Hi Everyone, Just to share a little gem I came across at the weekend - new skateboarding park just recently opened - great for the kids now that the temperature is getting higher!! Its called the Sk8 Factory and is in Al Quoz 4. We went at the weekend - easy to find, great prices and boys had a ball. xx Is it near the Marina shop?

I just read about a great new centre opening in Al Quoz next Wednesday. It is a huge indoor trampolining/bounce park. they have a website www.bounce.ae. and a Facebook page. The concept has been brought here from Australia. They have different sessions for different age groups. You need to book on-line. 70-80 dhs an hour. A great way for kids to have fun and get fit! I met with the owner last year. It looks like a fab place to go and I will pop down there at some point :-)

Can I just add from the bikini wearing side, that I wore one on holiday for the first time in I don't know how many years last week. I felt amazing :) Just go and do it, to be honest most people will be so absorbed in what they are doing that you won't even get a second glance. Enjoy the time with your family. I do here GE and a lot of my friends are size 6-8, I don't get intimidated. The world would be a boring place if we were all Victoria Secret lookalikes :-)

Will be sold out by lunchtime !! lol Actually, if anyone's desperate, the lime cordial from Spinneys is much nicer and available most of the time... I am going to go and buy it all haha I have a fondness for the Rose one as it reminds me of the lime marmalade that my Nan used to eat :-)

Of course you are being silly! Who cares what you wear? There is such a mix of attire at waterparks here. Big bikinis, little bikinis, burkinis, shorts and t-shirts, jeans. Think how much fun you will have with your little one. All she will be thinking about is how much fun she is having with her mummy. I can't say I've ever gone to a waterpark thinking I looked fabulous but I've always had a great time with my children, how I look is totally irrelevant. You are going to have so much fun, enjoy! The whole looking fabulous thing will go out of the window when you go down a slide head first and come up looking like a drowned rat. I agree with the others, who cares, have a great time!

Assuming it will be mostly brits there - otherwise it would be us vs them! Any non-brits who've wandered in by mistake will be so bemused! Especially when they can't understand a word he says ;) My Australian friend says she doesnt understand a word he says so I am going to give her a crash course in Scouse ;-)

Answer from John Bishop's Office via his fb page. Doors open 7pm, show starts at 9pm, finishes approx 11pm. Sorry we were awaiting confirmation from the venue. I got a mail on FB from Done who also said 9pm Yep 9pm start. Makes life much easier :) It does, let's see how many people will be saving seats for their mates who are allegedly at the bar lol Oh no - I'd forgotten the whole no-numbered seats thing... Never heard of such a thing before...! It will be like musical chairs!

No Lilypad, you could just be more in tune with the earth! There are people all over the world who 'feel' something a few days before they happen. It's very interesting. Should we now refer to her as "Doris Stokes?" edited by sarahlou123 on 27/05/2014

well, out of curiosity, I went on their fab page and saw the snaps of the boudoir shoot she's done... and they're lovely... very tasteful wow that lady she's shot looks stunning!! ahhh well... maybe something i'll consider when I've lost at least 20 kilos and all my stretch marks have miraculously vanished! The girl is wearing a sweater! That's not the idea of boudoir I had ... The ones I have seen are in underwear etc Yes, underwear and a sweater. Have a look. I've worn less in pictures from Wild Wadi! Haha, i saw the ones advertised on here but the ones I have seen back home are wearing considerably less. A bit like the Calendar girls ha

Yep, I am driving too. If you stay on SZR and come off just after the Trade Centre apts there is a paid place there.

Ladies you are wonderful ! I called Shaun this morning, he was here within a couple of hours and the afore mentioned cooker hood is now gleaming....he truly is a miracle worker ! How much does he charge? For the ladies who do the inside you can buy a product in the UK called oven pride You pop the racks in the bag provided, pour in the liquid, leave to soak and hey presto. It strips all the c$$p off them

Hi, is cord easily available here in Dubai? Cord? do you mean cod You can get it but be careful to not buy the salted one I did. I put it in a fish pie and the salt overpowered everything. It tend to be frozen and then defrosted here. Choitrhams and c4 sell it You need to soak salted cod in water / milk before you use it. Thanks for the tip. I never knew that. I made Jamie Olivers Fish pie and nearly vomited it was that salted ;-)

Thanks to you all for your responses ! Possibly being a bit pedantic but as the mattress toppers are meant to stretch over the mattress they will need to be larger than the 200 by 200 mm mattress. The One mattress toppers are definitely too small , are the Home Centre ones sold by mattress size or by actual size ? I had to buy a slightly larger one as there wasn't one that fit my mattress perfectly They can also be cut if that makes sense. Then I had to buy the deep sheets to keep it all together :-)

Thank you - I will brave a trip to MOE when I feel mentally strong enough ! Are they quite thick ? Not really but during the Summer I have to have the a/c on full belt in the bedroom as they can be quite warm. I love mine and never want to get out of bed :-) I would go to MOE at 10am it is always dead and Home Centre is next to C4 so in and out within the hour. :-)
