Can anyone recommend a reputable company that has any special deals or discounts on eyelash extensions in July? Tips and Toes tend to have special deals on packages including eyelashes I don't know if they have any at the moment though

yes I agree its not what you know its who you know - networking is the best way to advertise you are looking for a job. I have also been on thhe look out for 2 months now and its frustrating but ideally get close to some of the best recruiters and keep badgering them and making them think of you first when they get something in that would suit. What do you do Tatters? and how are you?

I don't get the reasoning behind allowing free zone cafes to remain open and all other cafes having to close, are there no fasting people in the free zones? They have different regulations, and perhaps the permit is easier to obtain. The DMCC one (JLT) for eg. allows consumption of food on premises behind a curtain, it's 1510AED for the permit. Yes I understand there are different regulations between free zones and outside, but still wonder as to the reasoning in permitting consumption of food publicly in a free zone and not permitting the same elsewhere when it is all happening in Dubai in public. Maybe it has something to do with the FZ companies being independently owned rather than the non FZ entities having a local sponsor. Therefore they have a say in this? ( I don't know this but perhaps)

Just too add as Sue R has already mentioned it really is early days, at two weeks I did not even want to look in a mirror, but it does get better with the right aftercare treatment, same as Sue, gentle massage and I used gel scar sheets for 24 hours a day for months. I had a large brown birthmark removed off my face several years ago and the scar is now barely visible 2 weeks is early days, mine at that point was shiny, red and raised I used gel scar sheets also

we've bought most of our white goods and electronics there - never had a problem !! But agree with Izzy - the smell in the dairy aisle is pretty rank although the rest of the store is usually ok.. I have bought most of my white goods too. my washing machine is still going strong after 6 years of use. I agree the smell is a bit funky

i would try the organic supermarket for bread. No such thing as dairy free cheese (and no vegan cheese is not cheese and it's vile). One of my closest friends is Vegan and she makes all her food from scratch ( Including cheese dishes) her food is amazing and you would never know it was vegan Her quiche is the best I have tasted :-) have a slice of vegan cheese and then say it's teh best you have ever tasted... that stuff comes from satan's kitchen . Haha I am a non believer ;-)

I haven't used any of those but i have used jadopado.com which is a local company. Very good service and you can pay cash on delivery if you chose. I have used Jadopado too. I bought a phone and the charger part of the phone broke They collected and fixed it within 48 hours and called afterwards to see if everything was okay. Very good customer service and the staff at their call centre have excellent communication skills and are friendly

I would forgive - but I would not forget. And it is not him that needs forgiveness, it is you. Forgive yourself for allowing a man such as this into your life, to abuse your love and to treat you with such little value. Try to understand that a woman with a solid self esteem and whole sense of self would have kicked a man out such as this a long, long while ago, even before the first time he cheated. There is a proverb - fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. What made you stay? What made you think that if you loved him enough, he'd change? Because he wont but for some reason that's not clear to you. In fact, he has groomed you to be exactly where you are - moping on the couch, crying into tissues, and worst of all - hoping he'd come back so you can try to change his mind again. Men like these are showing tell-tale signs, even right at the start of the relationship, in the supposedly perfect stage. You will meet someone else again. Listen to your instinct, don't bury it. Don't lie to yourself, or you will find yourself exactly where you are again. I don't know how old you are or what you are looking for. Maybe you just want to have fun and enjoy yourself, that's fine. But its never too early to start honing your sixth sense to separate the wheat from the chaff, so that later, when you are ready to settle down, you'll only need one meeting or two to know if its loser or a keeper. That's what you should aim for now, not to look for love or a man or a steady relationship, or the knowledge that you have a Thursday night date and that you are not alone. So forgive yourself, but don't forget the lessons. Remember that you are healed and whole again when you meet a man like this in the future and instead of worrying about how you can keep him you are more concerned if he is good enough for a second meeting, and the thought of being alone until you find someone good does not scare you. He made me stay...saying everything he has is done for me. now I can see clearly, he doesnt even love, hes incapable of loving and being empathetic and he is cold and secretative with his phone. I am just the woman he needed that wouldnt recognise what he was doing and I fell for it..I dont want him believe me he is not worth my last breath. but I am scared of what he may do if I leave. So I have to be smart on this one. Yes I am scared on being on my own but I do bizarrely get an inner strength when I need it most. What can he do? If you go and stay with friends alert security about him, threaten him with the police, change your number, tell your friends not to tell him where you are.

Maybe time to re-evaluate how you view and value yourself.... time to take some time out and concentrate on you, find your worth and stick to it. But first time to pack and go :) Good luck its high time to evaluate myself - its been a long time in coming and now is the right time since I am no spring chicken, life is for living and I feel that I am constantly treading on egg shells. Just got to approach the moving out thing as I know he may become nasty. Age is nothing to do with it. You can find love ( with the right person at any age) perhaps take the time to evaluate why you are perhaps attracted to men like this. Take the time to discover you. x

OMG Tatters, this is awful - but move out now, get your life back in order and move on. He does not deserve you at all, if he does this now - where does it end up? I think the biggest question though, is what do you want out of the relationship - if you stay? I want to be respected and have a happy relationship with no worries about trust. Does that exist? It does, but not with this man. he has done nothing but betray your trust and love for him. As I said he does not deserve you, find a man who will and who makes you feel complete. He is out there, I promise. As long as you are with this cheater you will never move one and meet that man. LIKE

You will get over this but you have to put the work in... The key is no contact regardless of what he says. If he knows he can reel you in again, he will. I know you will feel that if you do kick him out and he contacts you then he must love you It isn't about love it is about power and perhaps the chance of ( S%X) No-one died from a broken heart and I had to look at myself and claim responsibility for allowing him back into my life to cheat again. Do not play the friend card either.. Stay strong you will feel better for it in the long run.. Count yourself lucky you didn't marry him. Let him be someone elses problem whilst you move on to bigger and better things I know now that hes done this to quite a few women..but obviously did not know this when we got together. I cant tell you how upsetI feel right now because of this and I am utterly ashamed that I could have forgiven him so many times. Don't be ashamed. You have done nothing wrong. Even if you were the worst GF ever you don't deserve this. Don't let him play the victim either. Women are more forgiving due to our emotions. Most guys I know wouldn't be so forgiving if the shoe was on the other foot! My ex said he found it hard with me as I had gained 6Lbs in weight. I was a size ten back then!!! I just laughed and showed him the door after stuffing all his belongings in black bin bags. ( Gosh that felt good) Use your support system and if you can change your number ( Or sit on your hands) I didn't speak to him for 30 days as I needed to gain some much needed clarity. I had to at some point as we had financial stuff to deal with but by then I wasn't hurting and he said I had turned into a Bi$$h.. I didn't care then. Its hard but you will do it :-)

I found out my partner was being unfaithful (email, texts, photos etc) a fair few months ago and after much deliberation, arguments and walking out on him (he admitted it) etc etc I forgave him, this happened again another 3 times..again I forgave him. I am now a complete an utter emotional wreck as I think its happening again - I am at a loss as to what to do as there seems to be no love there on his part, no caring, nothing and I feel he is just using me for his pleasure (if you see what I mean!) because I am there. I feel very lonely and very insecure all the time and have lost all my confidence. What would you ladies offer as advice? How do I ask him if he is happy with me or not? I know I should leave him and start again but the prospect of being on my own doesnt fill me with joy. I think once you may be able to forgive however 4 times no I wouldn't I don't mean to sound mean but he doesn't love you, if he did he wouldn't cheat on you It isn't anything you have done, its all about him and you need to remember that. There is no excuse for cheating. I sadly dated someone years ago who cheated and like yourself I forgave him I spent most of our time back together waiting and expecting him to do it again, ultimately he did. You will feel terrible for a while, you have to keep busy, surround yourself with friends and delete his number/email/FB/BBM/ any form of communication. It is hard and I imagine a lot of ladies on here have been through the same thing. You don't need a Man to make you happy and you have to learn to love you first. The 2nd time my ex did it I kicked him out and didn't look back. I changed my number and avoided everywhere I thought I may see him. I eventually stopped thinking about him and he met someone else and did the same to her. Cheaters suck and there is no excuse whatsoever to do it. If he wasn't happy he should leave you alone to meet someone who will make you happy. There is a fab website that gives real information about this. It is by a UK lady who make bad choices in relationships and she will advise you to get rid and go no contact Her website is baggage reclaim and think reading it will help you gain some clarity Take care of yourself. Thanks. I know that I should now muster up the courage to leave him (previously he got nasty when I left him before) I do need to approach this with caution since I can do without the agro at this stage in my life. I hate the thought that he doesnt perhaps love me anymore and that he hasnt the courage to tell me why or at least have the conversation with me that I am about to have with him. I will look a the website now. thanks for that. How low do I feel right now? You are right I was just waiting for him to do it again and in the process I have been mistrustful of him and that is no way to carry on a relationship, once you experience something like this there is no going back to how it was in the beginning - a leopard never changes his spots and all that... I think Women look for closure and want to know why this happened. Sometimes there is no closure. You will go through the stages of grief and acceptance will be the best one, trust me even if he did tell you the reason why would you believe him? I actually went to see a counselor here as I wanted inpartial advice and to find out why I attracted/dated the same sorts of guys. I knew I had to make changes which I did for the better. Be strong x

Were you alone in the car? I thought the unmarked cars here had flashing lights, as how are you supposed to know they are the Police? I certainly wouldn't stop on a road at night unless I knew they were legitimate Policemen/Women. You hear of so many people here impersonating them. I am surprised the guy on the phone wasn't more sympathetic and I am shocked at his attitude I remember years ago getting stopped coming out of a hotel in Bur Dubai. The two guys were CID however one of them was really snotty when I asked to see ID. I then said should a Woman Police Officer be present if you wish to question me ( They were asking for proof of ID) I was in a busy place with lots of people around so I didn't feel intimidated however I imagine others would. Once they saw my passport and nationality they waved me off??

My son is starting FS2 in September and during the introduction morning they informed us that the school starts at 7.20am. Is this a normal time in Dubai? Back in Europe school started at 8.30am. I usually leave the house at 7.30am, I don't know how I will be able to wake and cloth a 4 year old and a 1 year old and all before 6.45am.. I think most of the schools here start much earlier than the UK My friends child start at 7.15am and she is 5 years old edited by sarahlou123 on 25/06/2014

Would all of you please stop hovering around your children like a bunch if demented vultures. Instead, try teaching them to be self-sufficient. No wonder there are so many children wandering around without a lick of common sense. It's kind of difficult to acquire good instincts when your parents hover over you constantly in order to "keep you safe". "demented vultures" lol, you don't have very good manners do you Irish? How old are your children, your comments have the feeling of one of those judgemental childless "experts". The world is "no longer" a safe place Irish. Children have to be protected and more so now in this day and age. I hardly think not wanting a young boy to go into the men's toilets here alone constitutes "hovering around your children" I think it shows good parenting

Sorry but lack of common sense and keeping your kids safe, just don't go. There will be any number of young boys out there with loads of common sense, who's Mums just want to make sure they're safe. You obviously have no concept of the types of male predators around, the world over. It doesn't bother me in the slightest, I would rather them be safe. The world has changed since we were young unfortunately.

I read an article today in 7Days about children's toilet facilities where a mum mentioned she got dirty looks because she'd taken her 9 year old son into the ladies bathroom. She said she was too scared to let him go to the men's toilet alone. It got me thinking about how old is too old to take a boy into the ladies? I don't have children so I can't comment. I'm just genuinely interested for future reference! I don't have kids but I would say 12 It wouldn't bother me as I have a nephew and I remember my Sister taking him in as she didn't want him to use the Gents alone. Years ago it would of been safe but times have changed What do Dads do with their Daughters in this case? [b'>Dads[/b'> will send there [b'>Daughters[/b'> in ladie's, ladies are harmless compared to men Lo! Mind that was nearly 30 years ago. edited by Geordie expat on 25/06/2014 I have kept an eye on a few in my time and have been asked too

At Dubai Ladies' Club boys are allowed until age 7... On Ladies' Days at Dubai municipality parks, the age is 4. (Just for info-- if I had a young son I wouldn't send him in alone to a men's public toilet!) I still think 7 is so young but perhaps that is me :-)

I think it very much depends on your home arrangements, I work and don't have a maid and tried for the first couple of years with the 2 x PE & 3 x Uniform arrangement and was just stressing myself out and rushing around like a headless chicken in the mornings! So now I have about 5 of everything and do all the laundry at the weekend (or even if we go away for the weekend I still don't need to stress!) and it's much better. So it maybe depends if you have a maid then it wouldn't be so much of an issue. Also for budgeting, if your school has white tshirts and plain coloured shorts these can often be bought much cheaper in C4/Marks & Spencer, or if you know anyone going to the UK then Asda/Tesco have a good selection. Florence and Fred ( Tesco) have a large shop in Oasis Mall that may be handy for kids stuff
