No I've never been is it 2nds? Its the line that goes out of season. Though not kept very well. But as is with all factory stores at the mall, you can get superbly lucky with the finds. I loved the kidstuff they had at Monsoon.

These? http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=135612 http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=130696 On a different note Meals, I wanted to ask you about the hug-a-bub wrap. Is there like a particular one you recommend? And is it easy on the back? And once you order online, how long does it take to arrive?

Not sure that I have a 'reliable answer' but I think that you might be assuming too much about the 'western world' you refer to in the description of your recipe. Oooops no no, totally didn't want to go down [b'>[i'>that[/i'>[/b'> road :) Just said "western world" because most the recipes I've seen for this are from bloggers in "the West". :D

After looking for it all over Dubai, I chanced upon a post by one of the lovely women here who had some leftover stock that would expire in a few months. I just picked it up from her last evening. When looking for information, I too pretty much got what HK said. That it doesn't induce labor, but makes contractions more effective so maybe the labor shorter? I started it today, just as I enter my 38th week so have no idea if it'll do me any good. If it does, I'll report back in a couple of weeks :D

Awesome, thanks ladies; I shall take a look at these then. Just realised that they are open through the end of the month, as opposed to me thinking it ends this week... so will probably go one of the weekdays when it's likely to be less rushed.

If someone knows Lal1's email id and can guide her to this thread, she is very helpful with crochet. She offered to help me once when I was looking for crochet info, but between work and bun-in-oven couldn't manage to get together.

Trying really hard not to get there, but my fasting sugars are still on the higher side. 104, 107 ...like that. Touchwood though that baby is measuring fine... last I checked she was 2.6 kgs at 35 weeks+3 days. I have realised that it is starch in my case more than sugar that makes it worse so have gone completely off potatoes :( and rice. How often are you monitoring? I was doing it 4 times a day till I figured out what works for me and what doesn't. Good luck Nic, keep us posted.

I just make my own. Split a few vanilla beans, scrape off the seeds, throw them in with the beans into an airtight jar filled with vodka, three months later (or sooner if you put in more beans) you'll have the best vanilla extract you can ever have. wow I'll have to remember that. If you live anywhere close to JLT, or if I ever make it to one of those coffee mornings, you are free to use some of mine. :)

It shouldn't be a problem since the batter inside is still exposed to high heat, enough to kill any of the wrong stuff. But then, I'm not sure. If you do love fondant cakes and want to be supersafe, I'd suggest you look at the other way to make them... putting a ball of truffle inside the cake instead of leaving the batter runny? edited by stovetop on 15/02/2011

I've never gone to another hospital here, just always to Welcare and have never been dissappointed. It's run by the same management as City, so I guess one is as good as the other.

Morning Can someone give me directions from JLT? TIA From JLT, get on to Sheikh Zayed and take exit 47 to Jumeirah. It comes just after the Oasis Mall. Once you take the exit, and as you cross into Jumeirah, you will see the park on your right. There's a signal straight ahead, take a right from there and park according to the gate you want to be at. Hi Stovetop The directions you given me seem to be the Big Safa Park. There is a small Safa 2 Park apparently near Kangaroo Nursery??? edited by Sham on 14/02/2011 Oooops, sorry, my preggiebrain assumed from the title that u needed directiosn to Safa Park, gate 2...lol! Sorry...have no idea where the other one is.
