sarahlou123- when you had your lift was your size reduced ? I was just about to research this but would be great to hear from someone that had it done here I didn't have mine lifted just enlarged. My friend had hers enlarged and lifted but had them done in Brussels as she found a fab surgeon here. Another friend had hers reduced here with Dr Imran Tahir and she was back at work in a week with no pain killers ( She also stands up all day in her job) she raved about him. sarahlou123, Do you by any chance know how much your Friend paid for the Breast Reduction? I have a friend who would love to talk to someone who has had one and get some Info of the same. It was about 4 years ago and around 35k if my memory serves me correctly My enlargement was 24k in 2010 and I do know hers cost a lot more

Hi, Would like to know how this ended as am in a similar situation. We renewed the lease in august 2013. We got an email from the landlord more than a month later saying he wouldn´t renew in aug 2014 for "personal reasons". Am I right in thinking this is not correct for the following reasons: 1) it is not 12 months notice 2) we didn´t get a notarized or registered mail letter but an email (not sure if he can prove we got it, didn´t sign anything 3) personal reasons is not one of the reasons a landlord can evict you, he keeps telling us (not mailing) that he wants to sell but not sure this is true We really want to stay in the house, don´t mind if the price goes up. Does anyone think this is worth going to the rent committee for? thanks Yep, he has to give you a valid reason and tell him that if he doesn't give you the required 12 months notice or it is because one of the above then he can take it up with the rent court. Let him open a case. It is very difficult to evict a person in the UAE and can take a long time to do Tell him you spoke to the rent committee and that they gave you the above information Also send him the link which quotes this. No doubt the rent calculator is not giving an increase that he would most probably get with a new tenant lol

For me I guess it just seems a bit off to ask why you aren't invited. I do get that we can't please everyone, but we are actually paying for the whole things ourselves. It all adds up per person. There is a reason people go away to do it and don't tell anyone :-) Nothing like a celebration of your love for each other to cause drama within families I hope it all goes well for you :-) My cousin is currently planning her wedding and the dramas are starting - she has said "no children" and they are getting greif off Aunts / Uncles who want their grandchildren there..... she is ready to go bridezillla on them :D edited by IzzyOnTheSeat on 16/04/2014 If I ever remarried I would go off somewhere exotic and not tell anyone until after :-) I had a small 1st wedding with just immediate family and my closest friends.

If we were very cheeky or swore as kids My Mum would say Persil Soap Fairy Liquid Pick your poison. Needless to say we never swore or were cheeky! Me too, and I got the odd whack on the backside! My parents were strict but fair and loving and I wouldn't have dared give my dad any lip! Mine too. Mind I once used the F word in front of my Dad by mistake and got a clip. I was over 18 at the time too. Never used the F word even to this day however called my Sister a stupid moo and was grounded and had my mouth washed out. My Mum wouldn't ever tolerate back chat or swearing. Manners cost nothing was her favourite saying and my Sisters have brought their children up exactly the same.

What is your budget and what are your requirements? Ie, 2 beds, near metro, 30 mins from x...... if you tell us these, we may be able to help you. Sorry, my post with that info might have moved too far down after all the replies. I am looking for a 1 bed apartment anywhere close to DIFC where my office will be. A place a bit further away, but with good access to public transport (metro and / or taxi) would be ok too, but I would like to make it to work in about 30 min in the morning if possible. I am a single woman moving by myself, 28 years old, and looking for a place that is also in a lively area with restaurants, shops, etc. in walking distance. The budget I was planning to spend is anything up to 80 k, but I could go up to 90 k if necessary. And I fear I will have to ;-) I was taking Al Barsha into consideration so far and someone mentioned Silicon Oasis before, but not sure if that's good in terms of connection with public transport. So far I don't plan to buy / rent a car in Dubai, at least not immediately. Might try it one day though, just to see if its much more convenient to get around and if I could live with the cost of it. But at first, I would much prefer finding a place that doesn't require a car to get to work. Try the older buildings in the Greens. I have lived there for 3 years and live in the newer part ( Rents for the newer buildings were 75k but now are 100k) It has a community feel, is clean, shops and restaurants close by, nice lake and close to Dubai Internet City Metro I managed to find mine on Dubizzle and went through the LL. Much easier than using an agent

Hey ladies This morning a friend has forwarded a health warning to me that she received from her sons school yesterday (I think) and just want some opinions on it as this is the first time i've come across this here. The message I received was as follows..... "Dear all UAE Residents. Kindly as per UAE Health Authority, avoid any hot spots such as shopping malls, hospitals, parks, public places, water parks and beaches for the next 72 hours due to the spread of the new killing virus (Corona) which has been discovered recently in UAE - Al Ain and other parts of the UAE including Dubai, Ajman and Sharjah, until further notice (it was discovered in Al Ain and already 5 people died because of it and they are Asian - Filipino nationals) Keep forwarding as it is a fast spreading disease. " Has anyone else received a similar warning from schools or nurseries, or generally heard about it? Do warnings like this tend to be a bit sensationalist over here or should it be taken seriously? I dont want to be super paranoid about it but my DD seems to pick up every infection going at the moment and dont want to be putting her at any unnecessary risk. Would appreciate any thoughts on this, especially if there's any healthcare professionals on here working in any of the hospitals / clinics who can shed any accurate info on the situation. TIA! :) xx Someone sent this to me last night and the response in the newspaper is below http://m.gulfnews.com/news/uae/health/health-authority-urges-public-not-to-worry-about-mers-virus-1.1318978

Also look at Silicon Oasis, which is only a 15-20 minute drive from DIFC and you'll find much more within your budget. Some of the apartments have lovely desert views yet you are very close to lots of amenities. But a car is a must if you live at Silicon Oasis, right? Doesn't seem like a place with many taxis going around, and definitely no access to the metro (not via feeder busses either I think). Except for that part, Silicon Oasis does look nice! I will take it into consideration :-) It isn't near a metro and a good 20 minute drive in new Dubai

It is sarahlou123, simple things like who is covered by CC insurance, we had 4 different answers prior to our vacation and in the end they were all incorrect. If you cannot trust their staff with simple matters like this then what hope do we have with bigger issues. They closed our local branch too so its appeal has expired. I don't think CS is a strong point with any of them here :-(

I have always found slimming world and WW the best healthy eating plans. These faddy shakes and 600 calories a day diets may be great in the short term but putting your body into starvation mode doesn't not help at all and you pile it all back on These days I use the App My Fitness Pal which calculates the calories you consume on a daily basis, mixed with weights and cardio. This is the only proven method and you can lose a steady 2llbs per week which is far more effective than starving yourself and it is unlikely you will put it back on.

I have a receipt from the company but the owner is saying that this is not their letter heads. The cheque was cashed out and I went to HSBC (my bank) to cheque if I can get a copy of the cheque and who withdrew it but they said they cannot do it unless I have a request from Police or RERA and both police and RERA cannot give me this letter. If anyone knows any person in HSBC that can help, I will be more than thankful. So let me get this straight the bank will not give you a copy of your cheque that you wrote? Thats BS - i have got copies of cheques i have written - had to pay a fee but have got them. Me too
