I do hope you find one. I have curly hair and found nobody that can cut it properly. It was the same back home, so I have now given up. Good luck, let me know if you find a decent hairdresser.

It basically takes a new baby 12 weeks to even sleep in a reasonable sleep pattern, 45 days is just not enough!!!!! no matter where you live. Maternity leave should be alot longer, I do feel for all the new mom's that only get 45 days.....

Ive also done a caribbean cruise with Ocean Village, a 14 nighter, seen 12 islands in 14 days, unfortunately they sold out and now only cover Australia under a different name I think. Ive been on Carnival Victory. I have also been a a Celebrity Solstice ( this one to singapore ). I have done bargain cruises to the Caribbean and the more expensive ships. I cannot fault any of them, great value for money, food is so out of this world. I would cruise back to the Caribbean any day, shame we live to far at the minute to even consider it. I would deff recommend....

Hi there, there are some nice apartments across from Mega Mart just across the road & behind the "Bazaar" shop. Sorry I can't remember the name of the building. We looked at a nice 2 bdrm with a balcony. It is best to go around personally & ask in person. Good luck. Merzam Residence? If so I am already living there and want to move from apartment living.

Riva on the palm is 100 each, but I'm so sure it's more on a Friday. Really don't think you will find a pool day on a weekend at the price you quoted.

I'm sure this may not help, but, when I was in transit in Paris, they wouldn't let fluids thru!!! Really mind boggling on how duty free have any sales!!! I was there at Xmas and they took shampoo, conditioners and any purchased liquids from Dubai DF off the lady in front of me I was told not to take anything from DF through in transit as it would be taken off me I bought my grand daughter some floavoured water whilst in transit, and they took it of her too. Its just so annoying, we already had gone thru security, so why would they take liquids away, i even showed them the receipt!!!! mind just boogles!!!!

It was South Male Atoll, we only went for 4 nights, but the water villa cos us about 1200 per night for 2 of us. We even upgraded to business class. The beach bungalows were cheaper, so it was quite a bargain, even those the island we went to was lovely, didnt think to much of the food. Still a bargain.

Yes it does, with the new extension it has one as you pass immigration, and the other is up at the old part of the terminal. Thank you - does it sell 'liquids' do you know? Oh yes!!!! lol Brilliant - thank you!! I just remember a terminal some 5 years with hardly nothing!! I know for sure the dutyfree in the old part sell liquids, as I always grunt out loud, as I cant buy any due to flying into Qatar. The duty free in arrivals at T2, is a kiosk type shop, not a massive range. edited by salsB on 04/08/2013

We have all given our opinions, I am quite sure men/ woman can have opposite *** as friends. I once worked with a team of 21 men, we used to go on jollys a lot, some of my work colleagues were gems, never any funny business, so yes we probably can have friends of the opposite ***. As mentioned its trust. Both my hubby and I have never been in this situation, but I would trust him with my best friend, if he was to meet up with her, no questions asked. It's all about personal situation, and I do hope you haven't become over stressed to what has been said on this thread. Good luck and chin up, big hugs to you. X

Last time I was there was December 2000, we enjoyed it, but haven't been back since, so I think there are plenty other places to go to and safer. I personally do not consider Goa a safe place, always be accompanied by a male, and if you have kids, especially in their teens, I would watch them like a hawk. I had to be my 17 year old DD's body guard. Thinking back it was a nightmare!!!! We also went to south Goa, that was much quieter and more secluded than The North. Again this was afew years back.

Just asked my hubby, if he would mind me having a male friend, to have coffee with, lunch and or dinner, I cannot repeat his reply!!!! Hubby doesn't have female friends, never has done, so if he was to say now, this just wouldn't happen, I would be suspicious if he ever wanted a platonic relationship with any female.

The UK sell the full range in their Quality street selection, it's different in Arab countries due to the gelatine content. This is what I've been told anyway.

Thanks for the info Sals... the property manager has OK'd but said as much, that it shouldn't be a problem if he's quiet. Our dog is quiet (although he can snore louder than my husband!!) but I worry about people complaining simply about his presence when we go to walk him. It's such a great area for taking walks! Don't worry then, you will be fine, I'm sure. How much are the rents these days?? We had a one bed in 2008, 125,000 one cheque. Jeez it has gone down considerably. For a one-bedroom, 75,000 over 2 checks. I've seen others hovering around 80,000-85,000. Did it have a pool?? We forgot to ask... saw them but thought it could belong to the gym. No pool, I joined fitness first to use the pool.

I lived there awhile back, at this time, I think they turned a blind eye, but if any pet was to cause any kind of nuisance, then I suppose you will be asked to remove your pet. I know someone who lives there now and her dog makes a right racket, her neighbours aren't too happy. Best o ask the management company or LL.

JBR To JLT isn't far, no way you can walk it in the summer. It all depends what cluster your hubby will be working in. There are two enclosed metro bridges that cross the SZR, but JLT is quite a large area. Taxi's are very cheap, that would be my preferred way to get to work. Marina is a nice place to live too. I lived there for 18 months, also lived in JLT FOR 12 months. EW arrange coffee mornings for you to meet up with other expats.

have heard we are accountable if we try to help, so in theory, you pass someone in desparate need and we have to keep walking??? CPR can save someones life!!! How stressful for a passer by see someone in need of assistance, we cannot do anything to help them!!!! so backward in this neck of the woods.
