AXA do it as part of their insurance but you pay extra Pop to Barsha, go through the testing it Go inside, join the ladies queue and voila. I only had to give them my ID card and PO Box and they had all my insurance details/residence visa on screen Easy peasy

There is quite a debate going on in the UK at the moment about the niqab (face veil) with some pressure to ban it completely or just in public buildings (I think some would like to ban the hijab too). I have been very vocal on Twitter about the state having no role in defining what women should wear and that includes the niqab. Using the same logic I don't think schools should be doing so either. Obviously if I had my way I would totally mandate age / size appropriate clothing at all times. Come to our school, one afternoon, coffee on me and you will completely change your mind. You will see things you have yet to see! Shortest daisy dukes with the highest heels. Yoga tights with tops showing the midriff. Tube tops with breasts about to fall out. Blouses with V backs all the way down to the waist with the bra in full view. I could go on!! If they don't regulate it, there is no telling how some parents will dress for school. It doesn't matter if it is an Islamic country or not, it is a school and such attire is just not appropriate. I agree entirely. They obviously have no self respect and [b'>I doubt the school Mums at home would dress that way on the school run even in Summertime![/b'> Really? You are talking about the country where on a sudden hot sunny day people will go into a London park in their lunch break and strip off to their undies with no compunction. That is London, however I am not from there so thankfully not subjected to this :-)

I use their tinted moisturiser (sheer tint), great for this climate as nice and light and contains an SPF. Also use their eye cream with SPF (total eyecare?), and their ultra sensitive face sunblock, which is a mineral sun cream rather than chemical. Been using their stuff for 10 plus years and seems to have helped prevent wrinkles. On which note, I'm out of stock. Anyone know where i can buy Dermalogica in the Umm Suqeim/Jumeirah area? Essentials or Roots perhaps? I love their products I stock up at home as they are so overpriced here

In which mall is dress code enforced. last week I was politely told by a female security guard at marina mall (of all malls) that there was a dress code and handed a leaflet with advice. fortunately I had a shrug with which to cover up and she thanked me for doing so. - Sign of things to come I expect. I have never seen it enforced ever! There are pictures on the entrances but judging by the amount of bra less vest top wearing and hot pant bum eaters on display no-one is doing anything. I just avert my eyes. This thread has been dragged out so many times and I doubt the dress code will ever be enforced.

bummer! lets hope someone else might be able to help me. on a separate note, do you enjoy reading on tablets? I find it a little annoying... I haven't got the room for too many books ( I had so many) I prefer the tablet although it took a while to get used to I used to continually lose pages due to the spine melting whilst sitting in the sun haha

Shop style is a hub/collection of all different stores and yes many deliver here but I usually use my shop and ship account if they dont deliver here. Shop Style have an ipad/iphone app so you can browse on line, its very addictive, you can set up alerts for when clothing or brands you like go on sale. Its very bad if you are a shopper. DH has deleted it off my iPad twice, lucky I know how to re-install it! I do most of my shopping online now. So do I, due to the cost here! Thank you :-)

Fresh Meat (Seasons 1&2) with Jack Whitehall and Joe Thomas (from The INbetweeners) Bad Education with Michelle Gomez (Green Wing) and Jack Whitehall The Borgias (Season 3) And desperately waiting for the next episode of Breadking Bad to wend it's way down the wires to the Apple box! I love Call the Midwife, I read all the books first and they were just as good Fresh Meat I struggled with and I have Bad Education ready My new addiction is Storage Wars, I cannot get enough of it Enjoy

Hello, I am starting this new project as a makeup artist, however i need models so i can apply makeup on.. Hiring a model would be alittle nerve wracking and might be expencive as well So i was thinking i can offer a free makeup makeover for anyone who is intrested for different looks depending on what your Occassion is.. In return is to take a picture of the makeup that i have applied ( i can offer 2 or 3 free makeup application for anyone who approves for me to take picture of my work) .. As long as youre living close to where i am, i am currently in Abu Dhabi, Also available in Ras Al Khaimah in weekends.. I use proffessional tools and brushes and well known makeup brands , so no worries.. So let me tell u alittle bit about myself, I have graduated as an interior designer, still love that major but i love art in general, i have passion for art, fashion design, graphic design, styling, and love love love makeup I am married and a mother of a great little boy.. I actually did my sister makeup at her engagment party.. And from there i took that seriously because i got alot of compliments I hope i can get some possitive feedback, and get intouch with anyone who's intrested.. What brands do you use? TIA

I bought me a pair of shoes in an outlet here and as I am a big size 8 and the shoe fitted so well and so comfy to wear I thought to buy one more pair in an other colour. Unfortunately I couldn't find the shoes in any outlet here in Dubai ( except MOE but they had so many scratches ), so decided to order online as a colleague was on business in London. Today he came back and me stupid person, not sure how I managed ordered the wrong ones. The heel is too high:) Cry, scream... What would be the best to return them, I know I can not return them to a shop here. What is the easiest to send them back to the UK. First time I ordered shoes/cloths online and it did go wrong... Appreciate your advise Aramex or DHL although you will pay more than the regular post office return I have returned items through Emirates post and they either took a month to get there or got lost!

It doesnt remove it. It only minimizes the appearance. Nothing can remove a stretch mark. Its broken/fractured tissue in the skin. However if you want to cover up your stretch marks then Sally Hansen selftan spray does a great job and you can also use coverderm skin make up for the more severe ones. edited by Asti on 23/09/2013 Agree :-)

The age old q; how to get a job without experience. Be mindful that HR jobs go to UAE nationals, mainly. Also, with recruitment, it is very hard to find a job without local 'understanding' as you really need to understand how people think here. You say you do not want business development, but then that you ´need' a job. If you understood the market here, you would know how this sounds. As a recruiter, you'd need to know how desperate people are for jobs so, that they'll lie just to get in the door.... There are so many AW, expat and cultural things a recruiter here needs to be switched on to. I'd take any HE role until you truly get this market. Do you also have a degree with this experience? Bachelor/Masters? That's another thing you'd know from recruiting, that most HR professionals here will have degrees. Try charter house kershaw leonard, even the job secretion here is pretty good. Good luck. They don't mainly go to UAE nationals. In my 7 year experience in this sector I have never worked with nor placed one. Yes there are many around however Western and Indian nationals dominate in this sector. I agree with the qualifications most of my clients prefer a CIPD/Masters qualified candidate

Hi suze63, I am very much ready to take up a job in Recruitment as my earlier experience is into that but not Business development which is a kind of sales.That is the problem am facing here. Most recruitment roles in the UAE involve business development ( I.E calling up clients to offer your services as a recruiter) Be aware though there are 1000's of recruiters in the UAE and most companies have a PSL Finding HR work with no UAE experience can be difficult as companies want that experience coupled with knowledge of the labor law and there are many HR professionals living and working in Dubai. Good Luck
