you could try Julia the Groomer at Energetic Panacea on Al Wasl rd. She does cats I believe. Could be that the undercoat is not getting at with the brush.

well, the reason we have animals is to add pleasure to our family. when the animal becomes aggressive/peeing etc and we have tried everything and you cannot rehome her then you know what you want to do. You could try calling Sanctuaries, friends of animals to see if someone can give her a 2 week trial unless someone comes forward here but when it comes down to her not having a good quality of life, your family not having a good quality of life then euthanasia might be the answer. Hate doing it, its painful and heartbreaking but your cat sounds as if she is also at the end of her road :( Normal cat things is not peeing for 3 years everywhere in the house. I could probably say that she is now doing it because she has marked and remarking. Someone had a similar problem awhile ago but I am not sure what the outcome was. Anyway, good luck and maybe someone will step forward to give her a trial.

sorry, but your vet is not very bright. It is not proven that it is better for a cat to have a litter before spaying. this sounds like the same vet that said cats should not be spayed or neutered because it will make them sick. Love to know the name of your vet. anyway. If you want a friend for your cat go over to www.felinefriendsdubai.com and check out the ones for adoption. That is the tip of the iceberg though. There are also other organizations who have kittens to rehome. People desperate to rehome kittens here that I just cannot understand why anyone would be irresponsible enough to intentionally have a litter of kittens because their cat is lonely!!! or, maybe you just are not aware :)..now you are :)...anyway, I am sure there will be more thoughts on this subject :)....FF also have a female turkish angora about 2 years old looking for a home, she could be a friend.

agree with MC. Sounds like your kitty wants a smaller household of felines and is stressed. Female spray is not like pee and it should not smell and..is usually backed up to vertical surfaces. are you saying she is actually peeing everywhere (on surfaces) rather than spraying vertically?

"hang on to your lawn signs - It's going to be a wild week in Parliament!"lol..that say it all I think. Of course we are dull, thank goodness. No Earthquakes, tornados, civil wars (well, occassionally Quebec and the rest of the country go at it but not for long lol) our PM is pretty dull but getting a bit odd lately (horrors) not much happens on a large scale. We dont have any adulterous PM that we know about, our senate is so old they sleep most of the time, the people are very nice and polite and "I'"m sorry"comes 2nd nature whether they are in the wrong or not. We have very good beer. oh and in parts of Canada it would freeze the balls off a brass monkey. Whats to find exciting lol

I sure understand your feelings ryana and alot of us have been there. I am also though, in the 'be careful' camp. Now, my suggestion might not be well taken by some but I have found that things are not always as they seem and communication can work. Often in a marriage we each get sidelined by our personal responsibilities and often the caring and love and comfort we give our children or the thought and concern we give our jobs does not always extend to our partners because of fatigue, complacency etc. By the end of the day when we see each other we have had a long, sometimes frustrating, tiring day and do not take the time to acknowledge our partner as our partner rather than someone else to take care of...at times walking in the door and getting a 2 min holding hug from the partner could make all the difference in the world and a glad you are home or so glad to see you. We sometimes forget that there are 2 of us together, this goes for both partners and when there are children that can sometimes fracture and we do not connect. For either partner this can be upseting and if there is not any communication or it becomes less and less, the other partner might feel neglected, unsure, distant. Someone has to change things, does not really matter who but someone does...in this case Ryana it might have to be you. Look at how you greet your husband, do the 2 min hug and ask him to be patient ;)...take time to ask him things and tell him about you, hold his hand and touch his arm. Bring comfort with you not suspision, smile not anger. I only suggest this and certainly not to say yo are wrong in your thinking but to see if a change in the dynamics of your relationship will bring your husbands face back to you :)..he could also be feeling that the child is always first and that you dont speak with him anymore, he might also be feeling neglected like you do but does not how to say this, just as you do not seem to be able to say this to him. I have no idea if this will help in the least but, we do forget that the man we married, will still be the man we married after the children have gone and we both must keep our marriage up or we will have nothing in the end. If in the end, he is cheating on you, then you have done all you can and will have another big decision to make. Hopefully that is not why he is distracted and not including you in his life.

did you post a picture on Feline Frieds lost and found web? put up posters, rang around all the neighbours. She is a long haired kitty? I would say she is living inside someones villa and they are not letting her out so I would do posters all around the area once again. www.felinefriendsdubai.com and go over to their lost and found section and please put a Picture of your cat and any other information, ie where, when etc.

This lovely fella had a can of tuna and some recovery food, water and was purring. He went over Rainbow Bridge because he was so injured and so full of maggots that it was better this way. Just know, if this was your kitty, he died well fed and without pain.

He is in a bad way. I took him to the vets and realized someone has loved this fella, but not enough to chip him unfortunately . Anyway, in the Al Badaá area, near Al Wasl Park...Satwa, Jum 1.....are you missing a sleek brown tabby fella that apparently loves to be loved? They are accessing him tonight... now, if someone owns this lovely boy.......he has a chunck out of his cheek :(...looks like burns on the top of his paws, awful eyes...poor fella, he must have been so hungary to come for the tuna...but..he is at the vets and hopefully he will be fine..... <em>edited by SueB on 16/03/2011</em>

put tin foil to cover the dirt in the post and cover with some stone to hold it down...oh, poke holes in it for water :) flower heads bounce. You might just have to eat this one and stop with the flowers until she is 6 months older :) not a hardship or put them where she cant get them :)

it really is amazing that sometimes the simplist things work lol. lets hope it continues. At one point and guy who adopted one of mine had 4 bowls of food...one on the bed, one in the closet, one on guest bed and one in the bathroom lol....kitty finally got the picture after a week and the peeing stopped so fingers crossed.

Your animals. Hopefully all their shots, rabies test and passports have been ready for awhile!!!! Call friends at home if you are from the UK to see who will take your animals short term if you can get them on the flight with you. The worst case is to have them put down rather than abaonden them....awful I know but if you cant find a place to send them or get them out of the country please do not just leave them, please put them down :(:(:( Maybe there is an animal sanctuary that can help????? Not sure about bringing them into Dubai :( This is the absolute last scenario. I know animals are not high on some lists but this is what I would have to think of :(. she can buy the wine at the airport duty free. It is against the law to consume it in your home though as you do not have a license and neither does she. If she was staying in ahotel and drinking in said hotel that would be the place :). But, having said that, If no one tells. Have her put it in her suitcase before getting in your car. We have visitors and are not about to tell them they cannot have a drink in our home with the doors shut :) ...I would think the police have better things to do at the moment and I have not heard expats getting arrested unless they have been drunk and disorderly.

if he is drinking alot of milk why not switch it up and make a milkshake with a banana and strawberries, throw in a tbls of good protein powder and other things...even some chocolate if he like that ;) i am sure a wee bit of icecream would not go amiss either lol

K Lynn shop fits very well I find. I also have a hard time finding something comfortable to wear all day. they have a great range of bras and seem to know how to fit :)....Festival City and Dubai Mall , MOE???

Happy Birthday Zezdee. I didn't really enjoy all my 20's, some of it was very tuff on me but what I can simply say that I have GROWN UP a lot, I have learned so much about life, people, trust, family and lot of other things.. And do I want to go back to my early 20's? Nope not at all, I might have enjoyed it at that time but I am now a different person, wiser and more thoughtful and if the time goes back I would have changed lot of decisions that I have made in the past.. Cheeky Monkey I hope that I reach the 90’s :D Your Nana is amazing! In 2006 I was with my bf in a vacation in London and met very old couples who came from USA to spend a short vacation in UK, they told us that since the husband retired they go each year to visit a new country, we really admired them.. I only wish that I will have a loving husband who would care so much about me when I am old. I feel much better than this morning.. I was almost going to cry on my way to work :D There, js is all cheered up now...glad you got over the pity party lol...now, go and enjoy your birthday!!!!!!

is she peeing on the cushions? or the arm/back??? if it is the cushions, remove them. The vets have a cleaner for urine, I forget what it is called though. She will pee in the same place becauser of the smell. You need to get rid of the amonia smell and it might have gone through to the foam, which might have to be replaced. Put a bowl of food where she pees and see what happens. They wont pee where they eat. give it a try.

What do you want to do with the kitten tiger??? :) if you want it to go away, do not feed it but, summer is coming so find a good place to leave a big bowl of water at night. If you he is getting skinny again and not being fed, then what to do? Feed him by a bin, try and find someone else to take care of him? Fatten him up, take his picture and go for the rehoming if you can...its a tough one really if yu dont want him around....or...love him and take him with you :)

Love that sTory Salsb :) I am 60. I am loving it. I was terrified, sad that I was turning 60. It was the only birthday that ever bothered me. I always looked forward to new birthdays with fun, for the most part. It is also our 30th Anniversary next month. It could all be really scary, I could hang up my sneakers and stop living because I am now a SENIOR!!! HORRORS!! So, I dont like being a senior, dont feel like one, dont look like one but I am :). I am loving it. My husband whisked me away to a wonderful holiday in Phuket, our own private pool and we spent alot of time sunning naked lol....had a great time ......so things have fallen, things have gotten grey, there are wrinkles I am trying to control lol...but I feel great, am healthy and hope the next decade slows down a bit as 50's went way too fast .....so JS...enjoy your 30's. what a wonderful decade the 30's....I loved my 30's the best but now having been through 5 decades I am thinking I might just like my 60's the best :):):)!!!!

If someone is making you feel less than you are or belittles you, puts you down or does little annoying hurtful things that you only see, then get that person out of your life. Remove her. Just because she is also friends with other people does not mean they will automatically stop being friends with you. If they do, they are not worth it really and why surround yourself with people who do not buoy you up and help when you are down, dont gossip, care about you, thoughtful etc etc...those are the people you should be friends with. The rest really do not matter. If you think you are a doormat because you dont feel worthy, then get to a councellor, life coach or somthing and fix it! Bottom line, get rid of the people who make you feel bad, life is not worth it. BTW, this is not just a Dubai thing, it happens all over the world.

My husband uses Elite Auto in Al Ramool. They are a bit more but definitley guarantee their work. He also suggested JAS Auto in Al Quoz, not sure if it is the men mentioned below but he said they also do work on German cars and have had good things written about them As far as the age of Mercedes. It is considered a Classic car so if in good repair it can stay on the road past 10 years. Our is a 1997.

good heavens, an extended weekend away with your husband for 4 days is not like taking a 2 week hols and leaving the kids with the maid :).....For a good majority of people, taking time to reconnect is a good thing, does not mean you are not a family, it just means you will be more connected partners. Then again, some can never see themselves separate from their kids and thats fine too :) If you feel guilty (please don't though, reconnecting with your marriage is a very normal thing) you can always promise your kids that they will get 4 days away as a family the next time :)....everyone wins.

Mine are grown so not alot of help now but when little we didnt have any money lol...so going away was not really an option.....having said that.... the guilt. Mums are made to feel guilt over so many things and we guilt ourselves even worse (hmm is that a proper sentence lol) so , enough with the guilt ;)...you deserve time away with your husband to get busy without the kids, time to relax and rejuvenate and just be a wife and lover for a few days. Your kids are in great hands you said and they will be fine (horrors!!!) without you lol...and think how great, relaxed and happy you will be when you get home (INCLUDING YOUR HUSBAND!!!) :)

JS....will only hyjack once Mrs. L..... :)....your neighbours cats are indoor cats right? if so, it is highly unlikely that they have over at the meadows unless they are trying to find their way home. But, if they were apt cats they would not be able to do this. She needs to step up efforts to find them close by, put out their bed by the gate with a sign to please not take., put out food, tie an old tshirt with her smell on it to the gate,..tie the bed to the gate if necessary. Put up posters all around the neighbourhodd as the cats will be terrified so might have gone into hiding. She needs to look when all is quiet at night. As shame, I do hope she finds them :(
