I have just spoke to passport office to renew my sons passport, and you need to get an appointment at an office to do the 7days service, and the appointments can take three weeks, I was lucky I got an appointment for next week.

I was also told surgery was my only option, but I have so far lost 45kg with diet and exercise. I also have PCOS and an under active thyroid which is why Dr's said I could not loose the weight.....nice. To prove the Dr's wrong.

I'm a fairly big girl with very little motivation to work out alone. I also find it slightly challenging to work out with those at a much better fitness (skinny folk) level than me, hence most classes at the gym/circuit factory seem a bit daunting. I hear that's motivating to some people, unfortunately it just seems disheartening to me....I live in the Jebel Ali Village and was wondering if there were any like minded ladies around the area who would maybe want to meet up and work out together... I also work full time so can only find time early mornings or late evenings. I was very big and would never have dreamt of working out in a group class, but somehow I did get the courage to try circuit factory, and it works :-) but if that is not for you, I am in GVV if you even fancy meeting up for a brisk walk .... Not too great at running

The one off charge for office charges comment is wrong. It is one off per term of your contract ours was initially for two years but when our initial contract was due for renewal they were looking for this again and they wanted 4000 AED to renew for each year, as they would only issue one year contracts. When we questioned this they told us we had to pay it, so in the end we sent the maid back as this extra annual charge made Howdra very expensive!

DH and I have been with AXA for six years. They have four plans to choose from and it is advisable to have any treatment within their network of GP's, hospitals, etc. but the list is quite extensive. You can go outside it, but if you do, they will only pay 'what is usual and customary' and you have to pay the difference. Using their network you will be on direct billing, but outside it you will have to pay up front and claim the money back. DD and her family are with Inter Global and you are free to go wherever you wish but they don't have the facility of direct billing. Don't know if you have renewed recently but our AXA policy has almost doubled in cost this year, we renewed this month.

Your also assuming that tea/coffee is provided for staff, In many schools the staff have to bring in their own tea and coffee, so it might not be readily available!!

Buying one in Scotland would be the best idea, but if like me you have to buy it online there guides and videos online that help make sure you get the sizing right.

In the end of the day, teacher is having all responsibility, and TA are just helping. Ouch!!!!!! Glad not all teachers think like that! Well, I am not an egocentric, but in the end of the day, if the child get hurt or there is some problem, I never saw that parents are asking for an explanation from TA, they would always ask the teacher. Or am I wrong? I highly respect my teaching assistants, and they are very competent and among the children they are having the same status as I do, but I am having more responsibility that they do. I have personally find that I spent more time with the children than the teacher, as the teacher does not take them out for recess, accompany them to specialist classes etc and I am deemed responsible enough to take the class when the teacher is in meetings, off sick or on holiday.

Surely there must away of getting a tour, if not they are not very accommodating and is that the sort of school you want to deal with? If they won't help you I would stick with Safa, which I seems to be very friendly and helpful, my son is starting there in September.

Some nursery's are now approved by the KHDA to teach up to a level of FS2 Blossom ( British curriculum) is just starting to do it, taking children until they are 6. As for the age thing it might just be that nursery, my son will be going into FS2 next year at 4 years and 11 months as he just misses the cut off date, he is going to FS1 this year 3 weeks before his 4th birthday. edited by Sharry on 07/06/2013

Yes my son goes to Blossom Village, also when the class is busy for thing like water play they split the class into two groups to make things more manageable. But I don't think I have seen a day when everybody is actually in.

22 is the maximum number, but many of the kids don't go 5 days a week so it is not very often you have a full class.

You can get it at a pharmacy, just ask they all have it. I did not know it could be used to treat molluscum as my son has it too and last week to Dr was trying to convince me to let him scrape it off , but I am not a brave mummy so would not let him do it!! edited by Sharry on 19/05/2013

Nakheel are making it harder to transfer as there is quite a big penalty to cancel early even if you have somebody to take over the lease.

I never said that I had a hearing! Please ready carefully. I have discussed with them. But which 'story' did you tell them? The one where the contract is in you name, or the other version where you are just a 'guest' sharing the villa????? There is only 1 story, maybe you did not understand or my English was not good enough. So what is the correct story? Do you even know??? Or maybe you just don't wish to admit your in the wrong and breaking the law?

We had this problem about a month ago with the Grande Intenso. Apparently they were having problems with the importers, we asked in Lulu and they called us when they were back in stock. I am now keeping a months worth of stock at home all the time. If you call them on 800 348786 they should be able to tell you when they will be back in stock. We struggled to find this too, but happened to see the sales rep when in Waitrose and he claimed there was not shortage just that the stores had stopped ordering it.

I am NOT renting, am I am staying with friends there. And yes for sure I told them as I wanted to hear their advice. Then you say the contract is in your name, if the contract is in your name then you ARE renting the property You really must be at the wind up!

We had to do this last year, for the medical we had to redo the bloods, but not the X-rays, and emirates ID we just submitted our old cards and issued with new ones quite quickly.
