Dear Ladies, Do you know if you can sponsor your sister the same procedure like your parents to stay longer like 1 year? Regards yes, my sister is in my sponsorship but its long ago and I have to renew her visa every year like my mother's visa. You have to prove that your sister is unmarried (and after sponsoring my mother) she can not live alone back home. Dear sunlight, thank you very much for your advice. I am not working is it possible that my husband can sponsor my sister. Do you recall the procedure, can she travels on tourist visa (we are Thais ) and converted to residency visa later on without leaving Dubai? Dear OP, apologies for this I have no intend to hijacked your thread. Thank you for your understanding in advance. Regards sorry for delayed reply. I forgot this thread. yes if you can prove them that you are her kafeel (sponsor) and if you are in Dubai you can not leave her alone back home. Dubai immigration is very good and they will consider & give her visa at humanitarian basis. but it will take time you have to speak to officers sitting upstairs. for me it took one month.

Spanx! I know there is a selection available from Debenhams. But I'm sure other dept stores will have a lot to choose from too. Marks & Spencer also have their own brand. Spanx are so much better that the M&S range of shapewear You can get them from K Lynne Sarahlou123 is right. I love spanx, little costly but really worth it.

I always use pampers for my DD. stretchy tabs that wrap snuggly around the waist. other brands can not stretch like pampers. you have to choose right size for your baby ( if it is leaked)

Did any one here manage to get hold of the Groupon deal for Sanabel Chocoholic brunch with soft drinks? Sadly, they are all sold out :( . If someone here got one and doesn't want to use it, please do let me know. I would love to have it. TIA. I think Deal is still on. http://www.groupon.ae/deals/dubai/sheraton-dubai-mall-of-the-emirates-brunch/39742022

Open a National Bonds account in your child's name. The savings would be in sums rather than coins, but if you fill a piggy ban with coins then exchange it for cash, you can put the cash into the bonds. Many children have even won larger denominations. One child won 1 million dirhams. And this way yu reintroducing hi to both savings and the concept of bonds. I started to save some amount since last year as a national bonds (in my youngest daughter's name) but never won more than 50 LOL ;).

I am almost 59 and received the odd smacked backside as a child. I can also remember getting a wallop on the bottom from our next door neighbour when she caught her own DD and I picking her prized roses! My parents nearly throttled me when she told them what we had done and I was kept in for 2 days!! Her DD got the same treatment of course! We were 7 at the time! I gave my own children the odd smack and had no issues with grandparents or other relatives doing so if they saw misbehaviour that I didn't. To be honest, they rarely needed it as a glare from me was enough! Attitudes are very different now and far too many parents think that no other adult has the right to even speak to a child that is misbehaving. thats True JoyceB..... I also do smacking & some time wallop on the butt, but will not allow anybody else to do the same with my kids.

Good Morning Ladies, My cousin is on tourist visa and offered a good Job in Sharjah but she doesnt want to go back home country. if you came on tourist visa, it is must to leave the country for applying the employment visa. is there any good & cheap option for visa change. Thanks in Advance It depends on the passport, if she gets visa on arrival she can drive to Oman or fly to Qatar, these would be the quickest and most cost effective ways. thanks for the info Di but we sent her tourist visa. she didnt get visa on arrival. before there is an option to pay some amount & you don't have to leave the country? I'm not sure about that, best call AMER hotline, 800 5111 they will give you exact details of what she can do. oh thanks, its a GREAT help. will call now

So true! I hate going to Dubai mall, never lost my car there but I still find it useful. Me blonde thinking now :) Me too, I tend to use the mobile camera to take the picture of row number or mobile app to locate my car. I do the same, eventhough I have good memory...but you never know. that's true..... I have a very bad experience of global village parking. I was loaded with the stuff and running here & there. key fobs will work only when you are in the same area & nearby your car. :)

I use dropbox for sharing files and photos etc but would not store anything personal on/in it. It is reliable, quick, and easy to use but I just don't trust the internet for anything personal. thanks mrsb. it means after sharing, I have to delete all the files from Dropbox. it will be a first time I am going to use.

wouldnt have said anything, would say its none of my business. i'm not saying i agree with it but i dont think its anyones place to say. I agree, I would not have said anything - it is not my business. It does not mean I agree with slapping a toddler however, we must remember we are living in a country with over 100 different nationalities, cultures, traditions, etc and it is wrong to interfere. Also, there is a BIG difference between a slap and abuse. I can imagine the the toddler was tired, bored and frustrated and the mother was tired and frustrated too. Shopping is not an activity that a toddler enjoys or can manage for any extended period, but sometimes a mother has no other choice. yes .... sometimes there is no choice. don't blame mother. if she is slapping her kid, she is feeling the same pain too.

my Corner sofa feet has sharp metal edges. I need some safety clips sort of things. pls help Tennis balls work well, cut an x slit into one side, not too wide and push the tennis ball over the foot of the chair, safe and cost effective! Looks quite fun too, you can spray paint them to match the chair colour if you like. oh GREAT Idea. thanks a LOT:)

And then you get the idiots who ask you about kids when you are unable to have them like my poor DD who has had IVF which failed. She is now looking at adoption. One of her "friends" wanted to know whose fault it was and maybe she could try a one night stand with a trusted male friend who was fertile!! My DD's response is not printable! oh NO :/:

its really irritating if a male passing such comments. Yes I agree if any female ask such questions, I don't mind. if anybody have their plans that is a separate thing but sometime people need some suggestion/guidance and shy to ask. if someone asks in a polite way then only they can open up.
