My Dh and I are moving to Essex in 4 weeks I've never been there. I've started to watch TOWIE for inspiration I have now shortened my dresses by 4 / 6 inches I've been practising the accent and I've booked myself in for an orange tan just before we leave MissMoe - can I highly suggest the following (and take it from one who absolutely knows - from a viewing stance):- a) buy the cheapest orange tan you can - none of the designer stuff as it works (otherwise the locals will realise you are not from the area); B) purchase ill fitting high heels (the higher the better) again, from the cheapest shop - usually a supermarket; c) purchase elocution lessons (as in 'alright luv', 'innit', 'wotever' 'you dissing me?') then you will comfortably fit in; D) and as you already metioned, skirts shortened to only approximately 6 inches in depth. Good luck (you will need it)!!!! V Fake boobs, lips, big hair and bodycon frocks!

You can find Bells's Clove Oil in Carrefour in the section where they sell sticking plasters etc. It is usually on the bottom shelf along with some other stuff like iodine and pharmaceutical grade olive oil. It comes in a tiny bottle. It's supposed to be good for treating toothache too. Yep we used to give it out by the bucket load in the pharmacy Smells awful yuk

Couple of weeks? I have been away a month and left the A/C off never had any mould A couple of months i understand but not weeks I draw all the curtains and close all the doors

If BUPA say they allow it, who are you to argue about the ethics? if you want to take your ethical influence from an insurance company; go ahead.... personally i find this unethical. The whole idea is to help someone who is in trouble and asking for help. That is where I take my ethics from. Me too. Any of us could be in this situation and provided it was all legal and above board i would help where i could.

I'm so sorry for posting so much (I'm in major getting organised and getting my head around this move mode!) My husband has been offered an interest free car loan. I'm wondering how much our monthly costs will be for a semi decent second hand (or new) car plus insurance a month? A rough estimate would be great. I'm trying to work out how much more we can spend on our accommodation. I am aware that the roads are manic so would ideally like a slightly bigger car. Any help much appreciated x Depends on the value of the car, insurance is based on that 2 doors and convertibles cost more insurance wise.

This is a genuine question. Do the people involved with running these camps have background checks done on them. Perhaps something like a UK type of enhanced CRB check? Or is it a case of just send the children and hope the people involved are what they should be? That is a good point but I don't think anyone here who works with children is subject to a background check. In my country (the USA), even parent helpers have to undergo a background check! A friend of mine from the UK worked with Emirati teenagers and had a CRB check done

I have never braided my hair and so tempted to do so now, the problem is i have so much gray hair (good genes from my beloved parents). So, I am not sure how would that work??!! What happens when my gray grows out???? Any suggestions?? Do you recommend Braiding? Do you know a good place for it What sort of braids? There are many kinds. If you mean the ones like Bo Derek had in the movie 10 then they stay in for quite a while and if your grey grows through then it was be the same as normal. If you mean those kinds of braids then i would go to a specialist afro caribbean salon to have them done. I have seen them in Deira and a quick Google search should throw up some answers

We're off to Thailand soon with our 15 month old bub. I'm starting to worry a bit about feeding her while there as she still prefers most of her meat to be pureed. She'll take chunks of veg, pasta etc but meat still has to be pureed. How the heck am I going to get meat into her while we're away?! Do hotels usually cater for toddlers and puree stuff? I'm planning to take as many Ella's Kitchen pouches as I can get in to my suitcase but I'd prefer her to eat freshly cooked food seeing we're away for about 2 weeks. Also, when can I be more relaxed about how much salt she takes? I'd be happy for her to eat what we're having but I'm worried that most of the food there will be laden with salt and maybe MSG? Help! Edited as phone changed some words! edited by onthemoveagain on 16/05/2013 We ate out alot and i cannot say i found the food to be oversalted or MSG ridden There are so many restaurants and the menus were fantastic, we ate a mix of Thai and English food whilst there

Hi Kaba, Organic store on Sheikh Zayed usually have mayo but may be out of stock. The brand is Plamil and it's called organic egg free mayo. If that branch doesn't have it, call the greens branch as they often have stock. There is another brand they have but my DS prefers this one. For cheese try Choithrams. I know the one opposite Safa park has Tofutti cream cheese, tastes like cream cheese but is dairy free and made from soy, it's not bad at all. http://www.tofutti.com/dairy-free-cheeses/ They stock the cream cheese and sour cream, but I think the sour cream is in a different colour tub. Works well for dips, I add some Knorr french onion soup mix and you have french onion dip. DS loves it and doesn't feel like he's missing out. Is it a cows milk allergy as organic store has sheep and goats cheese and goat's milk. My DS is intolerant to caesin so non of the options suit us. I think there may also be a dairy free mozarella which is soy based. Which might work for pizza. Also check out the salad dressing INAPAARMAN's kitchen brand that they sell in carrefour and spinneys as the honey and mustard dressing is dairy free. http://www.paarman.co.za/allergen_info_may2013.pdf Good luck I know how frustrating it is, my son is dairy and wheat intolerant, very hard to cater for. edited by TimTam on 16/05/2013 I think this Friday or Saturday it is 20% off at the OC edited by sarahlou123 on 16/05/2013

Unfortunately the best surgeons here are usually quite expensive My friend had hers done by Dr Imran Tahir. She took no pain relief and was back at work in a week ( She is a hairdresser so on her feet all day) Whilst Jaffar Khan is renown for augmentation, Imran Tahir is known for being the reduction king His is the one name that has been bandied round for years regarding this procedure and i know of many people who used him :-)

Not sure the relevance of a travel stroller vs a bassinet? If your baby is too big for the bassinet (although I find with a bit of bent knees, you can fit a bigger baby in) then you'll have to put them on the floor or hold them ... Knee or floor. I highly doubt you can use a travel stroller

Hi ladies, I keep hearing people ask about what nursery I'm going to put my 3 month old daughter in? Why haven't I signed her up yet? Is this something that I should be looking into now? I would like her to start with 1-2 days per week when she reaches 11-12 months. Any advise on good and affordable nurseries. The fees of those I've researched are crazy! Definitely wise not to keep your cash here. The uae government has full rights to your bank accounts and they can be frozen at any time e.g if you have a car accident etc. if you click on the 'Finance' tab on this site (above) you can contact Paul Jenkinson he is the recommended Advisor and will give free advice on opening offshore bank accounts in the Isle of Mann or Jersey where your money is protected. I think you can save in Euros, Sterling or Dollars, depends how you are paid. Hope this helps. why would your accounts be frozen if you have a car accident ? I have never heard of this either? I have been in a car accident here and my account wasn't frozen

To teach in schools, you'll just need your degrees all attested. I'm not sure how the UK system works but in the US, high school is through grade 12 and for that you just need a bachelors in elementary education with a teaching certificate. For teaching what we call college or university you need a masters degree and your teaching certificate. Also, unless you have opened your own licensed company, I'm pretty sure its illegal to tutor, even though people and teachers do do it. It is illegal and if reported (which can happen) then you are in big trouble

I just downloaded 'The Fall'. Glad to hear it was good! Will check out 'Life of Crime' as well. Cool. I love stuff set in the '80s. Speaking of which, have you watched 'The Americans' sarahlou123? No i have not. Is it good? I watch so much TV now the weather is heating up, i shall have a look at it. We're only three eps in, but yes: it's very good, I think. Good old-fashioned Cold War spy thriller-type thing with some good twists and turns (so far!). :) I will add it to the list. Thank you I started watching Cracker and Prime Suspect again ( Old boxsets) forgot how great they were The baddie in the Fall is an ex Calvin Klein model so good eye candy haha
