Good afternoon ladies! A friend of mine (just arrived) wondered if it were possible to buy dry shampoo in Doha; has anyone come across it? Thank you. Is there a Boots in Doha? I only ask as they stock it only in Boots Dubai ( nowhere else) so the same may apply there

I have just started watching this and what a lovely program It shows it is never too late to find love, no matter what your age :-) Just read a quick synopsis, at least we weren't that bad ;) Mind it does look good and there's a good cast, will have to go on my list :) I watched the first episode last night and it was great. Fabulous acting to boot

We are flying from Al Bateen airport in Abu Dhabi on Rotana Jet, apparently its tiny and they dont have a duty free! The hotel we are in has just opened and dosnt have a licence yet, the group of us have kids so dont want to be doing late nights at other hotels with bars, we just wanted a few drinks for the rooms! Do you have a booze licence and can buy it at MMI or A and E before you fly and stick it in your case

Thanks,I wonder how strict they are? Im sure we can survive (as long as the duty free is open at the airport when we arrive! We are not flying from an airport with a duty free at departure). Does the country you are flying from sell alcohol in the shops? I have bought booze in my suitcase from off licences in the UK and then bought at Duty Free too ;-) Although I would not advice you to do this

Di This is the reply I got We will do our best to keep everyone as informed as possible, and will use this page as often as possible to do so. If you are travelling through Dubai the quickest way for you to get information would be to speak to the airline you are travelling with.

Hopefully there will be a list published somewhere before May 1st, we are flying out on May 2nd and cannot get any info even from the airline. I think the airport has a Twitter and FB page so will ask Good idea, let us know if you get any info please! Will do

Great! Thanks ladies. I let it go and acted as if nothing happened this morning. Not a regular thing though.. Boys will be boys you’re right. Just don’t want him to get used to it and feel what he did is okay to me and maybe next time he won't mind doing it again. But next time he will do it again, will defo need to do something about it. Do it back if there is a next time! ;-)

do you think they will sell anymore or is it totally sold out ??? Unlikely as the concert was last night :-D It was great until rain stopped play. Left feeling a little cheated! I saw that it rained, and felt relieved in a way LOL sorry I am just bitter I didn't get to see UB40. We went to see Sir Geldof and after 30 minutes it rained very heavy and went home! They were great although wringing out my clothing because of the downpour wasn't pleasant I looked like a drowned rat! Sitting on my hands ;) I nearly said something else but would of opened myself up to all sorts ha

My fiancé got so drunk last night from a pub with his mates and acted stupid when he came home. He was singing, telling me how much he loves me, and acting weird, the usual drunk in short! One point, I gave him water to drink and I was calling him ‘my little boy’ because it felt like I was nursing a kid. Then he spat the water on my face playing, laughing and acting like a kid. I didn’t react and actually I sweetly put him to bed after. This morning, I told him what he did and he felt really embarrassed. My question is, shall I let it pass, forget and just understand that things like this normally happen especially bec he was drunk or shall I talk to him properly and say what? I am not sure how to handle such situation as I am sure he doesn’t mean to do that to me? Am I supposed to get angry and feel disrespected? If you were in my situation, what will you do? Shall I just forget? Please advise. Thanks Is it a regular thing? if not then leave it be. At least he was nice. I once dated a guy who was awful when drunk. Needless to say I knocked that on the head

I know these kind of queries have been voiced one a plenty so please do share your experience. Around our place, there are 2 residents who have made shelters in their gardens for their dogs... one is a GSD pup and another one is a fully grown GSD. I checked and there isn't any air conditioning arrangements ( both ). 2 days back the fully grown GSD ran out of his enclosure, lost on our street where my DH and another kind neighbour had to put him on leash( very frndly GSD) and the dog guided them back to his home. The dog was malnourished, fur comign out in clumps... he was asked abt such condition, he shirked and went inside. The second GSD pup...have always been on rounds to see him locked in the enclosure, with no humans around so that I could go and talk to the owners... Summer is just around the corner...now that I have seen the two gsd's I want to go and talk to the owners for their good....but do you think it will help?? IT's springs community... Perhaps there is a department at The Municipality you can report this too

You'd be surprised how much you can make selling your stuff. Dubizzle, garage sales, baby market, regional selling facebook pages - mirdif market, arabian ranches souq etc etc My friend recently went to a table top sale at Times Sq She said there were 2 ladies there selling baby stuff and their stall was packed with buyers edited by sarahlou123 on 06/04/2014

Picking up this thread again... 2 days ago there was a really negative article in Gulf News on Jumeirah Park, esp. the lack of actual Parks, Security, Community facilities... Rents seem to be very high (4BR at 280k??) and people start moving out already.... Any positive developments to report that would justify buying/renting there? 280k OMG!!!

Hi, are you able to watch BBC in Dubai? I will be moving to Dubai late this month so would be good to be able to watch a BBC program. Yes the Voice Final was good last night, Christina Marie voice very powerful and flawless performance but I am still thinking Jermain is the man and good luck to his bright future although his first performance wasn't that good but he had performed 3 different style of songs. I think Will.i.am speech won the British hearts again. The TV here isn't the best Most people download or use a VPN for online UK TV

The traffic is already 'interesting' in the area around Gulf News where there are some road closures, although a policeman is now on duty directing traffic which helps a lot - also I didn't realise there will also be bridges on AW road and JB road too. Guess it will be the same sort of diversions that took place while the Defence Roundabout/Interchange 1 intersection got constructed. Cumbersome but not hugely disruptive. I hope. :D Wasn't there less traffic then? I cant actually remember lol

Morning all, great start to the day … whilst trying to open the glove compartment in my ageing Kia I snapped the whole opening mechanism off. Does anyone know anywhere that I might be able to get it opened and replaced? I expect the Kia garage would charge a fortune. Also, the warranty it came with from 4x4 Motors requires it to be serviced every 5000K - any suggestions for reliable/ cheap servicing garages? Thanks, :-) Drive around Al Quoz lots of garages there I use AAA for servicing cheaper than dealer

I am normally a jeans and shoes type of women so i am always at a loss when i have to wear a dress. We are hosting a party later this month and i bought a full white dress for myself (5 months pregnant too). Now i am at a loss as to what colour accessories to buy with it? I feel golden would be too much. Dress is plain with net detailing so no other colour there. Would peach or pale green will look fine with it. Saw some beautiful pieces at lovisa in dubai mall yesterday. PS: i don't hesitate to wear bright colours :) edited by angel joy on 03/04/2014 If you are feeling adventurous, one of the best colors with white would be red, but not everyone is comfortable wearing red, so it really depends on your personality :) All the nice pastel colours are good too and coral especially if you are tanned

St Tropez Essentials on Al Wasl do them, it is the only one I can use that doesn't streak or turn me orange The best fake out of a bottle is St Tropez or Fake Bake which you cannot get in Dubai Usually the sprays last 4-5 days as long as you don't get in the shower and scrub yourself senseless on a daily basis
