thanks so much for the information. I find it amazing that a child who is desperate for the body to rest and rejuvinate, cannot sleep more than 3 hours. In the things I have been reading it suggests that if the child can sleep normal hours for a child 8 or more than the symptoms reduce to a manageble level? Did you find that Desertrose? How is your son functioning now?

yeah I hear you lol....poor guy. If the cat does belong to your landlord tell him to please get his cat fixed so he is not quite a bully...keep yours in for a day or so if you can :)

you do not appoint a godparent because it might make her a nicer person. From what you are saying, you do not like her, she is unbalanced, manipulative, and down right nasty. Why do you want her to be a mother to your children if something should happen to you ? Is this the woman who you want to spiritually guide your children through their lives because that is one of the main purpuses of a godparent. Honestly, sounds like you have not put alot of thought into picking this woman for your childrens godparent :(. I would resind the offer and think of someone who will love your children, is kind, a good roll model for your children, someone they will love and trust as the years go by. In other words, someone that you know will guide your children, is not nasty, sets a good example and above all love them and follow the direction on how you raise your children. Enough of the petty squabling..children first, nutty sil who you dont even like very much, at the end of the line. btw, she will always butt in, thats is apparently who she is. the unfortunate thing is she bought a puppy and a sick one :(...also one that was probably taken from its mother too soon :(....I know she has paid a princely sum for the pup and is desperate for a home. I dont think however she can expect to get much of what she spent, especially if she wants a good home immediately. I am not sure she would be in the position to turn away potential families because they would not pay...just a thought to pass on if you like :). I am sure the pup will be rehomed quickly, especially if he lookslike the picture you posted a link for!!!

yes, they will give him a shot for infection then pills to take for about 4 or 5 days. Depends on the Vet. they will clean the wound and check for others. The skin might be harder, they will probably have to trim jagged edges if any and a good clean, which could mean sedation and pick him up later in the day. Unfortunately, they cannot cover but let the air help heal :)...He will be fine and he wont have an abcess anywhere :). He can be indignent all he wants lol...you are paying the vet bill lol. You might have to keep him in until the skin heals over to prevent infection. He will just have to live with that :)..good luck. :)

you must clean the wounds with hydrogen peroxide, cut it with a bit of water if you like but flush out the wound. You cannot cover it. Put the kitty in a room with a cat box with clean towels, clean litter box clean everwhere :)..food and water. He will be fine until morning unless of course the skin is ripped right off, then I would suggest you contact a vet asap. Al Barsha is open until 10..but might be closed now :( You can, after flushing, and if you have steril pads to put some cold water on the pad and press gently on his skin to relieve some of the pain. Keep him quiet until the vets tomorrw. Dont use anything else on the cat as some/lots are toxic....hydrogen peroxide will clean it...you can also do warm salt water but make sure it is discolved and it will hurt as much as the hydrogen but you must clean the wounds.

T.V. just did a documentary on that exact thing. N.Z. meat supposedly does not use growth hormones and only Western Aus does. They wold have no idea where in Aus it comes from. I now buy NZ beef only

now that sounds like a nosy parker lol...why not tell the truth. A taxi driver was in your house last night while you were away. He was there for about 1/2 hr. Thought I would let you know , just in case. Sorry but when someone comes to see me and asks if everything is ok, and it is not a close friend, I smell nosy lol and would not say a thing. But, if they told me a cab driver was in my house for 30 min, different story :) besides, if you really were worried about the family you might have called the police, right? :) just my thought.

Chris Whatley at City Hospital..he collegue is the foot specialist, unfortunately, I cannot remember his name but my Podiatrist highly recommended him or Chris. Ops, wrong hospital. sorry I just saw your question. About 4 times a year I think. It is slow release. and you can overwater grass, we now only water every 2 to 3 days for 3 minutes. I think every 3rd day is good for us, 4 is too long, but check the pots more often. I actually find that the when the flowers are gasping I water in horror that the poor things are gasping lol

DARC has called and I am pretty sure they will take him, poor fella. All snuggled down in his cage, sleeping upside down lol,, bet he is pretty darn tired :(... Anyway, if you know of someone who has recently lost a white (well creamy) ferret, let me know, this might be him :)....oh and he is a little smelly lol

I didnt find him!!! he found my stray cats food lol. The last 2 days I have been putting alot more cat food as it has been disappearing...I thought maybe a dog or the birds were filling up lol...I am now certain it was Mr. Ferret here. A boy rang out bell tonight and out we went. D. thought it was a rat and I said no, ferret, ran to get the cage and he walked straight in and sat down lol. So, I now have a ferret in my bathroom, a houseguest cat in the spare room and my resident stray in the maids room, now, i know what to do with all of them including the dog, but a ferret, that is way out of line of work lol.....will give Al Barsha a ring, already rang DARC..hopefully someone will come to my rescue...he is a cutie,,all tucked in with paper, dry cat food, water, and a place to burrow,,,,,,,,

poor fella looks like he needs some medical care. He walked straight into the cat cage and is eating dry cat pellets...I will take him to the vets tomorrow. Is there a ferret association here or something?? anyone?? I am a little afraid to handle him at the moment, I have never held a ferret, will he bite lol...

marycatherine, I have never heard a herd of goats called a flock...I thought only birds were flock lol..so...here is something I pulled up :) It should be noted that one never speaks of a flock of cows. Cows are found in herds, not flocks, while goats may be found in herds, droves, toops, or trips. The animals most commonly found in flocks are sheep, and not goats.

geez ladies, you are making me wish I had not shared my happiness about lUSH....I like it, I like the concept and so far, like what I have used. Dont shop in the UK so have no idea about prices, what they charge here is fine with me, I am not going to buy the shop :)..like all cosmetics, some work and some dont work, same with everything. It doesnt work for your skin, dont use it, if it does, use it. ;)...anyway, I like it :)

Therapy bar .62dhm.. about .20 cents cdn and other things that I personally did not think were very expensive. You mean to say in the U.K. they are even cheaper than this? you can buy soap by the gram, which I do like as well as other things, so you buy what ytou need. anyway, I liked the shop very much, smell and all :) 30 dhm is not 10 cents....... is over 8$ Your right Izzy...oops lol

It takes me less than 5 min to wash a kitten. Lots of practise with ringworm kittens :(....I put a couple of towels in the dryer while the wash is happening then gently rub down then pop into the warm towels with the hot water bottle. Change towels every 10 minutes, they usually go to sleep with all the warmth and I keep them warm most of the day until they are dry. A less dirty cat does get the warm cloth rub down so they clean themselves, but if this fella is filthy, it might be the only way.

I did get too close to a bubble ball and snorted a few nosefulls lol.....I can see why the smell might bother some, I personally love the smell now my bathroom has a lovely scent when I walk in. Not as much as the store of course, could not live with that amount :)

I don't normally push something on here unless I have been very impressed. Well yesterday my nose led me to LUSH..a U.K. shop I understand. It is an all natural cosmetic/body/massage bar/shampoo/balms and lots and lots of other yummy stuff!!! It looks like a candy shop and their products look and smell good enough to eat lol. Kids (and adults) will love the gelly soap lol...what a riot, kids will never complain again about their bath. Anyway, thought I would share. It is in Mercato Mall, up the escalators, turn left and go to Costa Coffee, it is in the small courtyard. It has only been open for 4 days and the salesgal said people have come in but no one talks so she is lonely, so, go in, chat, smell .........

give FF a ring and leave a message. I am sure they will help you out if you are going to rehome her and foster her yourself. Keep her in the room in a warm place in a cat carrier covered with a towel and heating bottle/pad or what you have. It all depends on how old she is but if very tiny and stressed she will be cold, so keep her warm with towels in the cage (door off) where she can nuzzle. Do not give her milk though unless it is warm kitten milk. The vets have baby mouse if she is very young or just wet kitten food, and dry kitten....get some pet shampoo and give her a bath, of course she wont like it but if she is dirty you should. Take her to the vet for a checkup and worming. After her wash, take pictures and put the link on here ;) You shoul..d not let it mingle with the other cats until it has had its 1st shots then at least a week after. You can put her in the cage and bring her into the rest of the family so she has company and the cats will see her and bring her in the kitchen when you are cooking etc. It will get her used to house noise and she will be safe from the meanies lol. Make sure you wash your hands after handling her and before you pet your cats just in case she has ringworm ;)....so, thats about it...I am sure someone else will add something ;) <em>edited by SueB on 05/02/2011</em>

Poor M. Andre is getting lost among the beautiful animals. He has been here 3 days now and he is just the lovelies cat, is dying to play with mine, loves to cuddle and purr. Would make a wonderful family pet....honeslty....poor guy is being moved from pillar to post..going back to his original foster family on the 8th, to wait, once again for another family. ....give him a chance,
