brilliant news, good on you, x

I work as a volunteer for FF I know we are full to capacity at the moment, but will try and have a word, how old are the cats, I am so tempted as I also have 2 persians, one kitten siamese and a lovely foster cat called Jake at the moment. If I can get Jake rehomed I would then consider fostering for the OP. I will be taking Jake to the open day on 22nd Jan, hoping he will have a new forever home as he is so gorgeous.

Would probably stay put for a while, as I know its quite bleak in the UK, and whether DH wages would be the same as before we left, He would have work away from home and after years of him doing it, he wouldnt really want to.

Did you look at Green Community? Is there a good bus service from there now? If you don't drive I would not consider Green Community although I personally love it there but I drive. Meadows, Springs, Arabian Ranches, Lakes would all tick your boxes. We are in Arabian Ranches and there's a superb community feel - great having the golf club too like a local pub! There is a bus service from GC to Ibn Mall now, runs every 15mins I think.

does anyone know about a new nursery opened in MotorCity. I met the owners in Starbucks in October and took the number but have lost it. It was not called a nursery but a "child enrichment centre?" My Ex LL is the owner, I can get the number for you via a friend who know Mr AD well.

The Children's Garden has mostly western staff, they have a nursery at Green Community DIP, and another one in Jumierah.
