this is an long shot...however, we have a business idea/concept that we researched and developed are looking to sell. we've been told there is a media city based company that specializes in sourcing concepts and packages them for sale. would anyone know that company's name?

sensasia is phenomenal for pregnancy massage. more of an experience and the price does reflect that. the one at emirates golf club i found to be more special than the one on the palm

depends what you're looking for. there are lots at gold and diamond park, i've used Cara for my mums wedding rings and they are very popular for aussies. but dubai diamonds does beautiful work and you can get exactly what he's looking for by communicating with them prior to his arrival? http://dubaidiamondcompany.com/ i find the gold souk is more for Indian style gold jewelry and the place is pretty intense in summer. good luck! it's definitely the place to get a ring, australia is extortionate for jewelry.

dish.ae are fab but generally will only supply staff with their own food. limetree also offer staff so perhaps you could order a few platters from them and some staff to help out. good luck

we've done our fair share of 14 hr trips with 2 kids oldest is 3 and i find breaking it up with snacks and meal times works well, lots of little activities and walks around the plane. you could even teach them some exercises (maybe yoga poses) just for the plane that you could do towards the back. i find moving about really helps. obviously load up on all their favorite techy stuff. portable lego boards are easy to make with an ikea box. pinterest would also be a great resource for travel games. best of luck to you all - i'm sure it will be easier than you think as long as you have lots up your sleeve.

we are just about to hire a sri lankan lady that was advertised to us to have poor english. she is a wife of a friend's maid's son who has been with them for 20 years so like an extension of their family. we met her on the weekend and while she said she had poor english as the day went on we realised her english was fine and she was just being very modest and a little shy. i think finding someone that "feels right" and is connected to your network and recommended is a big plus. mind you, this will be our first home helper so perhaps i am being naive. proof will be in the pudding i suppose. all the best, it's a hard decision - but my advice would be to get a better idea of her language skills.

hi abby_n_christina. i think we've both been in the same boat for a while :) if you mean shafat from arenco i've been stalking him as we quite like the arenco villas, even if they are a little run down. do you mean the ones on umm al sheif, or behind it? the depressing thing about the arenco ones is that they have all just put up the rents a ridiculous amount. the timing is terrible.

i find when selling and buying that using email and not posting my phone number works best. it avoids tire kickers and you can send or request more images that way. both baby related things i've posted recently sold in days without annoying hagglers.

we had a group of ladies from my mums group and did a "frying pan food adventure". we had a blast on the north african food safari and the organiser is wonderful. a van picked us all up from MOE and dropped us back after our adventure in Hor Al Anz. highly recommended! stay on a houseboat rather than a pokey hotel. best way to feel among the locals and you save money making your own meals from gorgeous farmer's markets right in the city. also second artis zoo...fantastic

i got there at 5.50 and thought i'd be early..there were probably 50 people in the line ahead. the first man in the queue got there at 2.30. just after 6 they moved us all into the air conditioned hall where there were refreshments for sale. it was extremely well run and the principal was there informing us all of procedure. i was very impressed!

thanks ladies. we ended up at max burger on jum beach rd. nice play area and lovely looking restaurant. burgers were on the average side though it must be said. though i did like the healthy side options, salad and juice instead of fries and soda.

night by night we've had improvements this week. a few things i think are helping. wearing him out big time before dinner (i take him for a big scooter ride). and kiwispears we picked up the groclock as well and he seems to respond well to it and understand what sleep time means. i'm also limiting the midday sleep to 2 hours when i know he'd like more. thanks for your feedback on this one!
