Hi everyone. My contract expire at 04.02.2014 By term if I wish to renew contract upon expiry I should sent notice 2 mounth advance. Unfortunately I miss this date . As written in my contract - any delay in the renewal will attract a penalty or the same at the discretion of the LL shall not be renewed and followed by a legal notice for immediate vacation. I agree with penalty , it's fair because it's my mistake. But my agency gave me for new year rent more than 5% . Can they do it? I don't know that can I do because i miss 2 mouth ... so I have only 1 way to accept their new rent? I was trying ti use rera calculator but it's under updaiting now :( Penalty? what penalty, I think they are just trying it on as this is not legal The normal time frame is 3 months and both parties have to communicate within this time for renewal or if you wish to move out With regards to the rent calculator play around by a month or so and it should update properly The clause isn't legal and probably written it by the LL or agency themselves

In order to cancel Etisalat you need to give 1 months notice (fair enough) but in order for the one month notice to begin we have been told you have to return all the equipment. So I'm paying 1 month for TV, Internet ant phone, that I won't be able to use! Can anyone confirm? Or Is it just another Dubai tax that I have to suck up? edited by summer breeze on 17/12/2013 Did they give you this information over the phone? If so, I would go and speak to them in person as the people via the phone can get it wrong!

There is an ejari office in the Al Manara Municipality Centre next to the Noor Islamic Bank Metro Station. There are other offices there, such as DEWA, RTA, Etisalat, etc. I don't know what exactly what you are looking for . It is the Municipality Thank you so much

I have friends with and without children. I realize some are busy and there are times when we don't speak for long periods of time however when we do it is as if no time has passed at all I would only fall out with someone if they had done something terrible I suggest you reach out and see if you get anything in return. If you don't then at least you will know one way or the other

Does anyone actually has an experience with travelling on Wizz Air? No but I am hopefully flying with them to Sofia next year It will be interesting to hear your thoughts if you manage to book! Do they have a contact centre number you can call? They have, but not in Dubai, i think it's in UK. I finally booked tickets, will ask my friends about their experience when they arrive here;) I found some helpful reviews on this airline: http://www.seatplans.com/airlines/Wizz-Air/classes/Economy-78/user-reviews#comment_id_7262 All i know its not like Fly Dubai or Pegasus. Thanks it is only a 4 hour flight and so cheap!

Hello, need help with the name and where to buy the bags to store your clothes? Had some years back in the UK, you attach your hair dryer and they shrink the bag & contents - cannot remember the proper name but need a few kinda urgently. Can I get them here or do I need to shop & ship them from somewhere (when a kindly EW member tells me what to search for). Tia :-) edited by TopQ on 17/12/2013 I bought mine from ACE ( 2 in a pack)

Thanks ladies, but all of this has already been covered in the past :( my tree has loads of presents for our little girl under it. Yday my hubs asked me what are all of the presents and i told him, all for our girl. I felt so bad as my mind has gone completly blank. Unfortunately hes not into sentimental things atall, i had a list of things that i could do but it would take me a while to put together for a slight glance at it and for it never to be touched again. Does he read? perhaps the new Kindle Does he play sport?

Hi! I recently moved to Dubai with my husband. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on finding part time work in Dubai. I've heard it can be challenging. I have an administrative, logistics, and event planning background. Thanks! In the 7 years I have worked in Dubai, I have seen 1 part time role They rarely if ever exist in the logistics or events sector and are mainly in reception positions Alot of people work in the schools as the hours are better but even finding a role there can be challenging

We are moving back to UK (DD and DH this week) and I'm coming back here after Christmas to 'close things down'. Does anyone have experience of getting deposits back from DEWA / Etisalat and how long it might take? I was very pleased with myself that I managed to sell my husband's car today and did the transfer at RTA etc! Just my Pajero to go now! Exciting times! I think when I have cancelled DEWA for moving etc it took a few days to get the deposit back ( That was 3 years ago though so it may be quicker) How exciting that you are moving back to UK. Bon Voyage and good luck xxxx

Hi everyone, I have been living in Dubai now for exactly a year, we initially moved to the palm which was beautiful, but at a price, we didn't realise there were actually hotel apartments above and below us! So it was 24 hour noise with parties etc. We accepted we probably should have first looked at villas if we wanted quiet place, so this is what we did next. We looked at corner plots in JVT to minimise the likely hood of noisy neighbours, and I think it must be our luck because next door and directly opposite have the most awful noisy dogs!! (we viewed the villa in the evening because of the previous tenants schedules so didn't see the toilet ridden gardens and holes in doors for the dogs to wander in and out when they want!) I don't mind the barking all day long (at anything that walks past!) but it's the middle of the night and everyday in the early hours in the morning its always one if not the other dog! I have already put a polite note through both, but of course no one cares do they? So my question is, are there ANY nice quiet neighbourhoods in Dubai?? I can't believe we have to move again, but not until our year is up! I'm going out of my mind, I'm finding it so hard to adjust to unexpectedly moving anyway, and I would just like to enjoy my home, and be able to sleep at least :( Thank you! Jessica. I live in the Greens and aside from a neighbour who was noisy ( She got a visit from the police and it stopped) I have never had problems in 3 years

I have going free… curtains - patio door size in red velvet, plus some full length cream voiles for 10 windows (yes, 10) pillows, cushions - assorted sizes I am so loathed to throw them anyway so if anyone would like them to sell on for charity, please come and get them. I'm in JLT. Thanks! Take My Junk will collect for free. Number on their website

You can find Milton at pharmacies and some supermarkets. I believe I've seen it recently at Supercare and Life pharmacies and I think our Spinneys in DSO stocks it too. Tommee Tippee bottles are available at Mamas & Papas and Babyshop, some pharmacies and some supermarkets but hard to say exactly which one may have stock currently. SMA is widely available at supermarkets, we use Aptamil but no reason to change if SMA is working for you. Again, C4 and Spinneys definately have SMA. Good luck!| Thank you ref the Milton I never thought you could get it here :-)

Hi! We have a villa in the Springs that we have put on the market, as we haven't kept up with the rent increases and been playing by the rera rules. Our tenants rent is a lot lower than what a new owner would like to rent it for, so don't have much choice than give our tenant notice or we will not be able to sell. What paper work do I need to give the teanant? Anyone done this recently, as I heard its quite complicated? Many thanks in advance x If your are selling then you need to give her 12 months notice by public notary

I also do not believe this will work. It will reduce water retention perhaps, but that is it. Unfortunately the only way to successfully reduce weight and optimise body shape is through hard work and discipline: diet and exercise; unfortunately there are no short cuts. I am trying to loose weight for my son's wedding this month and finding it very difficult as I and not partial to either hardwork or discipline!!! Never a truer word spoken. My friend tried them and said it was a waste of money

I am looking for girl's bedding pillowcases and quilt cover sets (single bed) where its not exorbitantly expensive (Dhs 799 at an online store which I think is madness). I already tried Ikea but dont want more of their overly bright primary colour schemes. Just soft floral, pastel things. I am not a fan of Disney Princess sets or the bright fuschia pink thats everywhere these days. Just a little old fashioned maybe but is it still available anywhere???? Home Centre do lots and there is a sale on at present

not in the entertainer but Hakkasan at Emirates Towers is my fave whilst Gary Rhodes is shut! Also Armani Deli (was called Peck and is in entertainer, can still use vouchers) is the best Italian I've had in Dubai and is a really nice classy restaurant. Thiptara as suggested is excellent and in the entertainer. Again Table 9 I agree with that recommendation and u get a bag of home made sweets to take home! Not in the book for La Petite Maison in DIFC is also really worth the money and has bags of atmosphere. The Ivy in Emirates Towers is also really good and in the entertainer. jeez I like eating out! I went to Deli on Friday and it was fab!

I just don't get it. Why would you honestly want to live in a property that the LL wants back? Most if not all LL want tenants out to up the rent significantly and if we all do what they want then there wont be any reasonably priced accommodation left in Dubai. It is probably cheaper for OP to stay then to find alternative accommodation and if they are breaking the law on said agreement then she has a right to stay
