You can block these texts. This definitely works for Du (and I believe it is the same number for Etisilat) but you need to send a text to 7726 with 'B sender's name'. So, if you want to block XYZ, text B XYZ to 7726. To unblock it, text U XYZ to 7726. You have to type in the name exactly as they have. I don't know if I have explained this very well but I hope it helps. Thanks for the tip.. I think i've received about 20 more sms's since i posted

Hello, Unfortunately, I have strawberry legs. For those who don't know what this is, click here: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-eWjeac1U3kA/UgPuCgHNlnI/AAAAAAAAAcY/J6XlNLP9IxE/s320/strawberry+legs.jpeg I hope the image helped in understanding what I have on my legs. Is there a way to get rid of this for good? Please help! I'm quite desperate to get rid of them and have smooth shiny legs, instead of bumpy spotty ones. Thanks so much :) PS: Don't worry, I don't shave my legs, I wax them regularly using fruit wax at the salon :) It's actually a condition called Keratosis Pilaris; i have the same on my arms...and tried everything but nothing seems to work :(

In my opinion, motor city is the best one; you can easily find a 4 bedroom for that price. Great finishing, lots of parks and amenities. Jumeirah park still has lots of issues (plumbing/electrical...) and not many facilities.

Morning, I need to buy new car seats - where is the best place? I know what I want and ideally would just order them for delivery. And I need to do something about my hair. It is blonde, fine, highlighted, generally a bit rubbish so need somewhere that isn't going to have a nervous breakdown because they are used to dealing with amazingly thick, dark, healthy and glorious hair! Thanks so much Hi! For the car seat. babyshop, they even install them for you. Hair, try Katie at Beauty Spot in Umm Suqeim..

There is no proper screening done; they get the nannies from Dubizzle and other forums.. Half of the maids don't show up for the interview..i (sadly) used the service a few years ago and it was a complete waste of time and money...

I would recommend you start with a facial; Don't use any exfoliation while you have blemishes as it will only irritate your skin and might make it worse.. Instead, try a purifying or hydrating mask 2 to 3 times a week. You definitely need to hydrate your skin day and night, there are so many brands out there, you just have to find one that works for you. Personally i love Absolution, Darphin, Decleor, Sisley and Erno Laszlo.

Hello Ladies, Looking for a little bit go help here. I am desperately trying to find salon quality hair color at a beauty supply shop. I do not want the boxed sets that have everything included (something you get in spinny, waitrose etc..) , but rather I'm looking for individual tubes to mix with my 10 volume. Back in the states there a place called Sally Beauty Supply, and I am just wondering if there is anything like that here where I can buy without a license. Ideally i would be able to get in Dubai, but I'm not going to turn down a trip to AD if needed. You're help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks :-) Try Madi international, they have Wella professional color..

I wish my LO was growing up in Europe. Dubai is maybe a good place for babies and toddlers in terms of entertainment, but definitely not in terms of climate. Climate and AC air are quite unhealthy here, my LO was suffering from asthma between ages 2 and 3, despite no cases in the family. I also notice elder children are spoiled and misbehaved. The abundance of toy shops, play areas and fun activities make them crave for more and more and if you choose not to buy a new toy every week, they question you why their friends get more then they do, get envious. Parents of some cultures here also don't care much how their kids behave in public and the society is generally much more tolerant to what children do than in Europe, so be prepared your kid is going to acquire some bad habits. And the last but not least, raising children in Dubai is very expensive. School fees, transportation, afterschool activities are all private and get more and more expensive each year. Check carefully your school allowance and school prices before you decide to relocate. I know everything I mentioned might seem far away for a mom of a 9 months old, but time flies. you cannot blame children 's behaviour on culture...That's just plain ignorant..

I've lived in the Palm for several years now, and only once was there traffic-new year's eve 2013 (Fire works world record) I don't find it more "smelly" then any other neighborhoods in Dubai.. And construction is pretty much all over Dubai, but not a big issue in the Palm.

Hi Tessa, There is a lot of traffic in JBR and sometimes difficult to find a taxi ( especially evenings and weekends) same in Dubai Marina.. Jumeirah 3 is very close to Mall of the Emirates, 5 to 10 minutes at the most. If you are looking for a beach front location, then i really recommend Palm Jumeirah; don't know about the villas but the apartments are really nice and spacious. Most buildings have beach access ( apart from Golden Mile) And access is really easy in and out. Also lots if beach clubs.

I just happened to be looking out of the Window over the Palm towards The Atlantis (on Friday afternoon) when from nowhere, what looked like a ball of fire appeared in the sky above the Atlantis!!! It was bright and yellowy White, looked like a slightly jagged edged ball and appeared stationary! It was only there for a matter of seconds before it got smaller & smaller and then disappeared!!! I couldn't see any tail to it and it looked literally like a bright, up close star/ball of fire!! It was way to high above the Atlantis to be something from the hotel and I immediately looked for a plane or a helicopter close by to see if it was light reflected etc but there was nothing there!! It was the strangest thing to see in daylight and I caught myself almost looking round to see if anyone else was in the room to witness it! Unfortunately my husband was looking the other way and by the time I'd eliminated all of the possibilities in my mind of what it could be it had dissipated and gone!!! I stood staring for moments after still thinking I could rationalise what it was yet feeling a little weirded out. When I asked my husband if he'd seen it too......... He looked at me like I was barking mad! Haha he's probably right but I'd love to know if anyone else saw it. Yes!! I was wondering what it was.. So strange; something similar happened in the US a few days ago, and they said they were testing missiles...but the one over the palm really looked like a meteorite..

Hi ladies, my 6 yr old son has had runny/blocked nose for 5 months. He was absolutely fine before this and has never had health problems. No fever or any signs of illness. An ENT specialist gave him Aerius (antihistamine) to take which helps a bit but the bottle is finished and I don't want to start him on another without knowing what he is allergic to and what are all the treatment options. Has anyone had this issue? Can anyone please recommend a good ENT/allergist? Shall I take him to a general allergist? Also my 11 yr old daughter has started breaking out in a rash (raised long bumps) ONLY on her back and ONLY sometimes like once in 10 days and ONLY in the night before going to bed. Cant find any links between what she had for dinner those nights and the rash disappears quickly when I give her an antihistamine. Any ideas what this could be? Have you checked his Adenoids.. They could be the cause of Chronic Sinusitis. I highly recommend Dr. Baghat.

I am not going to try to convince you, but when you do decide on a school you should let us know which one, so we can make sure our children are not placed in the same. If your child is vaccinated, why would you be scared of a non-vaccined kid? Because maybe her child has a younger sibling who isn't; You can still catch the disease even if you had the vaccination, but in milder form..

Am looking to gift a facial treatment to my friend for her wedding. Suggest a good treatment micro derma abrasion is always a good one, skin looks tight and amazing afterwards. i went to a spa in the fairmont hotel for it, cant remember the name, the therapist was super sweet Be very careful where you get that done; i would stay 90% of staff in a spa are not licensed a d dont have the proper background. They are usually trained by the skin are brands. Micro-dermabrasion should only be done by a dermatologist and definitely not before a wedding. For a good facial try Beauty Spot on Al wasl road, i've been going there for 8 years, the same therapist, her name is Clea and she is an actual licensed esthetician. And no, i do not work there! :-)
