They do have biga$$ taxis... we were given one by the airport once (for the 2 of us...hrmph) but I have no idea how you can get those. Maybe call the taxi guys and tell them you want a cab that's bigger than the Innova? Sorry, have no idea what car it was... but almost like a mini bus.

Sorry stovetop, didn't mean to offend, it's just that 24 out of my 26 member work pool tipped India. Both teams have played really well and it's been a fantastic tournament to watch. Oh, no offence taken. Was just telling you they're not a weak team by any standards :D I'm Indian, so on Team Blue's side all the way too. LOL.

I have tipped the Inja Ninja's to win in my work tipping pool but I'm enjoying watching Sri Lanka stick it to 'em... love to see the the underdogs in any competition do well. ETA fairytale it should finish between 8.30 and 9pm have at look at www.cricinfo.com for live scores. edited by maxindubai on 02/04/2011 SL are far from being the underdogs

I had a c section at Welcare 2 weeks back and cannot recommend them enough. I was with Dr Janaki, but all other docs are as brilliant. Worth giving them a call. They are the same management as City.

Hi Manu, try Welcare... they will have the same packages as City. I just delivered there and they were great. Are you delivering in India? In that case you can take the first 2 trimester packages that include scans and consultations.

Hi Plumie When she nurses, she is constantly falling asleep and though I keep tickling her etc., her eyes are shut but she is constantly sucking. So I don't now if she is actually drinking or just pacifying herself. When I take her off the breast after an hour or more of nursing (when I'm sore and dying) she is eating just about anything and everything within her tiny reach including hands, fingers, mittens and the blanket she is swaddled in. Once I give her formula she seems satisfied and plays by herself till she falls asleep. Am still having to give her formula (60ml per serving) atleast 3-4 times a day. Sometimes when I put her to the breast after formula, mostly to get her to fall asleep... she nurses till she leaves the breast by herself. My diet is pretty much monitored by my MIL... vegetarian and bland... lol. Mostly soups, milk with durum wheat, light vegetable curries with chapattis etc. I've started snacking on almonds too. Pumping is not going anywhere... because I seem to be nursing all the time so hardly have the time or enbergy to pump. By the time she's snacked on me and moved on to a nap after her formula feed, I'm ready to just crash :( Planning to call cecile tomorrow. Do you per chance know how much she charges for a home visit?

I had a c sec at Welcare on the 12th, and am pretty sure I was sleeping on my side the 2nd night onwards with pillows. There was slight discomfort, but not excruciating pain. I had to ask for some extra Voltarin and hot water packs for my back for the first few days. I don't know if your case is anything to worry about, but think you should have a word with your doc.

Hi Plumie, started the tabs yesterday... this morning I stood up to pick up DD and my breasts were sripping down to the floor ...so don't think milk supply is a problem... but for some reason she still seems hungry after spending an hour or over on the breast and is satisfied only after formula. Going to have a word with her pead next weekend, will get a better idea with regard to her blood sugar levels etc.

Hello hello my cricket lovelies! Being the distraught, unkempt, sleep-deprived new mum that i am, I havent read all the posts on here... but just wanted to point out this interesting fact: Pakistan has never beaten India in a 50-over world cup match. EVER :D Even in 1992, when they went on to win the cup. Izzy, what was wrong with your boys yesterday? I was rooting for them and they broke my heart :(

Please stovetop, I had my baby via c section on saturday and just got discharged today, i need someone to help me with baby bathing/massage till her cord dries up, please if the lady can do that please let me know, I live in JLT if she is willing to come to my house. Am so so afraid of bathing her and her cord and am also recovering from the operation Suma from Healing Hands. 0505797355. I live in JLT too. Not very sure about the prices per session since I have a monthly package, but do know that she is very affordable. And she is the only person I found who's legal, so that's always a plus. Tell her you got her contact from Anya's mum in JLT.

thanks stovetop :) I hope everything is ok with you and baby too :) where you get your massage done? At home. Its an Indian style massage for both new mom n baby that we do after the delivery to get the body back in shape and the muscles to regain their strength - its almost a given in our part of the world. Luckily, I've found a lady who is good and is legal, she comes Saturday to thursday. If you want to try it, lemme know. If you want to know more about it, try googling indian style postnatal massage.

I got the Fenugreek tablets today (Solgar Brand). The suggested dosage is 1 to 3 capsules at meal times. Just wanted to know how many you used and how long it took to show an effect on your milk supply. Each capsule contains 150 mg of Fenugreek Extract and 370mg of Raw Fenugreek Powder.

Ok, here's an update. Nipple shields aren't working for Baby S for some reason. Got a pump yesterday and am expressing. Tried to feed her directly from the breast the entire day today but the moment she sleeps off and I keep her down, she starts crying again. Hopefully I will have enough expressed BM milk soon, giving my breasts some respite. If anyone expresses here, I have a few questions: I expressed for about an hour this morning and managed to get only 35 ml from two breasts. Will this gradually get better? Will expressing affect my milk supply negatively at all? If for some reason I cannot get her to wean away from formula, do the mums who have been giving both BM and formula since birth have anything to share? I really, really want to try and get her on an exclusive BM diet but some days it's so hard I just want to give up, but I really don't want to. I can't thank all of you, each and every single one of you enough for your support. It really means a lot to me.

I just wrote a long message but it disappeared. Anyways, the long and short of it, have you tried Motillium? It will increase your BM and it sounds like maybe you don't have enough. 40 minutes is a long time to nurse for her to still be hungry. Motillium helped me get one of my twins nursing again when she quit because my milk wasn't enough. Guinness do I need a prescription for Motillium or is it safe to take it without consulting a doc? Did a google search and saw that it might not be FDA approved. Where is it available?

Thanks everyone. Though I must admit I am at my wit's end with BF. It's something that I really wanna do and am trying really hard, but have too many issues. 1. Right nipple started bleeding today, so am not feeding from it. Am putting Lanolin and milk starts leaking when I do from that breast, which I'm guessing is a good thing since then there won't be engorgement issues? 2. Am trying to feed as much as I can from the left breast and it hurts like the devil. Am trying to go on for 40 mins but it doesn't seem enough for baby, so have to top up with formula 3-4 times a day. Should I try shortening the gap between each BM feed? The ped told me not to go beyond 20 mins since apparently theres not much milk beyond that point? How can I wean her off formula? I really want to exclusively BF. Is it possible that she is having trouble sucking? Though the hospital staff told me that it doesn't look like it n its just that she has a big appetite. 3. Bought the nipple shields but she's having a hard time sucking from them. 4. She sometimes sucks her finger like crazy, so i don't know if shes hungry or just wants to suck. Will I never be able to wean her off the formula? I really want to exclusively BF and it breaks my heart that I can't.

Hello girls!! Baby Anya and I came home today. She was born at exactly 1212 on the 12th. Had 2 induction trials but the cord around her neck wasn't letting her engage her head, so had a CS. Anyway, I'm glad they did whats best for us. Just put up a post about making bf less painful, so no prizes for guessing where my life is going....lol. If anyone's a pro on here, please lemme know. I'm waiting for DC too! Hope she n LO are doing great :) All the best to everyone else...
