Aloha there.....I cannot get Botox as I suffer from now controlled Graves Disease. There is a chance of a bad auto immune reaction. I do want to smoothen out my forehead wrinkles though. What are the botox alternatives for forehead wrinkles? Any suggestions? New Thermage? Radiofrequency? Fillers? Hi My friend says the new craze in the UK is dermal threading which I believe does not use Botox and the results last longer. Personally I know nothing about this however it is huge in Asia

why dont people just eat before they go out and drink descretly whilst they are in the car ?!! My child is now used to Ramadan being a no public eating no drinking before sunset. Ive explained to him that we must learn to respect those who are fasting and also those who are less fortunate and dont get to eat or drink every day and in particular children who are starving. I may get slammed down for this but I think its a very important time to use this oppertunity to educate children on tolerance, patience and those less fortuante. It is for only a month and not that difficult to observe. I so agree with your comments

Thank you ladies for all your input. The LL has not made this a rental increase issue (atleast he is not saying this. Also, legally, no rental increase is due this year as our rent is within 25% defined by the rera index). He just wants to evict us on one month's notice saying that he is selling and the new owner wants to live in it. I know we have the law on our side and that if we take this to the rera court, we should win, but my dilemma is if '[i'>[b'>WE[/b'>[/i'>' should be the one to initiate this. I am in the last week of my pregnancy & cant take the stress & hassle of going to courts (when my labour could begin any hour). If we just refuse to vacate, wouldn't that we enough? After all the LL cant evict us without an eviction order. Is it better for us to wait and see, or be proactive & take the case to court? I'm just hoping (due to my personal situation) that we continue to not budge by touting the law provisions & wait for them to give up. If he does not allow you to stay you can go to the Rent Committee ( Not RERA) as they do not deal with rental disputes. Take you current contract/cheques and they will issue you a new contract for the year. He cannot just kick you out and the law is on your side I know of so many people who have gone through the same thing and have friends who work in property management that know the law. I bet if you start telling him about the law he will back down as many of them do. It is not a RERA case but a rent committee one. They will give you the same advice as we have. Stick to your guns on this and if he wants to give you 12 months notice it has to be in writing and notarized ( No emails or verbal communication)

Hello all, Just to jump in here with some information as we've just had issues with this. The RERA guidelines are as follows with regards to rent increases and these can be done after the first year, with the required notice as others have said: The maximum rent increase percentage of property units in the Emirate of Dubai leased before the enforcement of this Decree shall be as follows: A - There should not be any rent increase, if the rent for the real estate unit is up to 25% below the average similar rent. B - If the rent value was 26% to 35% less than the average similar rent; the maximum rent increase shall be equal to 5% of such value. C -If the rent value was 36% to 45% less than the average similar rent; the maximum rent increase shall be equal to 10% of such value. D - If the rent value was 46% to 55% less than the average similar rent; the maximum rent increase shall be equal to 15% of such value. E - If the rent value was less than 55% of the average similar rent; the maximum rent increase shall be equal to 20% of such value. With regards to tenant eviction, they have to sell with the understanding that there is a tenant already in the property and all the contract details stay exactly the same. To evict you, they must give you 12 months notice from the expiry date of your current contract. Also if they say they want to move a family member or themselves into the property and don't do this ( I.E put it up for a higher rent) you can take them to the rental committee and sue provided it is within 2 years of you leaving. My friend had this happen to her recently and she won her case The LL had to give her a years rent back!

Checked the RTA website and it lists opening hours for its service centres, but not the working days. Called their 24/7 number and the guy said they're not open on Saturdays, but he may have misunderstood my question and I'm sure I did some stuff there on a Saturday before... anybody know for sure? Of the clothing variety (sorry if you were expecting something more juicy! ;) ) So ladies, finally after almost a year, I'm managing to shed some of my baby weight. I'm half way there but now I'm at that horrible stage where I'm too skinny for my fat clothes and too fat for my skinny clothes. I live in about 2 pairs of cropped jeans, which every time i bend down i end up looking like an extra in a bad hip-hop video from the early 2000's with my waist band sitting under my butt! Problem is I just cant find any decent bottoms (trousers or skirts anywhere!!) So far, all iv managed to find are full length normal weight jeans, teenie tiny hot pants (my legs were not made for hot pants of any kind, even pre-baby!!), micro-mini skirts, those skirts which are short at the front and long at the back - not really ideal for day wear for a stay at home mom, or the ones which are a short skirt with a long see-through skirt over the top. All i want is some cropped trousers / linen trousers or a decent (appropriate length) skirt. Just normal day wear that also looks ok in public!! Is this really too much to ask for?? I dont want to spend the earth as I'm hoping to only be using them for a couple of months or so. Anyone seen anything that fits what im looking for?? Please help!! TIA! :) xx M&S have nice linen trousers and skirts

There's lots of Margharita mixes available in the supermarkets, just watch as to how much sugar is in them. As well, you could add some lemon juice (bottled) and sea salt. Seems to work for me....but then again, mine aren't virgin! LOL Mine wouldn't be either ;-)

My friend said that the recovery time for IPL is quite long as is the same for Fraxel so your skin is back to normal very quickly. She also said she had the strongest Fraxel ever ( I saw the after effects and it was not pretty) To be honest her skin did not look any different than before!

Hi, my partner has recently moved to Qatar for work, I've read all sorts of reports about whether non-married couples can stay together in hotels. I have started contacting some hotels and so far have had 2 replies, which stated that a marriage certificate has to be shown. Does anyone know whether there are any hotels that will allow us to stay together. Also I have no knowledge of Qatar and will be reading all the information on here but any advice will be gratefully received! I have stayed there in the past and never been asked for a marriage certificate I suppose you take the chance as people do in the UAE

1) Fraxel laser (fractional CO2 laser) 2) IPL 3) Chemical peel 4) fillers. Radiesse for deep wrinkles, juvederm/restalyne for minor all 3 are effective but have some downtime Other than that... 1) primer, fills everything in nicely. 2) retin-A Fraexl wears off very quickly My friend had it done in Dublin and said it was a waste of money Retin A can dry your skin out terribly so be careful

[i'>"The mailing address includes both the company street address and PO box number .."[/i'> I think this could be the problem, it is being dealt with as undeliverable due to the presence of a street address and they are not taking any notice of the PO Box written on it and since there is no postal address delivery here it goes to undeliverable. Try adjusting the redirect to include only the PO Box. I was told just to put the name of the person receiving it or company name, PO Box, Dubai, UAE No building names, numbers etc as that is the reason my parcel was returned back to the UK

Since when were multiple drops denied? I got a taxi last night from T2 and the queue had over 60-70 people in it. As my colleague lives 3 mins away from me in the Marina it makes sense for us to share a cab, but the driver out right refused. My colleague is Emirati and called RTA and they said multiple drops are fine, which means its the companies choice. My colleague has actually filed a complaint with RTA. Surely for efficiency, shorter queues and the sake of the environment multiple drop off's should be encouraged not denied! I remember reading years ago that this was illegal and that it was classed the same as car sharing. In most parts of the world it is encouraged however not here

Rent committee deal with rental disputes. So many of my friends have been through this recently and one poster on here won her case. If they sell they have to give you 12 months written and notarized to leave. If they do not sell or rent it out again at a higher price you can sue them. It is law ( Unless you have a non renewable agreement) There have been countless numbers of written statements about this in the media RERA have nothing to do with this Good luck

YorkieScott, we are in the same situation right now, but the 12 months notice is not as clear cut as it seems. We have signed the standard contract with amendment that clearly states 4 months notice. We were at the time not even aware of the 12 months notice rule, so thought 4 months notice is fine should we want to move. We've called RERA on three different occasions and were told that if there is a notice period stated on your tenancy contract, it will over ride the 12 months rule. We were told (again on three different occasions) that we'd be wasting our time filing a case with the rental committee. So check whether you have any amendments stating your notice period! We thought we were all fine with the 12 months notice rule, since our landlord is selling the villa, but clearly it's not as clear cut as everyone thinks! Why are you speaking to RERA? They have nothing to do with rent. I would speak with the rent committee I had a 3 months notice on my tenancy contract but my LL still has to give me 12 months written notice from end of contract to move out. My friend like yourself had 4 and spoke to the RC who told her he had to give her 12 months

Can I ask if all bus stops now have the top-up machines in Dubai?, as before when I lived there, only certain stops had them. Will be getting on the bus at Airport Terminal 2, but I don't think my 2 cards have any credit left on them...can I let my card go into negative credit, then top up as soon as I get to the nearest metro station? thanks Unfortunately no on the first point, still getting there. Point 2 - I am not sure how that works. I did not think you could go into negative credit as you use what is only on the card therefore if you put AED50 on you can only use AED50 then nothing left ( I used to use it for parking) Not all bus stops have the top up machine.

if you are from a 'western' country then you should be entitled to some state pension, and also continue to live off your husband's pension (assuming he is still alive). If he passes away before you, I *think* you are entitled to receive some/ all of his pension for the rest of your life. I would make sure you are named as the beneficiary on your DH's life insurance policy, so that in the event that he is no longer around to support you as a SAHM (before or after retirement), you are not left in the lurch financially. I would also, if you can, try and contribute to your own private pension plan, even if this means DH paying your contributions while you are at home and not working. Or invest in property in your name. surely you need to have paid your taxes etc to be eligible for a state pension, which,by the way, will probably be non-existent by the time most of us are ready for it lol Not if you are an Australian and born after 1956!! - you are entitled to nothing from the government once you retire other than to continue paying taxes ..... Really life is tough for middle income Australians. Now payments into Retirement funds are compulsory but the funds are failing left and right and payouts are far far less than estimated leaving beneficiaries with less than minimum requirements to live on no matter how responsibly they have saved and prepared for retirement. We have invested in real estate in Australia although may still quite possibly not be able to afford to live there full time in retirement as planned. Luckily we have also invested in Pakistan which is where, more than likely, we will retire permanently as the cost of living is cheaper - at this stage!!!! Retirement is a huge problem for everyone. Of course a good strong marriage and family are essential - partners working together for the future of the family as a unit. If this does not happen or if trust is questioned then I think you are in big trouble. I think in the UK you have to have contributed N.I for 35 years to qualify for the old age pension which is peanuts!

Thanks a bunch for the info! Is there a time schedule for the shuttle? like does it come to the metro station after every few mins? do we have to wait for long? I tend to walk, it leaves the greens every 15 mins so once it has done the pickups and heads to Tecom it then picks up and goes back. I guess you have to time it if that makes sense

There was a bus when the Metro opened that did this service and went all round TECOM and then to the Greens shops. Is that the same thing? I don't think it is: I just got the flyer through my door today: it is a new initiative to reduce carbon emission (Dubai is going Green). No this is exclusively for the Greens to the Metro and has been in action for over a month
