I bfed DD in public, using my bfeeding blanket of course. This was when DD was 1yo. I would NEVER feed her in the rest rooms. Firstly, it's dirty and smelly and also it's so claustrophobic! Not only here, but back home too . I just ensured that I have her under the bfeeding blanket. My GF who is still bfeeding her 2yo, carries her bfeeding blanket too and yes, she feeds her DD while we're having lunch just the other day in Dubai Mall. :)

I take it that your lil one is about 1 yo. The first floatation aid I used was the one that looked like this http://www.familyleisure.com/Discount-Pool-Supplies/Aqua-Fun-BabySitter . I got it 2nd hand, but I'm sure mother care would sell them. Once your LO is walking properly, switch to the arm bands one. I bought them at mother care too. Please remember to have a swimming hat on for your LO as it's so hot atm, lots of sunscreen and stay close at all times. Other than that, you will have plenty of fun! :) Enjoy.

I have left DD with a hotel babysitter. Like you I was worried about it. But I left DD after her bedtime. So, I was comforted with that fact that DD sleeps through the night. I also brought things which she is used to. The babysitter I had was also when I was staying over in Al Ain. She was an elderly lady, who spent the whole time ( 4 hrs ) praying, thats what she claimed anyway. I locked up what I needed to be locked up ( i.e., money, laptop etc in my suitcase ) and left instructions on how to make milk, and also left both mine and DH's mobile number. It was fine. Both times, DD didn't even realise that I had left the room. :D

CL, so sorry to read what you are going through. Agree with Genie here, talk to your mom. If it doesn't work, another alternative IMP is, go to see a hypnotherapist to boost your morale up.

Sorry but I think I am entitled to comment - I wasn't commenting on the CONCERT. I was commenting on YOUR POST. " shjbelle replied : Goodness me. Some of you ladies really have super high expectations. If you can dance like her continuously for that period, while wearing leather and those super high heels AND sing without gasping for breath, then and only then make a comment about how disappointed you are with Madonna lip syncing. Also, if you had expected a 'proper' show, then I truly don't think you are a true madonna fan with what controversial things she's done all her life. The only thing I have to agree is the waiting part. And I sure wish that she's sung more of her oldies but goodies that everyone know. Big Grin" You yourself said she "lip synced" and why would you expect a " proper" show. My post was to the other ladies who was disappointed on how she lip synced. And that's why i wrote that if THEY are blah blah blah and not expect Madonna lip sync. I did not say I was disappointed that she lip synced. The 'proper' bit is because one said it was too controversial for this country blah blah blah, it's Madonna. Madonna = controversy. ETA: of course you are entitled to comment. edited by shjbelle on 04/06/2012

This is not a super high expectation - this is what a SINGER is supposed to do! I really don't know what you think a performer should do. She did sing on top of her record. On the other hand, I am sure that if she did pause to catch a breath, there will be some of you here commenting, oh dear, perhaps age is catching on. and if you had listened carefully, she did NOT MIME. I wasn't there - I am basing this on what people have commented on here. I would expect a performer to sing but not along to a recording. It's not rocket science. if you weren't there, then you shouldn't have said anything about it. not rocket science. like i said, she did sing.

Shjbelle why not? Dont you think to keep people waiting to the point they were fainting or leaving before she came on is an outrage! Its the fans, the people who buy her tickets/ albums etc who made her who she is today!! I did say I agree with the waiting bit, didn't I?

Such a poorly organized event crushing on entry, over crowded stadium could have been a real disaster. What's with the no lids on drinks it meant you couldn't stock up for when you needed it later disgrace in this heat. Water ran out on some stands. Where was the cooling misters and free water promised by thinkflash i sure didnt feel/see any. The waiting for hours in this conditions was crazy. It was overall a good show spoiled by the greed of promoters, no regard to crowd safety and the late kick off. Is she really suprised the crowd wasn't enthusiastic we were done in. As for moaning about being hot try being in the crowd for hours with people collapsing all over!! Hope it's better for those going tonight. I truly don't think one can say to Madonna , hhmm excuse me madonna, you're late?

Take the bus? What bus? What's the schedule then? Where to go for brunch? Finding out there is more versions of english then just the brit english and the american english. Once, a friend told me with sad eyes that her friend's dad just expired. I burst out laughing. Quickly apologise tho.

I got married here under sharia law. I had my wedding cert translated into english then i went to my embassy here to get it attested/recognised. i then went back to my home country to get some legal things done and nothing was asked. Yes, but it seems OP specifically wants it to *not* be recognized in her home country. Hence she was asking about an islamic marriage despite not being muslim oops sorry.. didn't read that bit.

Hi Ginee, I had a spinal block, episiotomy and forceps when i gave birth to DD. If you google spinal block and according to my doula, there is one less chemical in the spinal block compared to the epidural. I didn't have any problems afterwards and til now, touch wood, no pain on my spine. I'm sorry to hear about your SIL. Hope it will be over soon.

Its really not worth a visit why do you say that? The clothes, shoes, toys and bags are all of a disposable quality. What is worth buying is the hair accessories and imitation jewellery (there must be a better word for this!). But, then the drive, the traffic and the parking are such a nightmare that make the little bits and bobs less attractive. If you want to go to a different place for good discount shopping with lots of different items, go to the new day to day opposite deira city centre. Easy drive, free underground parking. you do know there is a new underground parking at the new naif souq. the abayas are a real steal tho... and tailoring is fab there too.

Just wish for 'smarter' people in the service industry not just numpties. But it all goes to the top, which 'smart' person would go for such a small pay? Shame. Yet, some people gets paid a lot for hanging on to personal calls each day. :( ETA: also, better banks. oops, have i started on a touchy topic? edited by shjbelle on 22/05/2012

That is very strange. I had a muslim wedding here and i got it attested at my embassy here and it is recognised in my home country. I don't think there is a need for a civil wedding. Just bring your muslim wedding cert to the british embassy and have it attested. fyi, you have to go early in the am and they 'close' at 12 noon. Sorry but your muslim wedding is recognised in your home country because it is legally binding in the UAE. The OP's wedding is not legally binding in the UK, and would (I assume) therefore not be recognised by the British Embassy. But again we are not lawyers and I would suggest contacting one before proceeding any further. why won't it be recognised in the UK? Because muslim marriages are not recognised by the uk govt. In order for their marriage to be legalised, British muslims need to get married in a reg office. ah. ok. thanks :)

Thanks for the info. I can imagine the pay isn't the best! Any idea on average how much this is? To be honest it was more the working hours that I was concerned about as I have 2 children! Is there a maximum age limit for joining? I think with EK it was 30! Any information of any Cabin Crew flying at the moment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again. Absolutely. I'm with you here.

It is possible! As of right now there is only one city to layover in. if you have a good nanny, husband or help anything is possible. You do know what the pay is right? Go on with eyes wide open with regards to terms and conditions. Good group of people though! what do you mean? what is the pay like? and what do you mean with terms and conditions? I am interested, you see.

HHmm...I was wondering if your security can't do anything about it and label you the bad person even tho it's YOUR parking spot, why don't you call Al Ameen when it happens. Take a photo of the car and explain to the coppers that someone has taken your spot and security is doing nothing about it. so ask what can you do? They are very helpful.
