... Ok so this is really starting to drive me mad now. I kept on getting tiny little flies like fruit flies dead at the bottom of my fridge. So I have tapped off the inside of the fridge as I thought that the flies were coming into the fridge from somewhere behind it. Now all I see are flies buzzing about my apartment. Obviously they have laid eggs!! Does anyone know if you can get an exterminator in to kill them once and for all?? TIA

You're right. Oceana will have no pool for 4 months from Jan due to repairs and last night one if the blocks flooded. And when I say flooded I mean flooded.

Brilliant thanks. I tried the uniform shop at Spinneys but was told it would take 10 days to order one in & I need one for today. Quick question about getting to the Courtyard behind the garden centre. Is it best to come off the SZR and head towards the gold & diamond park and turn left & left again to get to the back of the garden centre OR go the other way around?

We are in one of their managed funds and have been for the last three years, we have been very happy with the performance and I am active with our advisor on the allocation of assets. So far it's been a good investment for us. That's good to know. Thank You.

Afternoon ladies Does anyone know where in Dubai I can buy Kerastase Elixir Ultime shampoo & conditioner? Really wanted to get hold of the big pump action bottles that they use in salons. I have ordered a litre bottle from Strawberry.net, they don't come with the pumps though so you will have to either get hold of some or use it directly from the bottle I will let you know if mine arrives. It only costs 320AED and free shipping whereas when I did mange to buy them from a salon here years ago they were 600AED a bottle Jet Set do the 250ml bottles as does Roots salons Can you give me the web address again as when I put in www.strawberry.net I get a German website??

So it seems after a day or so we are really none the wiser. It's always a small hole at the bottom of my t shirt and always in the same place. Doesn't matter if I hang up my t shirt or fold them away in a draw. Can't be a belt because I don't always wear one. Can't be the seatbelt because I don't drive & rarely take taxis Can't be granite work tops as I don't do the dishes Can't be moth balls as the holes would appear in random places & not always in the same spot Can't be vanish whilst washing as I don't use it So what on earth is it??? Would kove to get to the bottom of this as it seems it is not just I who is experiencing this but many others all with the same symptoms.

I agree with the other poster on here. If the landlord wants to increase the rent he can but the must give you 90 Days notice. Do not go to RERA. Let the LL open a case and he will loose. Don't stress, easily said than done but the LL needs it follow the rules and regulations. Do go wasting your time down at the rent committee or RERA. Sit tight.

Ladies I have a date this week and I am trying to rack my brains as to where to go for it. We're going for drinks so it obviously will be a bar but want it to be somewhere that isn't going to be massively busy & noisy so that we can talk. Any ideas?

Don't want to start an argument, but...can a dinner out be without booze? Does it really matter if it dry or not!? Don't want to hijack the thread, just thinking! Typical!! You ask a resonable question on here & within minutes people are judging. Can't you just answer the question without giving judgement & opinion? Ramadam Kareem!!

Just out of interest, how much does Jamal charge? He came over to mine for 3 sets of curtain and quoted AED8000..... is that expensive? Plus I can't seem to get hold of him now for a date fiord hanging them despite me giving him a deposit. In my view that is not expensive as you are paying for materials, labour, rails, installation, etc...I was quoted AED9,500 for 4 sets of curtains that are of a good textile, good stitching, with installation, rails, etc... The quote of curtain depends on 3 primary factors: 1) Quality of material:cotton, cotton with linen, pure linen, cotton with polyester, polyester, cotton with linen and polyester 2) Labour, quality of stitching, what bottom line do you need for the curtains, double edge or weight bearing with little steel balls, etc 3) Do you need blackouts, voile?etc.... Well I have gone for silk & blackouts so yes I guess it is quite reasonable then.

Exite (sp?), the gym at Riva (building 8) definitely do bootcamps, and ladies only circuits / running clubs. Also if you just go to the track in the morning you'll see lots of small classes going on... All of the shoreline gyms have PTs who will work with you on the track, beach or in the gym - we've used a couple in buildings 8 and 10. Thanks, I'll go check out Riva today to see what they do. Thank you.

The running track is great and they have green exercise machines as well.... you could do that but you would need to kick your own butt. Yes been there and tried that but I am useless at kicking my own butt sadly.

Police, Police, Police… Please, Please, Please!!!! If it were a guy in a car making the same threats you'd go to the Police, just because you can't see them and all that!! Take screen shots of all the communications between the 2 of them and go to the Police. I know the Police here are not the same as at home but I am sure that they would be kind and considerate to a young child. I hope this gets sorted out quickly and that there are no lasting impressions left behind.
